It was a great chapter.
;__; @ Sakura
<3 @ Yamato finally using the jutsu
Next chapter should be great - I wonder what Root wants with Oro?
I have to say, a lot of these fights, with a lack of purpose, are easily forgotten. I was explaining what's been going on lately with the Orochimaru fight to someone today between classes and all of a sudden I just remembered that Gai fought Kisame not too long ago. I loved the fight when it was happening, because, come on, Kisame's a cool guy. Same with Gai. But when I think back in it I don't even remember what the point was asides from Kisame was in their way so fists must be thrown. It just kind of.. slipped away from my memory.
I still like Naruto, but it's really being overshadowed by some other series for me lately. Don't follow it quite like I used to.
Luckily he's aligned with a Hidden Sound Village, where's he's likely to turn into Rurouni Kenshin's Usui and develop super-duper hearing.
Eh? He didn't get blinded, he got binded (which should really be "bound")
Oh God, with the translation it seems even worse. That "promise" line getting repeated over and over -_- And sometimes I have trouble discerning what's going on with the jutsus. Like what Oro did (puke another body)? Dunno where Naruto woulda made it without the Anime.

I read the translation and realized that was wrong. Whoopsie!
…
Yeah, this is kinda another dud chapter. Sakura getting swelled with pathos just shows that she hasn't developed as a character much at all over the timeskip; berserker Naruto just degraded. Yamato's cool, Sai's easier to see through than a glass panel, and Orochi is finally feeling his age. Bleagh! What a worthless fight.
Goddamn what a shitty series this has become
Goddamn what a wonderful series this still is
Despite how blah this chapter is you do have to feel bad for Sakura. I mean, her loved ones keep disappearing on her. But sheesh, stop gabbing about the "promise"!
Sai, well, I wasn't sure WHAT he would do at first, but we all knew it would be something along this measure. Who wants to bet that Danzo wants Orochimaru to be the new Hokage and/or crush the village together?
Yamato is the only thing keeping this part cool. Cause Yamato is COOL!
Now bring back the rest of the fantastic side-cast and I'll bitch less.
Sakura getting swelled with pathos just shows that she hasn't developed as a character much at all over the timeskip;
! Huh? That had NOTHING to do wtih her feelings for Sasuke, if that's what you are saying. She only said that in an attempt to calm Naruto down; the same thing she did with Sasuke in the forrest of death when he first used the curse seal. She had to mention something like that. Saying "Just forget about Sasuke and move on" would have more likely ticked Naruto off than helped him, because of his brother-like relation with Sasuke. That was the only thing she could have possibly said that had a chance of calming Naruto down.
! And also, she wasn't really informed about KN with 4 tails, let alone 1, and didn't know that Yamato could calm Naruto down like he did. She thought she was the only one who could calm Naruo down and did it using the only thing she thought would work. That had absolutely nothing to do with whether or not she still likes Sasuke, and of course she wouldn't really do that. There's no way she can resue Sasuke if Naruto can't.
! I think Mizura said this better than me, though:
@Mizura:
! > Of Course she had to mention Sasuke! Naruto went berserk for HIM. What do you expect her to say:
- sit boy! which most likely won't work
- or even "drop Sasuke completely", which might actually Enrage Naruto?
