I don't get all the hate for the FI arc.
No One Piece for me for 3 years

pfftt….If I had a Tardis/DeLorean with a flux capacitor one of the first things I would do is go 25 years into the future (just to be safe), buy all the One Piece volumes I don't already own and have a monster reading session.
Yeah, screw things like preventing the Nazis coming to power or curing aids, this is the real important stuff right there :ninja:

I think the OP needs to just keep away from the forums. It's probably not doing his anxiety treatment any favors. Though I'm sure it's going hand-in-hand with "dropping" the series.
Fishman Island had no adventure. That's why it can't even stand next to skypia.
I disagree in part with that. The perilous journey to FI and their trip to the Ryuugu Kingdom/castle, which few (if any) humans had ever visited, would certainly be considered "adventurous." As well as the Fisher Tiger flashback.
However, that does bring up an interesting point in that FI was one of the few islands they visited where there was hardly any exploring. The only other instance is Robin and Franky going off on her own offscreen to search for different things. Otherwise, it was mostly the Strawhats listening to exposition and fighting with too little in-between.
Personally, I can't dislike an arc that introduced Vander Decken and provided included both Pappag and Caribou.

@Mikey:
As for the anime, I can't even watch it anymore.
I had the same uneasiness about Fishman Island that a lot of other people had while it was being published. I actually think the anime adaptation one-ups the manga in a lot of ways. It seems (to me) like they've been able to flesh it out a bit and not make it feel so crammed together or rushed-through.

Manga >>>>>>> anime. Not even a debate. N offense dude but the anime can't even touch the level of quality the manga has

Seriously? The content certainly isn't crammed or rushed-through, but the episodes drag. I'm seriously sick of seeing elongated still shots of boobs and the crowds reacting to every little thing while a single episode moves at the pace of one chapter or less.
Not to mention the art in the anime is just horrendous while the animation is choppy and quite lazily done.
