He decided to go with making a Zoro MSP instead. At first I thought that the competition winning one was supposed to be a MSP too. That was kinda why I was happy that Wiper won.

I wonder if he had any choice in who was to be the MSP or if he was just told 'yeah, these are the marketable characters. pick one.'

Something I just wanna point out with Wiper however. Everyone is commenting on the neck. Look at the new MSP Zoro. Maybe the guy just can't do necks? Because he looks like he's a Quasimodo wannabe

I think think shoulda made his neck and head in 1 sculpt, like they always do, dunno why they decided to make it like that, like they made all in parts to assemble, its not like that it came with different optional heads like GLM franky :-/

And I wanted to get franky too, but i already have FAZ franky and he takes up enough room as it is haha. Whats cool is that i got her from a local place (within the US), which is rare since didnt banpresto ban overseas distribution of prize figures or something a while back?

Oh yes, FAZ franky is sweet too, I think I like the GLM version just a bit more, but that is one of the few FAZ I would actually bother to acquire
Yeah I remember that, but I actually forgot it. I've actually had no problems getting Banpresto stuff with the likes of Mandarake & HLJ etc around

The only Banpresto products I have trouble getting is the keyrings. Attack, Chibi, whatever. They seem to be quite difficult to get :( WCF can be annoying too if you just want singles. Especially when they make the good ones rare :(

Yeah you're right, sometimes you have to go to obscure places to get certain items, Chibu Kyun chara or WCF
If I absolutely can't find anything I sometimes commission them. Cough the wonderful Elisabethheart, cough

To the contrary, I had them listed for about three weeks. First at what I paid for them, then in YEN and lastly yesterday with discounted prices.

Also, I wouldn't call them particulary cheap. You can get a lot of those cheaper on mandarake.
I know someone selling his whole WCF collection, that includes all WCF up to set 21. He doesn't really trade, though. Will give you his email, if you are interested.

Actually, I based my prices off mandarake. Also count shipping EMS for most, and you still get mine cheaper. I mean my Vista for example… buying it on mandarake is much more than from me. maybe 2-5 of my POP can be found at mandarake for about same price or a bit cheaper before counting in shipping. There is no point for your friend email, unless he is willing to trade. hahaa. I am out of cash for new stuff until I sell these. thank you tho.

I don't understand why you were so desperate to buy POPs, and to still get POPs cheap on preorder, but are selling the ones you just procured recently? I guess it's not really my business, but curiosity I suppose.

I would really suggest eBay, people tend to pay more as they don't have as many options to buy them.

Three main reasons actually. Missed all new pre orders, too expensive overseas shipping and need of cash. Another so-so reason is the great availablity lately of POP which to me lowers their collectible value. I know one should collect for the love of it, but for that, I can buy WCF or other cheap figures of my fave char, instead of expensive POP

Also, if you missed POP preorders wouldn't you be glad because you aren't obligated to purchase them? Since you're not collecting them anymore? XD

I know. I have sold here before actually. and I had good experiences with the buyers here, so that is why I rather sell here than ebay. Also, on ebay, I would have to mark up prices because of their fees :(

I'm actually glad I got rid of my POPs about a year ago. I had about 90 in total and sold them off to various people on AP. I don't miss them in the least. They looked great, but they were taking up a lot of space and I was about to move cross country. I think POP collecting in general is great if you have the money and space, but for completionists like me, it became too expensive and space-consuming (though I do miss camping out for pre-orders). I stuck with collecting WCFs since I can usually get an entire set for less than the cost of one new POP AND they're smaller and more diverse. Good luck with the sales and WCF hunting Lexiy! I own them all and they're worth every penny I paid.

The reason is that POPs don't sell very well anymore on the second-hand market. I've been trying to get rid of my POPs for like .. half a year and I still have many left. ^^ If you really wanna sell them, you gotta list them for ridiculously low prices and some of those may still not sell. I decided to just keep them until they're sold and not make hasty decisions. I at least wanna get the money back that I paid for them, if that's not possible right now, I'm gonna keep them. Investing in POPs right now is such a bad idea coz Megahouse just has to troll everyone with rereleases and stuff. That's another reason why I stopped buying POPs. They are goddamn expensive and IF I pay that amount of money for a Megahouse figure just coz it's One Piece, well then I at least wanna be sure that if I should ever sell them .. I'll get the money back I paid. I can say that for every single one of my figures except for the One Piece ones … sadly.

Guys, you have to consider one thing: Lexiy, for example, you can get Akainu, Aokiji and Kizaru MISB on mandarake for the equal amount of money on mandarake. Why would anyone chose to buy an (I'm just making an assumption here) opened and already displayed figure instead of the misb one?

So, of course you aren't getting rid of your POPs. Your prices don't match the second hand market value. Easy as that, and trolled by Megahouse. Say hello to my Arlong POP, which I had to pay 10k yen for and is now worth 3k yen.

Perona this month, Shiliew late Feb, Hancock late March, BB 1.5 & Z Chopper late April, Law late May, Sadi, probably early June and Franky early July

Edit: and oh, forgot Re-re-release Shirahoshi with Hancock in March and Nami with Law in May (like anyone cares, lol)

10 POP releases already scheduled for 2013 and it's only Jan, lol, and we've still got Shanks, Kalifa, Roger, WB Ver.0, SW Shiki, Z Robin & Z Sanji to go!! 2013 is a busy year for MH!!

Haha, they're the 3 I really want! and Franky of course, but simply to complete my collection. If I didn't get him it'd feel like owning a jigsaw with a piece missing. Even if the piece is expensive. lol

I'm leaving those I think will be cheaper or same price for 2014. Namely Shiliew, Shanks, Roger, WB 0. Not interested in movie characters, so that leaves me with Sadi & Kalifa, both of which I expect to be popular and increase in value come next year, so I may order Sadi now, but we'll see.

Proxykon (link): ¥8190+¥700 proxy fee+domestic shipping (usually around ¥300-400)+international shipping ->¥9190-9290+shipping

There's not much difference but it's something. Plus personally I'd go with Hiromi (proxykon) just to piss BIJ off lol. Now only 1Up's version is left since he mentioned maybe being able to get her in stock.

I got your answer for that. Aokiji I am offering it with the limited edition coat which in itself is a different item for collectors, so you are getting the original release and the exclusive release of the complementary accessories. Also, yea, you can get them for same price maybe Misb @ Mandarake BUT I am offering free shipping in the US. While you can get them for same price on mandarake, you got to pay depending on location $25-$35 in shipping alone.

Are you still offering free domestic shipping for certain quantities of orders? Looking at the MH page I'm estimating that as an extra 630 yen, which 1Up has already confirmed he won't be charging.

Also, I don't know how international shipping prices from Japan Post compare to Hong Kong Post. I guess they are quite similar, but it would intereting to know for sure?

If you were and it was just 8190 + 700 commision + international shipping then that's competitive.

Only draw back is that like BiJ you need full payment in advance, whereas 1Up only needs $40.
