@Cap'n:
I hope not. What an awful character.
Any video character that does the DX crotch chop is a-OK by my standards.
I just hope that Mr. Game & Watch is still a playable character so I can ruthlessly destroy him. I loathe that SOB….

B: Surplus Cash (throws bags of Bells, like Mario's B)
B^: Giant Slingshot (launches himself out of a gigantic slingshots, like Fox's B^)
B> or B<: Axe Dash (spins around, holding out an axe and moving straight forward)
Bv: Pitfall (buries a Pitfall in the ground, can only bury up to three at a time, if the opponent steps on it, they can't move for a short time)
Personally, I'd really like to see Pac-Man as one of the 3rd party characters. He probably the great-grand father of most Video Game characters, and his image is world renowned. Plus, I tihnk he'd be better than Sonic.
Pac man looks and would play too much like Kirby. And he's kind of a has been too.

Just like Mario if you think aboot it. I wouldn't mind seeing Kalas from Baten Kaitos in the new Smash Bros game. Either that, or we give Master Chief a bump and put him in the game. Hell the problem would be that he would probably play like Snake.

Not…. really.
If you're talking about hasbeens, Sonic may as well change his name to Bandicoot.
Koopa Troopa… I'd probably play him if he's added. Though, do we really need Toad in this game? Doesn't Toad ... not do anything?
I'm liking that K. Rool someone had with his moves about how they could be from each of the Donkey Kong games. Yo what if they had Felix the Cat or somethin, but I dunno what his moves would be.
@Kidany:

K. Rool would be interesting play as, seeing as he would have the same power and acceleration as Bowser.
I really hope Slippy makes the cut. I'll have so much fun beating the living shit out of him with Metaknight. Fox can't help you now bitch!

Personally these are the only ones I could see being in the game myself, and I'd be really pissed if they put Sora in, then again I could beat the shit out of him with Link lol

Not really what? They're both colored balls with human limbs and their powers are based on them eating stuff.
And do you honestly think there's a pacman fanbase? The last dozen of Sonic games may have sucked sh*t, but there's still tons of guys who'd like to have him in SSMB. At the very least he can still appeal to the furry community. j/k
I'm not a fan of either btw. I think they both blow.
Well, Kirby's is more on taking on powers. If anything he'd be similar to Yoshi.
He has his own platforming series, which I've never played, but I'm sure there's more material there than "eat stuff."
It is pretty much a case of eat stuff, but in "Kirby and the Amazing Mirror", certain powers open up certain paths through the level and I get the impression Dreamland uses a simular system (it's been a while since I last played it). Can't comment on the other Kirby games.
..no, I'm talking about Pac-Man.
I seriously doubt that Magaman would be in any SSB game, mainly cause he is in the Marvel Vs. Capcom series (which they need to bring back again). Sonic could be in the game, but I have a feeling that they might announce him last.
What does Megaman's apperance in MvC have to do with anything?
If Megaman does appear in the new Super Smash Bros Brawl/dojo. I hope that it is the Blue Bomber megaman not the pathetic X version.
After the release of the first X game, I just lost interest in the games at all.

There's also an older Snes game with some sort of weird Slingshot thing, that could be incorperated in to his fighting style somehow if he appeared.
Could probably take stuff like rolling and some sort of drawing move from the DS games too.
Can Someone say ..GLOVER?! ^^;;
I hope you can unlock old NES games to play .. like if you play enough times with Pit .. you'll get "Kid Icarus" added to ur library or something. that'd be cool
Can Someone say ..GLOVER?!
NO NOT THAT DAMN WALKING GLOVE.
Ah that game was great, wasn't there a second game as well for the 64?
Heh. Glover could certainly be interesting. He could move by riding around on the ball things he rolls around everywhere on and be able to change them with one of his moves or something.
Or maybe he could be like a miniature Master Hand.
Edit: I'm pretty sure there was just one game, unfortunately.
Yes, there was only 1 Glover
xD
lol that would be nice, but I doubt it'll happen, though I am suprised they haven't announced Kid Icarus for the GBA or something.
God, I remember Glover, I bought it for the PC for like 99p or something lol it was amazing. But yes, he'll be like a master hand on a ball
Glover? Are you kidding me, what's next, Towelie in SSMB?
Yeah, Glover is someone I don't want to see..
Throw in Chameleon Twist and the chump from Quest 64 and it'll be N64 Bit Character Nightmare.
Anyway, some interesting details: http://www.joystiq.com/2006/06/05/sakurai-reveals-new-smash-bros-brawl-details/
Arg…I know its near impossible, since if any Megaman makes it in, it will be the original....but....
I WANT SOME MEGAMAN LEGENDS CHARACTERS!!! Megaman Trigger, or Tiesel or Tron in a Gustaff would be AWESOME! Oh well, I can dream >.>.
fake crap
@Sandai:
What does Megaman's apperance in MvC have to do with anything?
Actually, it means a lot. Currently the majority of the Megaman/X franchise are on Sony consoles, with the exception of the Megaman.EXE spinoff, which has been mainly a Game Boy series, with the exception of the one game (whose name escapes me at the moment) that was on the Gamecube, and the Megaman/X collection games. Plus, Megaman was a playable character on both MvC games, so I seriously doubt (bear in mind, this is only personal opinion speaking) that Capcom would make another version of the classic Megaman for SSBM. If anything, they would make the .EXE version and make him a playable character.
I guess all I'm saying is that since since Capcom already defined Megaman as a playable character on a series that they had created, they may not want to put the same version of him on a seperate series on a seperate gaming console.
Well, uh, Snake was already playable in that big Takara/Hudson/Konami game, and he's obviously fit to be in Smash bros, so I don't see where you'ew going.

