By the way, I did a little research :
- There are currently 21 unpublished chapters
- One Medaka Box volume usually contains 9 chapters
So if the manga ends after this arc, we can expect at least 6 more chapters (maybe 1 or 2 more).

just marathoned this, it has it's good points. Certainly reminds me of code breaker and all, but I like this more, code breaker gets way confusing.
It's way over the top, but this manga is still enjoyable. Kind of lost the whole sense of school though, but I'm sure they'll just pick it back up no problem once this arc's over.
Wonder how many chapters it'll be till medaka comes back.
Will Zenkichi finally get serious? I some how doubt it. I have this huge feeling their gonna pull a duce ex machina on us.

This will add a layer of tragedy since her and Zenkichi's relationship/marriage seems to be on borrowed time now, but it's as Medaka said, she's doing this for her own sake, not Shiranui's

If it is just artificially pumping, then she should be able to heal, but then again, those are FRESH wounds.

I'm not lying when I say that I had to stop reading for a few seconds to actually think about the air wall explanation and how exactly Medaka's Kurokami Final works. Well, it's Medaka Box after all so something like that is hardly surprising.
After that I continued this very special- no, very fresh chapter and heaved a sigh of relief only to get mindfucked in the last panel. Wow… next week's chapter can't come fast enough. -

Eh. I certainly came to expect at least this level of writing from NisioisiN when it counts. I won't say I could see it coming, but it won't have a place among the most memorable moments this manga has had so far.
Oh, and what an opportunity for desecrating the remains of the fourth wall wasted: Medaka breaks the sound barrier, the narrator explains it in detail, everyone comments on it in real time - and yet no one jokes how impossible it is to do simultaneously. Not even Nienami!

^makes it even better that Zenkichi is the one given the style. What makes the battle even harder is his limited time until he dies again. In other words a victory would save Shiranui- which was their unified goal from the start- but everyone else would die (except for Nienami it seems which makes for some good speculations regarding her true identity and motives).

It's getting pretty epic, it surely will be if it isn't already the best ending of a Medaka Box arc.
And yes, I completely agree with you, there's more in Nienami than what the eye can see.

It wasn't about strenght, it was about the level of the challenge.
There's no way that someone is more overpowered than Ihiko, the challenge needed to be more emotional, more final, more roundabout. It is now.
