Yami's bringing the big guns for a brawl, and it turns out Big Lock really sucks. Also, why do a group of martial artists have political influence? I never got that.

I have a feeling that this is going to suck for our heroes.
This weeks chapter is up…I am guessing it was on a break last week due to the holiday http://www.mangahere.com/manga/historys_strongest_disciple_kenichi/v45/c534/
I'm the only one thinking that one of the masters will die?
I'm the only one thinking that one of the masters will die?
Because it's 4vs14? As someone else said, their Master Class allies will probably show up to lend a hand.
James getting a real fight is one of the things I have been really looking foward to in this series.
Yes I can see it too. Other master will interfere the only three I can think about are :
But this is still not enough, the masters need more help…
Well few Shadow fists might switch sides to the good guys… unarmed and armed members of Yomi might start fighting with each other, also I dont think Saiga Furinji is actually that bad and he might turn to be a good guy....same could say Kenseis brother...
Many of Yami's will most likely switch sides aswell, they have befriended with Shinpaku to some extent and might end up to their side... basically this will turn out like Ragnarok saga ending but bigger scale...
Personally I would not like this kind of scenario to happen, it has happened too many times in diffrent series and it would be welcomed change of pace to see our good guys put to real desperate position for a while.
well the rooftop showdown with the 1S9F isn't looking any easier. Saiga/Ogata are definitely going to have to be 1 on 1 fights so that will leave 2 of the Maters having to face multiple opponents (wild cards being Agaard and Hongo) and on the other front it looks like Kenichi will be moving out soon
I think the man at the end of the chapter is the guy who cut Shigure's father arm.
I'm really enjoying this cute behavior from shigure.
Honestly I'm not that excited to see Hongo/Agaard/Suigetsu ma, fighting once again… It's kinda repetitive...
That being said i'd love to see Akisame vs Furinji that fight must be amazing.
Also Rahman he has a unique style, and kushinada is definitely on Jenazard level if not stronger...
I think it's the first time in HSDK that I can't tell the scenario, but I can say one thing SHIT is about to go down^^
Heh, nice idea. I wasn't too fond that a lot of the chapter was the Ryuuzanpakou masters just standing still, but at least this kind of clears up the problem they faced earlier - they actually know how to combine their powers, while the Satsujinken masters are all very competitive even among themselves. So, they've never trained with each other. Which somewhat evens out the playing field. Nice.
No one care for this manga anymore? It's at a good point even!!
I do care.
And I liked the latest chapters a lot, I also liked the revelation last chapter about the power of masters when they are reunited they became stronger it makes sens.

Good! I still think they won't be able to properly match all 7 of the 9 fist masters, especially with Furinjii being there as well… Maybe the other masters, as people have speculated above, will really help them out. That would also play more into the usual 1 on 1 battles that have been portrayed throughout most of the manga so far.
By the way, one of the next OVAs will cover Apachai's backstory. And it will include his fight with the Elder.
The way this arc is moving along it reeks of deaths and a timeskip. Not sure why i get the ominous vibe, but it feels like a good setup. Elder will come back and only kenichi and miu will remain, hide and train for a while, come back swinging. I enjoy most of the fights but i feel like there's only so much Kenichi can still do at an apprentice level.
The most I expect is the Elder giving up an arm in order to defeat the leader of the executioner's blade.

Status quo must be maintained, while such drastic leaps on story would be preferable I am not sure if author has courage yet to do such decisive decisions to the story. It is very unlikely that Ryozanpaku masters will suffer any real hardships but presence of Haoshou execuction members can result for unexptected consequenses.
Well they locked down Invincible Superman in that island for days and there might be something coming out of this.

I can see why he would hesitate about pulling a time-skip. During a power shift in the martial arts world would seem legit in my opinion.
is really that difficult to shoot a guy in the head when you see he has a bulletproof vest? Even though i don't think bulletproof vests works as the author thinks they do,but we are talking about superhumans here anyway,so no biggie
Oh god the author is dragging this, every week i say yes we will have some action but no…. even next week I don't think we will have a fight, Shigure's team is fucked. But still I like this kind of situation cause we can't predict what will happen, so yeah wiat & see

Shoot a guy on head who can effortessly dodge bullets? Only reason he uses vest because he dont bother dodging every single bullet. Besides headshots in combat situation even with normal humans specially with pistols is like playing a roulette…

Better not get hopes up, this might be either turning point of entire series or another sidearc with no impact at main story.

exactly,he said himself that is not going to bother dodging bullets,so just take your aim and shoot him between his eyes.
i know that hitting someone in the head is really difficult, that's why they teach you to don't bother trying taking headshots and just aim for the chest becaus "you'll eventually hit something vital".
the fact is ,though, that a difficult shot is better to stay there being cut to pieces like they are doing right now.
i know i shouldn't be so bohthered about it..but it's something that present itself in so many stories in so many media, people with guns against someone with some kind of bulletproof armor and a completely exposed face that no one try to hit even one time.

