You actually CAN catch a Gengar in DPP at the Old Chateau, if you have one of the GBA games in the bottom slot. But I think it's more likely that there's an in-game trade. Or maybe somebody bought two copies? Or maybe they actually did find a local trade?

It's from Pokebeach, so it has high possibilities of being real. Considering they were spot on on almost everything they leaked previously, it's safe to say those are legit.

Besides, there're still many new pokemon to be revealed.

Pokebeach rumors were super legitimate mostly because of them coming from one specific guy. Those rumors came from someone else entirely, which means that they had none of the credibility of the first rumor set in the first place

If we go by the released pokedex lists of pokemon one leaker has encountered, ones like Spritzee, Dedenne and Clauncher aren't mentioned, even though they're almost certainly early on Pokemon. It could've easily been missed.

Sorry it didn't say Trusk was early on, but it did specifically point out a pokemon called quillom of having that distinction. We've seen nothing of the sort though. It also said Froakie's final evo would be bulkier, water fighting, and have more bubbles which are all blatantly untrue

A reviewer said that the recent Pokebeach leaks were fake, except for three things that were "50% real". At this point, I think those three things were the Helioptile evolution, the Meowstic prevolution, and the Clefairy and Togepi lines getting retyped.

I don't think Espurr was one of the things counted since it was revealed by the original leaker. I'd say the third thing was probably the bunnelby evolutions appearance being larger, rounder and having a lot more brown

Well, Abomasnow was on the trademark list along with a bunch of other pokemon with confirmed megas, so I think we can expect all of them to get mega evos at this point, plus a few that might not be on the list

I don't see how someone who got a full copy of the game could be half wrong on anything unless they were going off memory a long time after the fact. And certainly not as dead wrong as he was on Froakie

That wasn't a rumor, it's a list of trademarks that the pokemon company took out recently. They may not all be due to mega evos, but it seems pretty likely that most are considering.

Yeah, it's not specifically a list of Megas, but there's already a lot of overlap.

BTW, it's the first Mega to keep its normal ability, which is a very good thing in this case.

Wouldn't it be better for a mega to have a switch in ability changed? Because you'd switch it in as normal, snowstorm starts, THEN mega evolve and take advantage of it. Having it keep the ability after megaevolution is a bit pointless, although I guess you can still switch out mega evos without them reverting
