Today was the best day in a very, very long time. I actually went on my very first date today. Like, ever. So yeah, I was nervous.
Nothing special happened really, we just went to McDonalds (his idea), and we ended up just sitting there for four hours just talking about stuff. So yeah, I'd say it was a success.

I kinda feel like the thread wouldn't grow beyond ~5 users posting, so I'm not sure lol. Your call.
Sports fanaticism is one huge circlejerk anyway. Just peer into the NFL & NBA threads. Not that many guys posting there proper either, but it's still active and fun.
I kinda want to wait for the next actual season, though. This stub of a year will probably play out in a pretty weird way that doesn't necessarily warrant all that much spirited discussion other than where Luongo will eventually land.

Tomorrow is the first Monday of 2013. So it's time to stop celebrating and become a diligent and hard-working human being.

I didn't realize the lockout is over though. Good for the fans.
It's just that on AP Forums there's just not that many sports fans in general. Not terribly surprising. I'm most active in the NBA when I vent about my awful Lakers or something but still. It's less active than the NFL thread. What surprises me is a lack of an NCAA thread. A lot of people prefer college to pro.

I was ringing up this woman's order when I accidentally rung up a few packs of soda that belonged to the customer behind her. I went to take the sodas off when the guy said that he would pay for the entire order, her stuff and his sodas included. The woman refused at first, but the guy wouldn't take no for an answer and continued to pay for her. Mind you her order without the sodas was almost $50 to be gin with…

My mom comes back from Mexico tomorrow after leaving us all alone for an entire Winter break. We'll go and pick her up at the airport at noon, which means that I won't be going to school. It's fine by me because I wasn't able to attain a copy of the take home test we were supposed to do over vacation for AP American History that was mysteriously stolen from my backpack.

She mentioned how some people pointed at her and acted all flustered when she read it in public. We started talking about how those books are way too tame, how nothing really disturbing happens. And I pointed towards my self-printed books. And we talked.… never again.
There are some things you just don't talk about with your mother. I think I pretty much covered all of them just now. -

There are some things you just don't talk about with your mother. Or heck just trying to find someone willing or drunk enough to throw on some nipple clamps lol.
Yes it's kind of tame or at least nothing new in this day and age, but it's still pretty hardcore however you look at it, more so when considering incorporating it into your own sexlife.

I feel strangely proud and happy nowadays. The problems didn't go away, but I started to appreciate and not blame myself for everything bad that happens. When I'm at school and I feel like an outsider I think "I'm different, but I like it. I don't wan to be the same as that. I like being the way I am."
I'm afraid I'll eventually shift back into utter loneliness with the feeling that I don't belong.

Make sure you don't seem too desperate! Sound like you already texted her.. but usually you wanna wait a day or two after getting a girls number after meeting her to make contact, unless there was a specific reason you agreed to contact each other sooner.