I was quite surprised by what she said actually, I couldn't picture her saying that before because she's too weak to get Sasuke back by herself. But it was actually the best thing she Could have said. She Knows that Naruto would not have given up on Sasuke himself, all this time with Sai she saw how pained Naruto was for having lost Sasuke. If she'd have told him to drop it, she'd have been truly insulting his feelings, yet at the same time she did not want Naruto to lose his humanity just to save him. And yeah, she had to mention Sasuke as well, because it's for Sasuke that Naruto did go berserk, so mentioning him had the best chance of getting through to him (even if it didn't work).
@Mizura:
! > Since when did all of Sakura's actions make sense? =\ Sakura fan myself or not, I must say she's a bit suicidal sometimes:
- hugged CS Sasuke
- faced berserk Gaara (remember that?)
- took a hit in the stomach from Sasori
- and now tried to calm down Naruto.
She doesn't necessarily think of how effective or not her actions would be, she just acts. :S She doesn't want to stay behind while those around her are being mowed down, so sometimes she gets a bit desperate. >_< It's not like she knew for 100% certain that Naruto would not respond. In her mind Naruto is the grinning boy who gave her a promise of a lifetime. She was trying to reach Him, not kyuubi, even though she failed.
In the meantime:
- nobody told her about KN4. Hell she was surprised just at seeing KN1.
- and she sure didn't know that Tsunade gave Yamato the role of controlling Naruto.
She saw a berserk Naruto, a chance to try to calm him down, and nobody around her who (to her knowledge) would otherwise calm him down.
! Honestly, I don't know why people are bashing Sakura for this. It was meant to show her feelings for Naruto continuing to develop and it was not meant to show her still being all lovey-dubby over Sasuke. =/
! Damn the orochimaru vs naruto fight was aboustuley pointless while i did kinda of like this chapter that fight was worthless IMO. Sakura crying was kinda of stupid. OH naruto waah. Then i forget who said this but its so true that all the dialogue for the new fights in naruto is oh no im going die! or this bad. Also who's the person sai is talking about i forget or is it a new character. Though sai is the worst character ever i hope sasuke kills his ass. Come to thinlk of it what was the point of the orochimaru fightI mean killing orochimaru isnt going to help get sasuke back. Worthless….
spoiler for the lastest chapter
-_- Don't know why they don't just turn this into the "Bash the Naruto manga here!" thread. Seriously, that's pratically all I read here anymore is just bashing of it, other than people like TO, who are members of the NF forums. It just gets annoying and repeditive after a while.
imo, this chapter was good. i mean, i can understand why everyone is hating on naruto, but i didnt think this naruto vs orichi fight was TOTALLY pointless. i loved the beginning of this mini arc. i mean, when naruto totally pwned ocighimaru with his claw before he went super crazy mode? man. awesome ness. but yeah, he doesn't follow through. but the ending of this chapter has caught my interest again and i like the idea of orichi and kabuto possibly teaming up w/the naruto gang to beat akatasuki? who knows. hopefully, thigns will be better. b/c i found this fight much better than the sakura vs sasori (worst fight ever imo). so all i do is compare to that and things look brighter. =D
-_- Don't know why they don't just turn this into the "Bash the Naruto manga here!" thread.
If it was good, I wouldn't be so on about it. :/ I just really think it has become… boring. Just compare splash pages from now from some of the earlier arcs! And I used to be a really big Naruto fan when it started out.
It doesn't help that I really really dislike Orochimaru, Kabuto, Sasuke, or Sai either.

