Well done to Wigan, they deserved it. The FA cup has got its magic back.

I watched the final with my brother, and we were cheering each save (for Wigan) as if it were a goal at the other end.
When Wigan finally scored, we both jumped up and screamed in delight.
First ever trophy for the club, too. WHAT a time to win it.
Also, good luck to David Moyes next season.
Fergie will be one of the toughest acts to follow, but i'm sure that he can still do alright for himself.

Was watching this game with a couple of transplanted Man City fans from England and the look on their faces after that header was tremendous.
… And Mancini's sacked too. Malaga's coach Manuel Pellegrini is favourite to succeed him.
So the top three clubs in England change manager in the same Summer. Exciting times ahead!
4th Champions League spot is still up for grabs in the PL. Arsenal leading 3-1 at the moment against Wigan and they could go into the final game of the season with only 1 point separating them from Tottenham in 5th place.
Nah Arsenal has surely grabbed it with this win, If Arsenal can beat Wigan who are fighting to avoid relegation and on an FA cup high they can definitely beat Newcastle who aren't really playing for anything
Winning the FA-Cup and having to go into the relegation..what a week for Wigan^^

But, maybe Wigan get qualified to Europa League because winning the FA Cup?

Excited for Chelsea-Benfica..
Hope Chelsea make history

Yes they do qualify for the Europa League.
Congratulations to Chelsea for their europa league win! Did not see the game but heard it was similar to the Bayern Chelsea CL final
@xan:

Not as lopsided, but yes, Benfica did most of the attacking and the blues lucked out again.
Haha very happy Chelsea win..
Yeah well seems we are lucky again… haha
It seemed like a game of two halves actually.
Chelsea underperformed in the first half, but dug deep for the second half and upped their game.
There was nothing scrappy/flukey about their goals either. Rounding the keeper for the first one and a nice floating header for the second.
Lamps also hit the bar with a cracking shot, along with a few saves they forced the keeper to make.
Benfica on the other hand only scored from a penalty, and aside from a few shots that were saved, they didn't seem all that threatening in the second half.
Manchester City form MLS franchise with New York Yankees
I don't really know what to think of this. On the one hand, it would generate more visibility for the sport in the market in general. But on the other hand, New York already has a big team in the Red Bulls, and one would've liked an MLS franchise in the deep South. City could've tried to resurrect one of the Florida franchises, or go to another city (hint Atlanta hint).
Bring it on CL final! :D
Congratulations Bayern. A really good game.
Fuck this shit…
I'm not happy with this, not at all.
I am so so happy for Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Bayern well deserved anyhow, they took it in the second half. Weidenfeller saved Dortmund's asses.
More than Schweinsteiger, Robben deserves it after last year
You know,I am not much of a football fan and I wasn't even watching the match, just hearing it play out from a TV set in neighbouring room as I was preparing a little for my midterms and…IT WAS STILL FUCKING INTENSE AS BLAZING HELL.
Coldblooded my ass,Kubo,my ass.
Fantastic match! Congrats to Bayern, commiserations to Dortmund and thanks to both teams for serving up such a spectacle.
Dang the robben total was nice .what an error for dortmond
My wait is over.
It only takes 12 years and three finals, that's all.
Thank you Bayern, mia san mia.
Gratz Bayern. Deserved win if I say, and I'm happy for Schweni XD It's feel just like yesterday I watching him cried after he missed his penalty vs Chelsea. What a year for Bayern, they got treble right? Next season Pep gonna have a great challenge ahead him because this achievements, I can see alot people will start compare him with Jupp if hard time come as how Tito this year always got compared with Pep because what he achieved with Barca. Btw, this Subotic moment was epic XD
I hate Bayern. My BvB should have won.
Get Ribery off the ground, he cries too much.
That is all.
What a year for Bayern, they got treble right?
No, next Saturday they have their final vs Stuttgart to win it^^
But yeah, an amazing final.
Iam glad Bayern won, but Dortmund was such a strong team…damn!
Intense game with keepers from another world and yeah it was just great for every fan of this sport.
Hoped for a good final and got an even better one, hehe.
Would have loved to see Müller score the final goal, but Robben finally finally made the goal he needed to get his inner freedom.
Weidenfeller already looked like the matchwinner against Robben, just like Casillas in the WM final, but in the end Robben made it.
@Don:

It's the only reason why I am not raging right now. A Chelsea legend like him should be able to have peace of mind….especially from what happened last year >:D
I probably have more pictures of the Allianz Arena in my room than SW6...but not because I like Bayern
@Don:

Ohhhh, thank you. I thought they got the treble already, so its a double atm and they need to fight for the third XD
Btw, Neymar officially signed for Barca. Finally, after like 3 years and a half of millions rumors everyday linked him to Barca, they make it real. XD
cruz azul!!
Oh wait.

