Dammit Westbrook you waited too long.
NBA Season 2011-2012
-
-
What a dumbass Westbrook should have passed it to Durant. H e was wide for that 3.
Despite that it looks like the Thunder are slowly starting to wake up.
-
Boom. Durant doing his thing.
-
Miami and their fucking 3s.
The Thunder were off to a good start…
-
Temper, durantula.
This is not Perkins night, 5 fouls.
-
This game is over.
The powers that be just don't want the Thunder to win.
I don't have any other explanation.
They're doing everything right, all their shots are just going in then out.
-
Derek has some balls.
How the fuck was that a foul?!
-
Harden. Pass. The. Ball. To. Durant.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Game over peeps.
This is looking like last year's close out game.
-
This game's over guys why bother even watching it.
-
This is getting ugly now. Real ugly.
-
One of the ugliest game of basketball I've ever seen.
Mavs - Lakers Game 4 of last year is still worse at this point, but this is getting close.
This has been the most disappointing finals in a long time.
-
Lol flagrant on Fisher?
lol stern. Lebron is protected big time
-
Looks like Westbrook is trying to go into superman mode again.
Too little too late.
Spoelstra might as well put Juwan on the court at this point.
-
fuck juwan .
fuck miami.
-
As much as I was against Miami winning this, I have to say they showed up tonight and have played one of the best games of basketball I've seen. They've been absolutely dominant on both sides of the ball.
You can tell they wanted this win.
Congrats to Lebron for getting his first ring.
He's definitely a lot more humble now after last season. Hopefully he doesn't turn into a huge prick again.
If he starts calling himself the King again, however, there's going to be a problem.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also, Miller fucking showed up tonight. 7 3s.
And the Heat have broken the record for most 3s in a finals game.
Ridiculous.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
The Thunder have disgusted me.
There's not a single started on the court? Way to fucking quite.
True champs stay in till the buzzer hits 0, no matter what.
-
Well, that's all she wrote folks.
Congrats to LeBron James for getting that huge monkey off his back and finally earning his first ring. You deserve it.
Hold your heads up OKC, you'll get another shot.
I feel sorry for Cavs fans though, this must be another knife to the gut for them.
They're most likely celebrating in Seattle too lol.
-
They're so happy!
It makes it hard for me not to be happy too.
The Thunder need to hold their heads up high. I'd be willing to put money on them being back here next year. I'm even willing to put money on them winning it next year.
Seriously, Miami played on of the best games I've ever seen tonight.
You could tell how much they wanted. Everyone on their team showed up tonight.
It was really fun to watch.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Lol, this is telling. Lebron was on the floor talking to all of the Thunder players and Wade was already up on the podium.
Apparently Lebron has more class than Wade.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
And it's started. NBA.com's main article has a picture of Lebron titled "the New King"
-
Apparently? It's been obvious from the start that Wade's a fucking asshole. At least Lebron tries not to be one.
-
It was fun while it lasted.
-
Now idiots on ESPN saying Lebron's on MJ's level now and is a top 10 player.
Takes Lebron 1 ring, will take Kobe 7 rings. :/
-
Was rooting against the Heat also but they came in and did work. OKC lost their pose and couldn't keep up plain and simple. Chris Bosh thank you for making me laugh for ten minutes straight with this made my night.
-
A Brazzers-logo shopped version is already out there.
-
Not as up in arms about it as I thought I would be. I wanted OKC to win, but LeBron has put together a stretch of really great basketball against a lot of hate, so he deserves this. Honestly, as amusing as it would be to rip on him for eternity after the way he acted during The Decision, it would be pretty sad if someone with his talent never put it together for a championship run. Not a fan of his previous off-the-court antics, but he at least seems more mature now. Maybe it was a trial by fire.
Just so happy the Mavs took the Heat down before they could get one, though.
-
oh man where did you get all these pictures? ^^
I feel sorry for you guys and of course Oklahoma for loosing that way in this series..but I'm just so effin happy right now, I can't put it in words
well said Steven…well said
you can hate him all you want, but you have to give him some credit for the way he plays, especially in this years Playoffs! -
Now idiots on ESPN saying Lebron's on MJ's level now and is a top 10 player.
Takes Lebron 1 ring, will take Kobe 7 rings. :/
MJ never had to team up with a rival to get a ring.
Lebron teaming up with Wade to get a ring is the equivalent of Batman teaming up with the Joker to take down Bane.
It shouldn't happen.Lebron is not even close to being on MJ's level. It's ludicrous to even talk about.
He's not even on Kobe's level yet.
-
ok..but what I hate about the "MJ never had to team up with anyone" fact is that
the Greatest of All Time never had to team up with anyone because they already got the best players on their side..Magic with Kareem / Worthy etc.
Bird with Ainge / McHale etc.
Jordan with Pippen / Rodman / Kukoc etc.so what are the Cavaliers compared to them? James' brought them from nothing to everything! The Bulls at least made it to the Playoffs after Jordan was gone (94)
but your right - it's a damn shame that they already want to compare him with Jordan/Kobe and so on..fuckind ridiculous (excuse my language)
-
Okay now. Pippen was good, but Jordan made him great.
Jordan raised the caliber of everyone he played with. Lebron sought out those with high caliber. He could have gone anywhere. Any team would have made him an offer. But instead he figured the easiest way to a ring was to from a "Dream Team."
And then they failed. They got a wake up call, got their shit together, and emerged as a humble team this season.
Lebron did everything he could with the Cavs, but it was only ever the Lebron show. His teammates were comfortable with just sitting ack and letting him do all the work, and he was okay with that too.