Not even I would've had the Balls to say something like that although I did try to defend the manga awhile back in this thread (though I think my comments fell on deaf ears.)

If you do not like it, HERE is a nice forum where you can go to get all the Naruto praise you want. I think criticism is a banning offense there.
…
We're bashing Naruto because it's fallen; you [fan] guys might not admit it, but Naruto isn't as interesting/unique as during the Chuunin Exam and Rasengan Arc. Heck, even the Sound Four/Five had me going for a while.
…but, this? It's almost as if Kishimoto re-engineered his vision for the series. It's a pseudo-DBZ now, and we've all seen that and people nowadays love to bash DBZ. So, Kishimoto takes DBZ and puts a little sugar on it and people claim it's the biggest thing in the world.
Most of us were once hardcore fans of Naruto, too. Arlong Park isn't biased towards One Piece; if anything, we're moderates, because we're quick to bash Oda for making an unconventional decisions. I see Naruto as getting progressively worse and worse, but I'm not going to deliberately lower my standard of expectation for the series just because Kishimoto enchanted me oh-so-long-ago.

And just because I still enjoy the series, and don't go running around looking for every fault in it, doesn't make me a fanboy of the series. There are some people who don't like One Piece but they don't go running around calling us all One Piece fanboys/girls of the series when we actually try to talk about it in a positive light. I enjoy the series. You don't. It's as simple as that.
And I could do the same complaining with One Piece if I wanted to (which I don't and I don't mean the following)....
"Zomg, Robin cried! She has to stop being so emotional!" for "Zomg, Sakura's crying for Naruto. Lamezors!". Character development on both ends (for Sakura, it's her realationship with Naruto).
And Naruto's finally doing what a Jinchuuriki does; tap into it's chakra and use it's powers. I don't see how this is so unexpected and new. And at least, unlike the SSJ system, there are actual downsides to KN's powerups. Once Naruto gets 4 tails out, the healing his body goes through will shorten his lifespan, like Tsunade's Genesis rebirth. The worse that happened with DBZ was that Goku could only stay in SSJ3 for a short amount of time when he was on Earth. And, as I recall, in the DBZ manga Goku grew out of the bersek Ozaru (monkey-form) thing. Naruto's growing into it and whenever he goes into KN4 or above, there's always a risk of him hurting his comrades. In fact, Naruto hit Sakura in this chapter, It'll be interesting to see where that goes with his development.
P.S. No, I don't care if I get banned from here. This thread just left a very bad taste in my mouth. If you don't like a series, stop reading it. Want to see the ending? Stop reading the series until it ends, but downloading the chapters as they come out, and reading them all together when it ends. If you don't like something, then instead of just forcing yourself to read it and complaining about it, just stop. If you still want to see the ending, then just stop until it happens and read it all together, instead of just complaining about the flaws in every individual chapter. That way, you can read the series as a whole, and not having to force yourself to read something you don't like each week, in hopes of reaching the end. Worried about spoilers? Since you aren't reading the series, just stay away from all Naruto discussions until it ends and you read it all. I just don't understand why some of you are torturing yourselfs so much if you really don't like it that much, with the way you are currently doing things. The way I suggested is a much better way of handling things in this case, IMO.
Edit: With my suggestion, of course, just read as much as you can each day, when you are catching up when the series ends. Just try to finish reading and get through the thing as fast as you can, so you can finally move onto something else.
Well, why don't you put your imput in here each week? You know, you're not going to get banned for liking it.
"Zomg, Robin cried! She has to stop being so emotional!"
Alot of people have a complained about that actually.
I don't really want to go through your post and tell you why I don't like certain things about Naruto, because obviously opinions differ. I find Naruto, even though he does go K4+ and all that, doesn't do any different attacks aside from randomly flailing of the arms to flinging energy balls. I think that's kinda boring, but then that's my opinion. So I would post it in this thread and that would be the end of it. You wanna know what I like? Ok~ Yamato is really cool and interesting, I like Naruto going insane with power, I love his cast of Konoha ninjas, and Rock Lee and Gai are two of the most amazing characters ever created. The fact is, Kishimono has the habit of pushing the things I like into the background and not letting them grow. Naruto has the potential to be a really cool series, and every week I get disappointed. That's why I read Naruto every week, not because I'm 'ZOMG MASOCHIST', but because I really liked it once before, I still really like alot of the characters in it, and I want to see how it ends, no matter how dull or frustrating it may be getting there.
Naruto has also stopped being as funny as it was. This makes me sad.
No, I don't care if I get banned from here.
That is rediculous. Nobody is going to ban you.
Not to throw gasoline on this already raging inferno nut to throw my two cents on this matter.
It sort of annoys me how people who have been with Naruto since day one vehemently continue to find things wrong with the series, while in some cases I can sympathise with these same people the bashing just gets redundant & repetitive after awhile (I mean even Bush-Bashing get tiresome.)
Simple & straight if you feel that Naruto is beggining to get bland do with it the same as a person with do with a stale piece of bread throw it out or if it's the last piece of bread and you can't get a hold of some new bread just swallow your pride & eat it (I know my metaphor sucks.)
But I can't throw out Rock Lee…..................... he is far to pretty and youthful~

:hm: Why do my instincts tell me to take that statement as sarcasm. XD

The bashing gets repetitive because the chapters that come out is repetitively bad >.> Some of us just don't held the saying, "If you got nothing good to say then STFU" as true.
Even the smallest decline in OP gets criticized (like when a chapter introduces even more enemies); we're not in denial.

Quite a new spin on an old saying.

Doesn't look like anybody is in denial apparently.
All I'm saying is that people have had problems with Naruto even before the Chuunin Exam arc which continues on eventhough the story is in it's 7/8 arc
(If you include Kakashi's flashback.) And it really makes me wonder how the devotion of those people has managed to stay this long, I mean you have people who used to read Gantz or Bleach but don't read those two mangas as much anymore (for some strange reasons). And all the complaints with the series makes me wonder why some people continue to read it.

