Well I think the series is ruined. This doesn't sound very good. Why the hell would they announce a new game already? Now we're going to have BFs coming out every single year with hardly any updates between them. Oh well.

I don't think we'll see a new battlefield next year and basically what they're saying is that a battlefield 4 is surely gonna be made, which shouldn't be surprising to anyone considering how good bf3 performed for ea.

I haven't watched the trailer, is she in a realistic area or is she just shoved in to appease the people complaining about it?
Also the game doesn't look too much different than BF3. It's still got that stupid dust on screen effect. And I'm not expecting the campaign to be any better than BF3's, or the multiplayer. I think that it is a next gen game so the multiplayer maps might be larger but so many maps in BF3 had all the flags in the center of a massive level with nothing to do outside of them and I don't think that's going to change. I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed BF3 to a certain extent but I don't see myself picking this game up any time soon.

Yeah sorry don't be dumb… As easy as it is being cynical about these multiplayer shooters there is huge demand and within that muddled field of everyone chasing the ideal cashcow that is call of duty I guess battlefield 4 doesn't look that bad.
I bought 3 played it for 10 hours and just decided that I'm not really in to these games anymore, but kudos to those that enjoy them.

meh, looks exactly the same as Bf3. Honestly they could have just sold it as a half price update/expansion pack. Same gun handling, same random deviation, same lack of features, same bad music, same Cod like story/stunts. Wait till multiplayer, better have more tactical gameplay or im not buying.

LOL now that I look at it again, they recycled character models, vehicle models, buildings (which have been recycled since bc2) and the same gimmicky destruction. The only thing different i see is better water….thats literally it, and its not even multi player which will probably have the same physics as the last one. -
graphics look slightly better imo but not enough for it to be BF 4. I would have preferred a BC3 or some spin off before BF4 came out. Besides, BC had a much better single player due to the hilarious combination of characters

I'd rather have Bad Company 3. I had good times with Battlefield 3, but that had more to do with only playing when I had a full squad of brothers/friend to play, which increased the fun level exponentially.

Also forgot to add, since it looks like a slight improvement, the only thing that will entice me is if it's 64 players. I doubt on PS360 it will, but if it's out on PS4, it should be 64 player.

The more I think about it the more I think that BF4 is targeting 60 fps on consoles to compete with Call of Duty. We'll see how it turns out but unless they change it a lot from BF3 I don't see it being very fun to play.

As expected, neither run at 1080p. PS4 runs at 900p and Xbone runs at 720p. Both at 60 fps. It'll probably be like this all gen, with the Xbone having a lower resolution to keep up with the PS4.
Edit: It also says that the PS4 may be lowered to be in line with the Xbone for "system parity".

It's been happening for forever already. Most games were made with the 360 in mind this gen so things were cut in most multiplats to fit on one disc on the 360 even though the PS3 can hold more. Though towards the end people stopped caring. It's been happening with PC for even longer. People don't want to be penalized for their system allegiance. People are buying an Xbone knowing full well that it's inferior but God forbid they actually get inferior games.

Well it is a beta after all. Just hope that doesn't bleed over to the full game last thing EA wants to do is give their consumer base another reason to shit on them and another reason for someone to lose their job.

They didn't fix a lot of stuff from the beta for BF3 either. Hell, BF4 still has the weird character stretching glitch that BF3 had in its alpha and beta.
