Solid game so far. Portugal is playing defensive; as expected. But damn! That last shot from Pepe sure was close. If Portugal keeps that pace they might as well have a good chance of winning that match.

I apologize in all honesty for these stupid german fans in the stadium. Their behavior is unbelievable embarassing for me and lots of other "normal" german fans. I am really sorry.
Also, Germany seems to be far away from being in best form. I really hope they can power up somehow in the second half.

I think it's not German that is not in best form. Every team looks bad when the oponnents are playing defensive (and well). Well, Portugal vs Holland will be the most exciting game in this group, I'm sure of that.
And I'm sure that if Portugal doesn't go back to defending high, we're screwed.Oh, and no need to apolagize Nami. Everyone knows that those are an exception.

Yeah, the truth is Poland changed a lot since I've last watched some of their games. I almost don't recognize any of the new players, so I sat down to watch Poland and Greece yesterday and see my country lose (as they do 89% of the time in big games). I was shocked how well they played the first half. Maybe there's something in them and we have what it takes?
After the whole Smolensk and our president dying in a plane crash in Russia people in Poland have huge hopes for the Poland and Russia match. :) -

Germany can consider itself lucky that Portugal wasn't able to use all the chances they had. But the same can be said about the Netherlands, looking at the games today.
Let's see what tomorrow brings. We sure got some nice pairings scheduled for the third day of the EURO '012. -

I can't help but wonder if things would be different if both teams played offensively since the start.
I'm sure it wouldn't be 0-0 for too long… Still, sucks that Gomez got that one in... And I actually got the vibe that the Neatherlands are fucked. I can't see this Portugal and this germany loosing against anyone else from this group. Two really solid teams, both defending and attacking. If only Raul Meireles and João Moutinho were more inspired the result could be different. Still great game from germany, keep it up. Next round is decisive. -
I hate, that majority of Polish thinks Polish representation is going too lose. I think we had better chances if we honestly cheered our team. I sure hope they beat Russians, even if I won't be there to watch it.
Besides if my city has to be flocked because of Euro, at least our representation should make up for it and beat it at least to quarterfinals. -

It's almost mind-boggling how so many of these top class players are wasting the amazing opportunities they get. Not just on these two teams, I'm talking about all the matches we've seen so far (barring Russia's performance). Scoring is difficult, yeah, but these are the guys who score a lot of goals during the regular season so they really should be able to deliver. I get that the intensity and self-confidence levels of the players, especially those of the stars, are not as high this early on in the tournament, but it shouldn't render them incapable of scoring goals. If it was just this current cup, I wouldn't be too concerned, but this exact same phenomenon has been repeating itself in the last few Euro and World cups too. Is there something wrong or is everyone just so good that mistakes leading to goals just don't occur anymore?
That said, I've been enjoying this match way more than any of the others I've seen. Both teams are playing really skillfully, making it a treat to watch. I just hope either side starts scoring early into the second half. Another 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1 end result and I'm going to tear up.

I'm not impressed by either team right now. Italy seems more focused on making a scene, as they could've scored on some opportunities they let die out to try and argue a foul. And Spain needs to figure out how to keep possession and attack.