Fah, that saying has lost its meaning and has become a refuge for people who couldn't be criticized. "OMG! UR so mean! Its my first fic!" or something like that.
I personally held on reading Naruto because I want to know what's going to happen to the other ninjas; the Hyuuga clan, the Aburame and stuff. Hell, the battles used to be really entertaining and displays the cunning mind of ninjas.
I still hope it will go better. When Naruto first used Kyuubi 3-tail against Oro, I thought it's going to be awesome. But…
@Sandai:
:hm: Why do my instincts tell me to take that statement as sarcasm. XD
Ha ha, no way that's sarscasm! Rock Lee is only my 2nd favorite character ever! ^^
Ha ha, no way that's sarscasm! Rock Lee is only my 2nd favorite character ever!
It's just your earlier statement felt like sarcasm my bad. ^^u
I read Naruto even though I don't like it as much anymore, when Naruto went all Kyuubi I want excited but now I'm wondering why it won't end, the fight is going on for ages. I still read it for the chance that Naruto (as in character Naruto) will turn back to what I loved before and see the other characters that I love, Lee and Gai are just brilliant! I fail to see exactly where Naruto is going, like Kishimoto is stuck himself and I really don't like that also that he's lost his touch. I loved Naruto before I thought it was great but the quality has gone down. I read it just to see where it's going with the hope that it'll get better again.
I admit, the quality has went down a lil bit. But part 2, is getting its ground roots in. I find the current story-line interesting, with the whole anbu-root, the inter-fighting in konoha, and Akuts.
I am looking forward to the next great ninja war, I feel it will happend in the next year or 2.
I dont think the fight is pointless, Naruto will realize he needs to rely less on Kyuubi because he hurts the people he love. Also, Danzo wanted to get in contact with Oro. Oro and Konoha have mutual enemies in akusti. Allies for a few arcs?
I honestly feel that some of you bash Naruto to harshly because it is number 1 in america instead of One piece. People complain about endless justus getting pulled out the ass. But have no problems with devil fruit powers.
People complain this fight is pointless, I dont see how it is. They cry bah this is pointless and that is so far from the truth. We learned alot of things from this fight. Why do you bashers think the fight was pointless? honestly.
why would anyone give a shit how popular things are in america?
and we've posted more than enough constructive criticism in this thread when things started getting bad and since nothing has improved much we have no reason to post anything positive.
and why people still hang around? The setting is fine and most characters too so we wait and hope to see something good or a decent progress in the story. That's the biggest flaw of thjis manga that is all happens so slow that you have to go back and read 20-30 chapters to actually understand what was happening.
raises hand I don't live in America, don't give a shit about what's popular there, but will still bash Naruto if I think it sucks. If it's good, I praise it, if it's bad I criticize. I know that might sound totally crazy, but it's how a newfangled kid like me is used to doing it.
Fact is, I think the latest couple of chapters have sucked royally, and I'm not going to stop saying that just out of consideration for people who do like it. If you like it, good for you. But you can't expect people to withhold criticism for the sole reason you don't agree with it.
Incredibly enough, though, I somewhat liked the latest chapter. The end of the fight was beyond anticlimactic, but I liked Kabuto's commentary on Naruto for some reason. It gave just a little bit more depth to things beyond ''rargh you insulted sasuke's hair style I go berserk now''. Same with Sakura's response, though she's still a pussy. Knocked out twice in a battle she's not even participating in? Wow.
But it seems like we're actually going somewhere Kishimoto's been planning to go now that Sai's contacted Orochimaru, so I guess I'll wait and see where things go from here. Also, Orochimaru and the good guys having sort of a mutual enemy sort of appealed to me as a premise.
The NF forums are down anyways…

Then what's the problem? Why complain about are bashing? Are you afraid you will start to dislike Naruto, too? If so, then I see that you've already noticed the series' faults and are not willing to admit it. This is why I linked you to NF; keep yourself blissfully unaware of any animosity toward the series by going to a place where people won't complain.
And I could do the same complaining with One Piece if I wanted to (which I don't and I don't mean the following)….

As I said earlier, we've complained about One Piece, too. It's nothing really big.
And Naruto's finally doing what a Jinchuuriki does; tap into it's chakra and use it's powers. I don't see how this is so unexpected and new. And at least, unlike the SSJ system, there are actual downsides to KN's powerups. Personally, the Kyuubi's weaknesses don't make sense because cells constantly replace themselves and grow. The outer layer of a person's skin consists of dead cells; simply accelerating the growth cycle sounds like Kishimoto couldn't think of any better kind of weakess. The same applies to Tsunade's power.
In any matter, Naruto's big thing with the Kyuubi was that it wouldn't happen even if he was mad; it was something he couldn't control, and there was always a good explanation as to why.
Prior to this Naruto II Arc, Naruto only went Kyuubi-berserk three times, not including simply using Kyuubi's chakra.
Now, Naruto uses the Kyuubi berserk like a power, even though there's limitations now on its abilities. It's exactly like I was saying; Kishimoto took DBZ, changed a couple things, and you "readers who are not fanboys" think it's the greatest show ever.