Jordan would have made them work. He still would have done msot of the heavy lifting, but he would have made them competent.
With Jordan, they wouldn't have gotten swept in the finals. -
To be honest, Cleveland never gave LeBron the important pieces the team needed to make a championship run.
I still think LeBron dragging that terrible Cavs team all the way to the finals in 2007 to be more impressive than him winning his first ring.
Also, Mark Cuban totally took Skip Bayless to the woodshed.
-

Nah, Lakers/Celtics Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals was WAY WAY worse.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Tremendous
-
I have a feeling that I'm going to become a Bayless fan over the course of the next few months. Especially with so many people referring to Lebron as "The King" again.
See, "That's So Disrespectful" to the true King.
-
Isn't this "Lebron is the king" shit the reason why he became a dick in the first place? The only reason he's improved is that he got humbled by Dallas.
-

After Mark Cuban absolutely destroyed him on First Take, Skip ain't gonna be the same until Tim Tebow actually takes Mark Sanchez' job.
-
-
That's the most amazing thing of all time.
Whoever thought of that is a genius.
-
I think I'm looking forward to watching T-Rob the most. He seems like a great and humble guy, given all the depressing and awful shit he went through, and looks like a promising young player. Hornets have a chance to really do things. They drafted both Davis and Rivers. My Lakers got some low-ass pick called Darius Johnson Odom. Irony @ the last name. Speaking of which, I think Lamar might come back to Clippers. I heard Mo Williams will be traded to Utah along a 3-team trade in which Mavericks send Odom to LAC. Something like that. Also there are strong possibilities of Nash going to Raptors and D-Will to Mavs.
-
Darius Johnson-Odom might be one of the steals of this draft, IMO.
I watch a ton of college basketball, and he was an absolute beast at Marquette.
I liked what the Cavs did in the draft, in a continued rebuild. Waiters, though a sixth man at Cuse, played starters minutes and has been compared to Wade by many. Zeller gives us an athletic center who will learn the pro game from Big Z. Still a couple years off from being back to contention, but the talented corps that was never there around Lebron is starting to be built correctly.
-
I do have to say though probably the biggest steal of the draft was OKC getting Perry Jones III after he was expected to be top five last year and top ten this year. People saying the supposed knee problems that came up literally a couple of days before the draft would hurt him but I think he came out the winner this draft next to the Hornets getting Davis and Rivers
-
I hope Darius does end up being a steal. Looks promising. If nothing too much I expect him to be on Shannon Brown level at least.
-
I was surprised that Minnesota used their only pick to draft Robbie Hummel. The guy's smart and can shoot from anywhere and block people taller than him, but all of those injuries…
It would be cool if he and Rubio stayed healthy, see what those two and Kevin Love could do together.
-
Minnesota has a lot of white guys on their roster lol
Too many trade rumors.. And Dwight Howard is bitching again.. This man is bent on becoming the most hated man in the NBA. Even worse than LBJ. smh this whiny little bitch needs to just grow up make a decision and stick with it.
Rumors of JET going to Boston or Lakers. Also interests in Jamal Crawford by both of those teams.| Sam Amico: As for Lakers, Ramon Sessions, Kirk Hinrich, Jameer Nelson all said to be on radar. Potentially Jason Terry, too. |
| _Sam Amico: Raptors SF Sonny Weems said to be drawing interest from Cavs. Weems a restricted free agent.
The Boston Celtics are looking for a SG. They have expressed interest in Jamal Crawford, O.J. Mayo, Jason Terry, Nick Young and Sonny Weems._ |
Johnny Flynn interested in Lakers
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
come on mitch dont let me down you bastard
-
Chris Broussard has said that Dwight Howard has DEMANDED that he get traded to the NEts and has hired a lawyer and asked the players association for help to break the deal he signed to stay for his final year in Orlando. Howard said Otis Smith and other people in the Magic's front office blackmailed him with sending him to the Lakers (or some other team but I heard the Lakers) if he didn't sign to stay for the final year of his current contract.
If this is real and Howard said this before the draft, I would have traded him to the Rockets for all their first round picks and either Lowry or Martin (they were trying to do this before the Magic said no or asked for more) just to spite Howard. Fucking asshole.
-
I was a bit surpised by the Bulls drafting Marquis Teague. I assumed they would draft a shooting guard, not another quick point guard like Teague. But it's still a good draft pick. With Rose recovering from knee surgery, JL3 being a free agent, and C.J. Watson's uncetain contract status, we might get to see Teague early on next season. There's also a good chance that Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer won't return.
If the Bulls do sign a veteran guard I hope it's not Brandon Roy. He's had a ton of knee injuries.
Also, I've read that Rose's rehab is going very well, he should be back around the All-Star break next season.
-
Dang, the Mavs just lost Terry to the Celtics. It would appear that their window is closed. 10-11 was without a doubt their season, but they've now lost a lot of the people on that team that made it happen.
-
NO. Wanted Lakers to get Terry :(
Come on LA do SOME CHANGES. KUPCHAK COME ON DONT LET ME DOWN
-
Nets are going to be fun to watch.
-
And another year for Dirk wasted.
-
The Magic would be morons to trade Howard to Brooklyn. The Nets have no ammo to make this trade, and if Orlando takes the bait instead of trading him to LA for Bynum+others, they're just idiots.
And Dwight, good luck signing in Brooklyn if you don't get traded there. Their cap space might as well be negative after resigning Williams and taking on that ridiculous Joe Johnson contract.
-
Lakers just signed Steve Nash. Interesting….
-
All we need now is Dwight. Damn.
