I don't know if this was mentioned but does anyone else think that Kyros/Ricky was like Ganfall? like he was the former king of dressrosa before he was kicked out by Doflamingo. A friend of mine also mentioned the possibility that Rebecca may be his daughter or something. Which would explain why they both hate Doflamingo.

I'm telling you guys: The person who gets the Mera Mera no Mi will get it the same way Luffy got his, but at the end of the series, in an epilogue scene, instead of at the beginning of the series in a flashback. A "passing of the generation" symbolism, so to speak.
It will be some kid that looks up to Luffy and/or the Strawhat Crew, and loves hearing about their journeys etc. Similar to kid Luffy listening to Shanks and his crew about their adventures.

Definitely. This arc seems to be heading in the right direction but a move like this happening could ruin the entire arc for me… There also a few that suggested Barto works for Buggy, another way to make Buggy finally unbearable with his luck and ruin one of the best characters post timeskip all in one move. :ninja:

It will probably be Kaido, truth be told. I can't see it being Blackbeard, because Burgess is there already. I think all these more…important people we're meeting this arc work under a Yonko. People like Bartolomeo, Chinjao + Sai + Boo, Blue Gilly, and even Cavendish. (It could also be the mysterious "Jack", however--the guy who was mentioned to be a powerful underworld broker during the Punk Hazard arc).
Someone brought up a good point yesterday, stating that the "Worst Generation" of Supernovas, the generation of Luffy, Kidd, and Law, are trying to oppose the Yonko. Whereas the new generation, the new Supernovas, people like Bartolomeo, Cavendish, and Caribou, are working under the Yonko.
That logic makes a lot of sense to me, but I suppose we just have to wait and see what Oda tosses our way.

I actually really like the theory that Bart is working for Buggy.
Maybe this will allow us to learn about "The Pirate Dispatch Society" that Buggy runs now.
Buggy sits back, lives off his love from the Impel Downers and gets them to deal with other pirates like Bart, sending them out on missions to make money.
It would be classic behaviour from the "Thousand Piece Clown".

I see people suggesting that Bartolomeo will use the Mera Mera to barter his way into the SH crew - perhaps he'll barter it for something else? Maybe he wants to be a Shichibukai. I bet the WG would handsomely reward anyone who turned over such a powerful weapon, thus keeping it out of Luffy's hands.

Maybe, maybe not. The shichibukai kind of have a history of insubordination, so I don't think that would necessarily rule it out. I mainly see Barto as a self-serving character up to this point, and manipulating the WG / Marines ala Blackbeard doesn't seem too far-fetched.

! What…? It's not speculation, it was confirmed in the movie. The guy who cut off Z's arm and slaughtered his crew joined the Shichibukai during the 2-year timeskip, and it was the final straw for Z--making him leave the World Government, and forming the Neo Navy.
! It's almost, if not, 100% certain that person is the last, unnamed Shichibukai. -

Did you even think? Attire is no Argument AT ALL, besides that they look alike! There is NO ARGUMENT AGAINST IT, there are only Arguments for "he might be that person". Hat, which is the same, white clothes, slim and small, scarf and a obscured face.
Think ahead, there are 2 years between that two Pages. He could be degraded or promoted since then. There are more possebilities, but its enough. It don't has to be him, but so far, there is NO argument against it. -

Can't see how turning it in to Buggy would do much for the story, but hey, Oda works in mysterious ways.

I don't remember if it was clearly stated that he changed divisions entirely when he became a Marine. He does still roll around with Pacifistas though, so he probably does have some contact with Vegapunk.

I actually really like the theory that Bart is working for Buggy.
Maybe this will allow us to learn about "The Pirate Dispatch Society" that Buggy runs now.
Buggy sits back, lives off his love from the Impel Downers and gets them to deal with other pirates like Bart, sending them out on missions to make money.