I used to be a hardcore Naruto fan, almost as much an OP fan. This is why I read the manga; I still have hope it'll get better and more interesting. I do not like Bleach, and I can never get Death Note; pretty much, Naruto and OP has defined Shounen Jump for me, and it's a pity to see Naruto crash and burn like this.
malintex, it is a shame that those two series have defined shonen jump for you because it does have alot of other stuff that is good. Your points are very valid. I think that many people just refuse to see some of the down sides of the manga. I am easily pleased. I enjoy the action to the series, while acknowledging its many faults. The story with naruto and sasuke has just dragged on for far too long. I wonder what the hell kishimoto is gonna do when he finally ends this crap with sasuke, if it actually continues from it because i can tell it wont. It probably wouldnt be so bad if there was as much of an emphasis on the other characters now as there was during the chase sasuke arc (although the fights were a bit too long and the sand ninja were a bit of a deus ex machina, if you ask me, but i still enjoyed their presence) It is a shame that the main character cant adequately carry this series but it is a reality that kishimoto desperately needs to realize
I wonder if naruto wouldve gone all dbzish i wonder what the second part would've been like.
ah this thread is so interesting, nobody gets fanboyish or total hater of naruto, that makes the debate fruitful.
as it's been said before, we continue saying the same things again but the same thing happens each week. the humour and originality of the fights are what made naruto great and now it's lame. i mean, i'd have prefered big times to have 4 or 5 chapters about gai's team fighting their clones instead of sakura fighting sasori for one hell of a too much number of weeks.
i'm still reading it because it's still kinda enjoyable and i like kishimoto's drawings, but hell, what i want to see is other akatsuki members, other jinchuuriki which are not all like naruto because the "ZOMG you're like me" now bothers me like hell.
This isnt off topic of naruto but it is of the chapter:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9g-49-en-70-gum.html
Does anyone here have that game. I loved the first one the second one was waay harder and had horrible music and the 3rd one has va's agains. Is it worth getting. I might import it with that bleach game with the ds. Though the 4th one is coming out in april. Should i just wait.
. . . . . what number was that volume? Cause the last volume in the Japanese tanko is like 37 or something.
'kay, I double-doubled checked. Viz's final volume is numbered thirty, and it involves a return of several characters; the volume preceding it, volume twenty nine, had Ryoga meet his "sumo-pig" girl Akari. This volume had a reapperance of Pantyhouse Taro meeting a good-looking Chinese Girl, as well as Akane donning a strange suit of armour with a yin-yan on it.
The bottom of the last page has Ranma holding Akane ontop of a bench with wet paint, and at the bottom, there's the immortal note "Ranma 1/2-Volume 30-The End".
Daer'Ragh!
what?!
i just saw ranma v.32 a couple weeks ago
also how does that have to do with naurto…

In English? It's always possible that Border's simply sells out of the manga, but somehow I'm not too sure because I have another Ranma 1/2 volume with me (21) and it clearly says "TBC" on the last page of actual drawings.
…and, I've forgotten how we got on this Ranma 1/2 tangent. XD
It was likely due to the boredom before the new chapter of Naruto came out. Regardless, though, I would like to finish things.
After reading 296 I have this crazy theory that Kabuto is gonna betray Orochimaru and join with Konoha. As someone said earlier I can't wait for the next great ninja war.
After reading 296 I have this crazy theory that Kabuto is gonna betray Orochimaru and join with Konoha.
I doubt it, Kabuto does have a strange agenda of his own, but I doubt he would ally himself with Konoha. He is just trying to make a point that although Konoha and Sound are enemies, there is a greater threat that they need to take care of.
anybody else notice that kabuto laughed like orochimaru this chapter…
i think kabuto will be on the major villans of the series later myself