I totally agree. It really bugs me too lol. So many shows and movies where I'm yelling "Aim for the head!"
I would expect what seems to be a tactical unit to be able to know at least to shoot for the head. They don't necessarily have to get the shot, but don't have them cower immediately after realizing he's wearing a bullet proof vest. Could have shown him dodge a head shot or block it, then they can cower.
Anyways. I don't know what happened to me last week, but I appeared to have missed a chapter…Then I was greeted with this fan art. http://www.mangahere.com/manga/historys_strongest_disciple_kenichi/v45/c536/20.html
You'd think I would have learned my lesson about going to that site lol.
Shinpaku need backup like crazy now. The sythe dude just likes cutting people and not fully killing them yet. crazy
He said this chapter he doesn't like to dodge, not that he can't guys, it was pretty obvious the way they set it up that if it would hit his head he would dodge, or cut down the bullet but if it was gonna hit his body armor he wouldn't bother
http://readms.com/r/hsdk/538/2056/1
Shit getting real.
Yeah, i also think there's going to be a time skip, or there should be one in my opinion. The enemies are getting stronger, the Shinpaku Alliance is becoming more and more irrelevant, and all Kenichi can do is watch the masters fight. This is one series where I would really like to see a timeskip. Kenichi plus timeskip would result in a scary strong main character, and the alliance would become stronger as well.
Wow, suddenly I care way more about Shigure's suicidal fight vs. several masters as opposed to the Master Brawl going on elsewhere. Nice twist, I like it!
Also, that archer lady was a different wtf moment every panel she was in.
I really liked Archer lady. Gratuitous fanservice aside, she was like a female version of Hawkeye right down to the muscular abs. It made me think of the Hawkeye project come to life in manga form.

Well, on the plus-side, she doesn't actually look that good. I mean, every other female in the series has enormous curves, while her ass was just… yeah, weirdly angled, to be generous :D Somehow this chapter didn't have the in-your-face fanservice as much, and I liked that.
Why does archer-lady have two boobs on her pupils?
@Sonic:
Why does archer-lady have two boobs on her pupils?
If she only had one it would seem to Naruto-y. Thus, in his wiseness, he gave her two.

There not boobs they're pupils, if you're a master in archery your eyes grow another pair.
So then you have quadruple pupil aim!

Well, that was unexpected (and it's not Diego)
but I'm glad this arc is finally moving forward.

or…. IS IT!? I think we will have few more chapters with minor development before this arc shifts bigger gear.
of all the other master-class characters who Ryozanpaku could call in to help out, Eclair was pretty much the last of them. But now I want to see that crazy ground-based chinese guy again, Li Tenmon. dude's main stance was flat on his back, what a badass.
Un… Deux.. TROIS!!!
For a moment there I was expecting Bon Clay. And instead of a guy trying to look like a girl, I get a guy actually looking like a girl.
of all the other master-class characters who Ryozanpaku could call in to help out, Eclair was pretty much the last of them.
Going from Saiga's words, I think it's obvious that he was the one who ordered Eclair and Mycroft to protect Miu.
Ugh, I was so depressed with the last chapter. Can you imagine, a battle between Ryōzanpaku and Yami ending with a meeting in a conference room? That's the worst outcome. Thankfully, Shigure's fight is going great.
I don't recognize man next to Eclair.
What a twist!!!
http://readms.com/r/hsdk/542/2099/1
well that was very dissapointing
instead of a heroic sacrifice, we are getting another rescue arc.
I hope her capture isn't as prolonged as Miu's. Hopefully the master fights are coming up relatively soon
Is Shigure really getting captured? Sure it creates some tension, but I'm not sure what we'd get from a "rescue Shigure arc." Who's character gets new development? What's new about this? A reason for the masters to fight? I think we have that already. This chapter really disappoints me. Shigure's "naked mirror/shadow clone" move was also a little lame.
This series nearly jumped the shark with shigure's shadow fighting master opponents. Wtf was that??
Ok surely its gone too far this time
I wonder how the elder is going to turn the tables