Wait, what game? I don't think I've heard of that one.
I think it's called DreamMix TV World Fighters or something. It was never released here, sadly.
Playable characters included Snake, Simon Belmont, Megatron, Optimus Prime, Master Higgins, and a Moai head.

Ridley is five time Samus' size, there's no way they could implement him in the game without taking away a big part of what makes him so awesome, the fact he's a f%cking giant space dragon. I for sure don't want to play or fight against a half-assed Ridley who'd be Bowser's size.
Anyone else think that the Pikmin might be an item? They would follow you around and attack your opponents for you.

Check the link Carter posted. It says that stuff was just a rumor.
@Cap'n:
This is interesting, if it's true. I'm still putting it as a rumor at best. Ridley is awesome, and Wind Waker Link instead of Young Link would be sweet. Boo to Bowser Jr.
I agree.

I heard someone say that Kirby is a few inches tall but in the SSB games he's about as big as Mario. And if I remember correctly, most Pokemon like Pikachu aren't known for being very tall either, yet were about also about as big as Mario. It's likely that Ridley would be re-sized to make him about as tall as Bowser (assuming he's in the game). Plus I believe he may have been around Samus' size in the first Metroid game (though I'm not 100% sure on that).
Even though the stuff turned out to be false, I think there's a good chance of Ridley, and I don't see a problem with resizing him.
Same here. And I prefer Wind Waker Link to Young Link. There's more that can be done with him in my opinion.

Yup, that would be the name. I played it once… It's not that great and I sucked with everybody but Bomberman, but the Moai Head made it worth playing by itself.
But yeah, Snake fit in there pretty well and if anything, I think it'd be easier for Nintendo to do it considering how much weirder DreamMix's cast was.
Just a minor suggestion. If you find out something is a rumor, wouldn't it be nice to edit the rumor link out of your previous post?
You never know if some kids are just browsing the thread for links or something.
Anyways, the other link said something about making it slower/easier? I think that is a bad idea. I liked the speed in Melee.
Yeah… I don't think it'll be a huge problem though.
I was kind of thrown off by the speed in Melee after the first game, but I got used to it pretty quickly and started to like it better, so I think (or at least hope) it'll be like that.
I'll be kinda dissapointed if it ends up being easier though, I really liked Melee's level of difficulty.
melee was faster? Dunno why but I didn't see any difference, although yes, there were more zany as we say levels compared to the older one and I also got to play 4 player on Melee compared to Smash Bros but still, I didn't see much change.
Anyways, the three characters…interesting, I liked Ice Climbers myself, they were fun to play as but meh, I wont mind not seeing em, Y. Link and Game and Watch can go lol.
As for Celda, I must say: YEAS! Although he might look a lil weird next to the more darker looks of the other characters I still like it lol.
Ridley: I been looking forward to seeing this guy for a small while, as long as they keep him smaller tho (think the one we saw on the Melee intro)
Bowser Jr: Meh, not sure on this one, I mean, I can't really see much that he can do that Bowser cannot.
Uh, Jango, the rumor's false.
And Melee was definitely faster paced than SSB. I think I saw Sakurai mentioned that airborne moves will be better to do, which I like, because I'm a mostly midair fighter >_>
it was? Damn, I never saw anything that said it was false so I just assumed it was a maybe lol oh well.
Plus I believe he may have been around Samus' size in the first Metroid game (though I'm not 100% sure on that).
He was, as well as Kraid. It was just because of the power limits of the system though.
lol, nice mods to that wrestling game. That Pikachu guy scared me though….
LOL!
I laffed my ass off when I saw Pikachu !! its a yellow "The Tick"
Hmm WWE and Nintendo together? I would love to see the Smash Bros series branch off to more genres like racing or sports then just fighting. Hell a Nintendo based wrestling game would be crazy, think aboot Link's trademark finisher, a hurricane clothline.
Lol that Wrestling Mod rocks!
wow, I was reading Nintendo Official Magazine (UK mag) and apparently the Castle stage shown in the trailer is actually a Fire Emblem one 0.0 I didn't know that, tho it was probably already discussed.