I pretty much agree with everything Mog said here. In retrospect, besides the boring end to a really boring and pointless battle, this chapter had a lot of good points. I did kind of like Kabuto's commentary on Naruto's retardo rage, and I was kind of surprised (for the first time in a while) at Kabuto's healing Sakura and saying that Akatsuki is their real enemy.
I do kind of like the idea of Sound and Konoha vs. Akatsuki… sort of. I hope it ends up alright. And I really have to wonder what the fuck Sai has to say to Orochimaru, and I hope it doesn't end up being boring.
And I have to say, everytime anything happens that I don't like in a series, I express it. In Bleach I've done this several times, and I do it pretty often for One Piece if I don't like something that Oda did. For example, this week I thought it was kind of a cop out how Kaku is suddenly revealed to be a MASTAR SWORDSMAN, and I was disappointed that Jabura went immediately to beastman form instead of showing off martial arts in his human form. But, even with this disappointments I'm pleased with how Oda has presented them.
If you like the series so much and love what the author is doing, then SAY SO. Whining about everyone OMG BASHING when people don't like it as much as you is pretty lame.
Aside from wanting Naruto's Kyuubi, Akatsuki isn't really much of an enemy of the Ninja Villages, at least not yet, anyway. Leaf has been having offensive maneuvers against Akatsuki, and we shouldn't forget how Sound and Sand teamed up to overthrow Leaf, resulting in the deaths of two kages. Sound offering a "team up" proposal sounds an awful lot like Orochi realizing he's about to get fudged up, and knowing Naruto, all Orochi needs to do is say "I'll give back Sasuke" to earn an alliance with him.
…which would actually be a bit funny, considering Orochi has been explaining over and over of how Sasuke left Leaf of his own volition.
Well now that the fights over lets see if it has actually served any purpose for the narrative.
Better idea of the Kyuubi's power. This it the closest we've come to actually seeing Kyuubi in action.
Show's that Oro hasn't been idle. Unlike some villians who just sit there assuming that their invincable, he's actually learned something. My guess it that the skin shedding is his take on Tsunades regeneration jutsu.
The rejection symptons. This is curious. The simple answer is that it his soul being rejected. But I wonder if he may have used some of his gene therapy stuff on his bodies. Think about it he wants every jutsu. But even with the Sharingen it's physically imposible to learn the bloodline techneques like say the Byakugen.
Naruto's rage. It'd be neat if this was actually a symptom. Kyuubi is influincing Naruto's emotions to weaken the seal. Be neat if that is true.
Kabuto keeps you guessing on his motives. He was easily the best thing in this whole arc.
Sai's message. I really doubt it's an alliance against the Akatsui. My guess is that Danzo wants Oro's help overthrowing Tsunade. Course Danzo is an idiot then, considering what happened to the last guy who allied with Oro.(P.S. if this was One Piece my guess would be that Danzo is Oro's old landlord, and his message is that Oro left some of his stuff behind.)
I wonder who is going to let Naruto know he hurt Sakura.
anybody else notice that kabuto laughed like orochimaru this chapter…
i think kabuto will be on the major villans of the series later myself
The 2nd Naruto Databook profile on Kabuto seems to hint and nothing else BUT him possibly having goals "soaked in a greater darkness than his masters."

I have a feeling Sakura will request no one tells Naruto about this. She probably doesn't want to cause him any more pain.
But if it does get blurted out, it might be Yamato for the sake of smacking into Naruto "No more Kyuubi, you could die and look what you can do."

Wait…don't tell me the whole battle's point is to show Naruto that he can hurt the ones he love. If so, then I somewhat pity Kishimoto's storytelling skills. It takes too long, me thinks.

Huh? It doesn't seem that way to me…

Well, we'll see what happens with that.
This mini arc served to inform us of Orochimaru and Kabuto's plans in regards to Akatsuki, inform us of Naruto's possible loss of life at the hands of killing off too many vital cells thanks to Kyuubi, and to introduce us to the possibility of another war at the hands of Danzou.
Obviously, since Sai had no way of knowing Orochimaru would be there, his misson assigned to him had to with him waiting for Team 7 to lead him to Sasuke, and where Sasuke is, Orochimaru sure is not to far off. Sai just got lucky this time.
Also, now with 4-tails out've the way, more Kyuubi usage after this would be rather anti-climactic so we're sure to get more Naruto using shinbo prowess after this. This is almost guaranteed is Yamato or someone decides to inform Naruto of hurting Sakura.

You're missing the first page of his bio.
Here:
pg 157
Right arm of Orochimaru, Merciless behind the scenes, tactician.
“Kuk kuk, scared of me?”
‘Destroying Konoha,' as a motivation, Kabuto returns to Sound Country where he is always by Oro’s side, self sacrificing and devoted. Although outwardly it looks as though his goals and actions are the same as his master’s, his true nature is not yet revealed. Even his medical skills are imbued in darkness and Kabuto’s goals may be even deeper darkness.
well all ive got to say inn regard to naruto is that even when there is something going on, it is always too drawn out and not that interesting.