I know it's supposed to be funny and it was when idiots were following who weren't particularly strong in the beginning of the series, but all the ID prisoners following him and esp someone who can beat a Vice Admiral (albeit a weak one) without taking an injury followed him as well, it was just a masterstroke of bad writting. There is a case of where Oda can take the running gags to the point where it hurts the story and they become annoying (ie. Sanji asking Nami if she's ok when Zoro and Luffy come back nearly dead after taking a beating from Bellamy, or Usopp being scared of rocks falling at PH when Zoro, Luffy, Smoker, Sanji and Law are right next to him). This for me would be one of them, though I notice Buggy is a favorite here while for me has been progressively starting to become one of the worst characters in the series, when in the beginning he was a pretty fun and interesting character.

Blue Gilly. Surprised about the pretty great ammount of screen time he got. Also, he knocked down Ricky and Dagama, and was willing to snap the King's neck, in a damn awesome panel, I might add. Love the dynamic feeing in there, good movement flow. Almost there, Gilly. Almost there.

Bellamy being cheered on by Luffy was pretty sweet, and he seemed to at least figure a comeback against Barto. Which brings me to. . .
++. . .Oda giving almost everyone face. Bellamy lost, but he didn't look like thrash. Dagama got his ass handed to him, but he built enough time. Elizabello lost in the end, but his punch knocked the fuck out of proven strong guys like Blue and Bellamy. Ricky lost easily, but he was given quite some insight.

Not a fan of the cover story's pace. I feel like we could've cut short some good 5-6 chapters. The multiple color spread didn't help in that department.

Not seeing the fight between Barto and Bellamy, or Blue vs Ricky. That's where the last 15 page chapters could've expanded with some 2 extra pages per chapter. And I would've loved Oda for it, but well, alas. . .
Overall, very good "warm up" for what's to come, abd Block B gets a B+ rating from me (17 page chapters would've elevate that to an A-, probably). 4 chapter for block B is way way way waaaaaaay beyond my initial expectations, in a very good sense. I'm ready for this arc being as long as it needs to be.
Also, seeing how with very little panel time, Oda gave characters like Hack, Dagama, Blue Gilly or Elizabello some personality and motive beyond a random cool design, I really wonder what Oda will do with the likes of Kelly bros, Hajrudin, Orlumbus or my man Suleiman. Can't freaking wait!

yes i do, I feel like tamago will be beast as fuck, for 1, he seemed a little above pekoms, thats just how it felt for me, just how he interacted with him and stuff, and for 2, his design is just so badass lol, even tho hes dressed in pink, i think he looks rly badass lol, halfboiled rookies lol

I might have phrased it the wrong way. I think it is not a coincidence to have Don in Block C. Though this is only weak speculation but Doffy has this manipulator theme about him. Why would he let the tournament run by itself?

It's not about the arc, it's that this whole gag of Buggy getting bigger and bigger is starting to turn silly/annoying where the joke has run out. I also found the King (forget his name) in DBZ where he was the one who defeated Cell, it turned into every panel with him was irritating and I couldn't wait until he was out of the picture. :\

They are idiots but when Mihawk was talking to Zoro, it wasn't about stupidity, it was about knowing the difference between them. Obviously Zoro wasn't strong enough to be able to tell in such situations. To me the ID idiots is a passable excuse but someone like Bartotroll who seems quite strong and not an idiot following Buggy? I am dreading the idea of it happening. If I were to guess who he meant however which will mean whatever I pick, it won't happen :S.. I'd say Kid as a likely scenario, "Jack", or maybe Revolutionaries.. yeah I can't believe I am thinking about him but it could be possible.

I don't want it to happen, but it certainly can. If Coby is part of the 3 ships, and Luffy asks his crew mates to eat it but no one wants to and Coby is there, it isn't stupid at all in a scenario where he asks Coby for it and he eats it. You should be a bit more lenient on others with ideas, especially when you spent weeks calling people idiots for the Admirals issue, and we know how that turned out.
