Hiroy Descriminates Art once Again ver2

Thanks. It's always interesting to see what other people like the best. I mean, I don't have favorites myself but there's quite a bit of highs and lows to most experiments I do, and I never really know which one to stick with for the sakes of remaining consistent.

Anyhows, here's another piece I've been working on.

It's a background image for my Tumblr. There's some empty spaces, and maybe I'll add some more game items or more characters, but I'm bushed on it.
I got inspired by a color scheme I saw on a pixv artists background, and thought it was in my style to make one myself. It was especially fun learning how he/she used colors.
There may have been some filters or adjusting involved, but I dunno. Because after I was finished, I sort of realized how seamless most of the colors blended and I'm still not even sure why.

Either way, I hope you guys like the design.

ohgod not the Lily Carnation!! :0 I love how cute everything is, but only OP fans who have seen the 6th movie are going to realize how actually creepy that flower is. Can't really pick a favorite, but I love that puppy with Cyclops-esque shades and the laughing robot.

Thanks. I wanted to add some random flower powerup, but I remembered we talking about Lily Carnation in that one group chat and I didn't want to hold back on my promise to draw it… somehow. I dunno. After seeing OPMovie6 agian, I think LC looks cute even in its true form. He was just an adorable parasite that fed off the life and memories of a sad pirate in order to live... Is that so wrong?

I love how you pulled off the colors here, especially how there's actually no blacks in it. I've seen this kind of look before I think and now I'm wondering how you pulled it off? I wouldn't even know where to find out!

I guess it's something you gotta try attempting without knowing how. Like I said, there could have been some filtering involved. Like adjusting the Brightness/Contrasts/Hues using a solid selection of colors. It's quite easy into switch colors that are some levels above black(greys) into other colors.
But I didn't do that. I just flat out used the color wheel while trying to avoid using solid colors. So a kept the colors close to white(top-left) and the lower bottom left of black. As for black itself, I used a really dark red around the grey area, but not dark enough that it overpowers the other colors. I kept the same color for both the areas that needed to be painted in, and the outlines.

Outlines are fairly easy to recolor. Scanned lines I mean. Just follow this little guideline since it's kinda hard to explain without visual guide.

But yeah. Play around with it. There's also nothing wrong with opening someone esle's artwork in PS and looking to see how the colors relate to eachother, then attempt to duplicate it. You aren't going to do it exactly like the artist, but it's fun to come up with your own way.

And yeah. I been waiting a long time to draw Suzy for a while since she's my favorite character. It was surprisingly easy to nail her expressions too, especially since she's a chock full of expression. I don't think I've seen another character this.. eh.. passionate! So yeah.

Also. More content for the sakes of content. Lineart I'd probably never color. I might. But we'll see.

Hmmm. In terms of content… I haven't been doing a whole lot lately. Just writing my comic and practicing art.
I might have some neat stuff to show within the next few weeks though.

As for now, here's this comic that I wrote out recently. It's in a manuscript format, but it was mostly to practice with a short story.

You are right. I've just been playing around with more vibrant colors since they were really washed out before.
I still do like the washed out look, so I been trying to find a right balance between the two.
And oh. I been studying color theory and it's interesting stuff.