Finally that one was put to bed (that's what she said!).
I'm pretty sure this pushes David Villa toward the exit door. Where to next for the greatest Spanish forward since di Stefano himself? Atletico (especially if they lose Falcao)? Abroad? Arsenal? Inter? PSG? Monaco? Or back to Valencia?
He would have been a really good fit at Tottenham, but they cannot offer him Champions League football.
Mia San Triple.
Danke Jupp Heynckes.
Wherever you'll end up next season, good luck to you.
Incredible performance.
This is probably the most dominant season from any team that I've seen since I started following football. And I've seen three other trebles in that time.
Yep, that was an incredible season for Bayern, now Pep has to show what he´s got
Yeah, a lot of people agrees that Bayern is the most dominant treble winner.
Only three matches lost this season.
Congrats Leverkusen, Arsenal and BATE.
The biggest question (or more like concern for me) is whether Pep will do well next season.
I hope he knows what he's doing.
Uh… Anybody else watching the confederations cup?
Every time I am seeing Brazil play, I keep hoping Barcelona does not end up wasting Neymar's talent.
I am. I think Neymar will give the much needed spark to Barcelona's boring tiki taka, although in my opinion he is more suited for Real Madrid's type of football. I support neither though, I would have liked him to go to England instead.
I'm watching it too. Some cracking games! And not even a single draw till now.
@Aioria:
I would have like him to go to England instead.
I'm all for this only because of the press reaction every time he dives.
Question: how many english players in the La Liga?
This is too good to be true.
You could tell that spain wasnt spain today
But congrats to Brasil.Gugo bonito hopefully
Returns.
German super cup? No one?
Bayern Munich were walking in the park, it seemed.
Hey to all fellow football lovers in the Arlong Park forums, Any Man Utd fans out there? =)
Excited for the new season? I bloody am.
As a Man United fan, I was kinda hoping this thread would quietly die.
What with the Cesc shenanigans and us signing the square root of f**k all in midfield, I'm really scared for the new season.

Here here, No fergie, No top signing, No hope. Something better happen in the signing department SOON.
Lets wait till the window is closed before making any judgements. There is still time to make a few signings.
I think we just need one or two CMs to add to our squad, no need to make huge changes.
If this talk about Mesut Ozil is true then i'd be delighted to have him, he is exactly what United need. Fellaini would be a good bonus, and Ezekiel Garay from Benfica would be a good signing in preparation for Rio leaving next year.
Mesut Ozil is not exactly what we need. We already have Shinji Kagawa, a perfectly good player in that exact same position. If we want a Real midfielder, please let it be Luka Modric.
Getting Modric and Fellaini would comprise an awesome salvage job of our transfer season.
Also, just posting this in honour of the new season. I love it every time I see it.

I keep telling myself that the reason its taking so long to get anybody is that Moyes has something big up his sleeve, Ideally Modric would be perfect but he is only at madrid a year, I can't see him going and Fellaini would be a great squad player, bring something different to the team….the Roy Keanes approach to football almost.
@Diamond:

I used to think that too. I thought, "They'd obviously not be dicking around with Fabregas unless his agent/reps have told United that he wants to leave", and guess what, Fabregas gives a statement that he wants to stay and fight for his place, making Moyes, Woodward and United look like fools. Then there was the stupid excuse of a bid they made for Baines, a 29 year old left back to replace a 31 year old one, one who had just played his best season for United in five years. Then they let Fellaini's buy-out clause expire. Almost the entire summer has gone and we've had no new signings in midfield. We've bought another young untested right back when we have four perfectly good players (Rafael, Fabio, Jones, Smalling) who can play there. Honestly, there's two weeks of the transfer window left. When is the magic going to work? I'd love it if Moyes makes me eat my words, but I'm losing hope.
