Blue sub 6.. I thought you guys were lying.
I'm not crying… I'm not.

I'm not crying… I'm not.
[adult swim] goes until 6 AM EDT. So after this and Trigun there should be another hour and fifteen minutes left.
That was the Bluray version, huh? Explains why it was letterboxed. CN & AS usually stretch 4:3 tho.
What was blue submarine 6 about?
After Trigun is Astro Boy. The old one.
Aw…
NOW I'M GONNA CHANGE THE WORLD!
BY DESTROYING IT!
Astro Boy?!
Motherfucking truth. My eyes are burning.
Oh man, even these commercials are old.
Lots and lots of jet planes? What sick parent would buy those?
Blue Sub 6's dub pacing is a little off, I can't get down with this anymore.
Also… Freaking astro boy? Today is an awesome day.
I love the old Toonami commercials as well as Tom though I wish that we could see some of the old Moltar material again.
I do like that, while not using Moltar or the original Tom CGI (which is probably incredibly dated looking by now) they are at least using the good one… as opposed to the reeeeally awful design he had at the end of Toonami's run.
I still like short chubby Tom.
But really. WHAT were they thinking when they did this?

The best part of the night was the mass effect 3 review.

A lot apparently since that's a normal commercial. They just never had to update it.
"STAND ASIDE!"
God only knows how many times I heard that single line in ads on Toonami.

I don't remember ever watching this show, but I totally remember that line. Heard it so many times. Really bringing back the memories tonight.
Time for Space!!!!!!
"Are you just going to keep running away?"
"Just keep running away… I'm not... running.."
I came from my eyes.
Apparently it's the Wolfwood episode of Trigun.
So be ready.
Paradise
Oh dear
SO they play the episode where wolfwood dies…
Motherfuckers.
This has been great so far. So many shows. Brings back so many memories.
Damn this is the episode that I cried.
26 episodes of Trigun to pick from, and you have to choose THIS one?
Bastards.
Tho they really are totally handpicking choice episodes.
I can't cry. Half because I lost all my tears years ago and half because my head is killing me.
After Astro Boy is GIGANTOR.
Gigantor~ !
Gigantor!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More people need ti see this
Well that's all of the shows or is there one more after Gigantor. I just don't want to this end.
I see no listings for anime next week, so does that mean this is also their last hurrah as well?
Anyway this has been a great night full of memories, the only part that makes me Kinda sad is that now I feel old and that this is from a bygone era in my life that will never happen again.
Darn it. I'm not crying. Darn it.
Damn, I'm crying as well.
Fucking tears
why emotions why
oh come on at leats after trigun.
and miss astro boy and gigantor? Nope.
I need to read Trigun, I want to know the real conclusion.
I still laugh everytime the sniper puts the gun to his temple though.
Edit: Toonami's reviews are better than actual gaming sites. Amazing.
I'm going back and forth on Toonami today. God, I fucking love Big O.
…..A part of me hopes someone notices the positive response to this day, and maybe considers doing something special.
Now, how much of it is pure nostalgia… and how much it is them actually... picking out and airing GOOD SHOWS back in the day that made anime popular on the channel?
Everything on adult swim was just sort of mopey depressing stuff that tried to be all philosophical about life and artsy. And while theres a time and a place for those kinds of shows... (Ghost in the Shell IS good, but... not fun. Blood+ or Witchhunter Robin are okay... but not fun.) They haven't had a lineup this solid in a long, long time.
I have to assume some of the people responsible that had decent taste simply left the channel at some point.
First episode of Astro Boy? ooooh
Nice to see the first episode Astro Boy Saw some of the ones after it. Can't wait for Gigantor since it was fun to watch last time.
Wow… that's acutally kinda morbid. Your son dies and you make an exact robot copy to replace him? damn
Man Astro's dad is insane.
That's… horrible. Just horrible. ;___;
WHY ISN'T MY ROBOT GROWING?
THIS MAKES NO SENSE.
JOOOOOOOOOOKE
And the market for robot children begins.
After Gigantor we're done. Rightstuf commercial, neat.
That's cold. Astro's dad is ralley a huge jerk.
Watching Toonami while playing PC games. I feel like a teenager all over again. Only instead of the tiny piece of shit TV I was left with, I'm watching off a projector. And instead of using my family computer, I'm using my very own laptop.
It's funny how while we worship the past, the present is wonderful too. Of course, it'd be awesome to have both Toonami every night and what I have now.
I love Rightstuf, whoo~
But still.
Astro's dad is nuts. Is there no emotional attatchment to Astro whatsoever? After years? What the hell?
The dub names made me laugh.
Aster Boyington. What?
It's a shame there's no toonami beats for Astro Boy or Gigantor. :(
Edit:
Tom's JOKING RIGHT? I hope he is.
Oh snap, if this is on every saturday I'd cream myself.
Damn you april fools, now the anticipation shall kill me.
i love rightstuf, whoo~
but still.
Astro's dad is nuts. Is there no emotional attatchment to astro whatsoever? After years? What the hell?
HE'S JUST A FANCY FRIDGE.
And he's not as cool as a fridge either.
The Kids Pop commercials certainly haven't disappeared.
But I haven't seen a 'Zoo Books' commercial in quite some time.
