Anybets its the MSP Ace
Sadly not, it's just a chibi figure from the WCF line, I think.
You can see on the box art http://planetenintendo.wordpress.com/2011/12/21/nintendo-capcom-one-piece-collector-tekken-3d-en-fevrier/

If Nintendo is the one distributing the game, it´s almost sure that they´ll have it in UK this time…the problem from the american point of view would be the region lock this time
I hope the Nintendo site made a mistake when they said that this game is a remake of part one …

Unfortunately, it doesn´t seem like it. A spanish manganime website asked Trescom, the communication agency who works with Nintendo Spain to distribute the news, and the article wasn´t wrong. It only has the first game and the Marineford mode: http://www.deculture.es/2011/12/22/one-piece-unlimited-cruise-special-un-juego/#more-37864
that can't be right. What would be the point in that. (i'll still get it i never owned part 1 so the entire game will be new to me)

To make us pay the double when they release the second game, that´s the fucking point
So wait, if it is just Part 1, did the Japanese version only contain Part 1?
Japanese version contains 1 and 2.
Kinda annoying this. Since I played the death of part 1 on the Wii (not so much part 2) Marineford and a non-exclusive Ace figure just doesn't cut it for me.
It still can't be right, I can't see how they could cut the game in half. It could be a lot more profitable to release it on a game cartridge with less memory. So maybe the full game would be too expensive to produce, however I still feel that this sounds like a mistake.
No US release. So Pissed. >=(

Yeah my exact same problem … I loved the game but it is a pain in the ass to get the 100% ...
ah right yea. So as long as we pre-order it (and they DO release it) we should get special edition.
i've put mine to pre-order on shopto but i noticed it's been pushed back again. Which is alright as i wanted to get catherine or last story around february anyway
I tried to get some clarification on this, but Google disappoints me yet again with little to no (reliable) information.
Will the European release/s have the Japanese dub like the Wii version did?
Most likely. It's for Europe so they gotta do english, german, french, spanish etc. So I assume it'll be Japanese + Subtitles.
Just the way it should be.
@Nia:

Yeah, they confirmed that it´s japanese dubs and Multi5 translation text.
And Namco/Bandai still avoids the issue and won´t say a friggin´ thing about the second game
Hell yeah! :D Thanks for the quick answer, you two.
It's settled then - I'll get this game as soon as it hits the shelves!
Anyone from UK here? I´ve been trying to post a message in Namco/Bandai´s UK website community asking about the game but it always gives me an error message so I´ve been unable to create the topic: http://www.uk.namcobandaigames.eu/community/topics/list
I'm not from the UK, but I'm from Australia and we get games pretty much the exact same day that you do. We are both PALs after all[/pun intended]
I find it hard to believe they'd cut the game in half for the PAL release.
FINALLY. I managed to post a topic asking about this in Namco/Bandai´s community. I hope I´ll get some answer from them: http://www.uk.namcobandaigames.eu/community/topics/about-one-piece
And here I was going to buy a euro 3ds to play this eventually… Not if its cut in half...
Atencion!!!!!!, me he comprado el Hobby Consolas de este mes, y en un apartado dedicado a los juegos del 2012, he encontrado esta foto: En ese pequeño apartado dice el como ira incluida las 2 parteshttp://www.pirateking.es/foro/ltopic675924.html < just see .ـــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــfrom what i understood by using google translate that's the game include Ep2 ! , please tell me am right .

Uh… yes... and no... How do I answer you, in english or in spanish? That magazine was printed before Nintendo announced the distribution deal and started all that trouble with their article, so what Hobby Consolas said is practically meaningless at this point
Ok, I got a small reply about the "two or one games" issue in the community topic on Namco/Bandai´s website
Ok, Nintendo have responded and have informed me that the European team are formulating a response for yourself and other fans. They will inform me when this is ready.
Let´s see what comes out of this
I don't understand how Namco Bandai doesn't know, they're the developers. Nintendo are only publishing it. Can't believe they don't know either.

It´s like they don´t care, or they don´t want to answer, and that´s what´s bugging me
Bad news folk it has been confirmed that this game in europe is indeed pt 1 and marineford by itself, due to limitations caused by multiple languages. No idea why Nintendo couldn't let NamcoBandai use the 4GB cards like Metal Gear Solid 3…
All hopes that part 2 includes extras but I fear marineford mode may also be half :

Though I will buy the game just to show NamcoBandai we do want One Piece games, just wondering if they implemented a save transfer system between the games….and that it comes out within half year or earlier.

This has been my exact problem with Kaizoku Musou. Guess they don't want our money, that's fine.
That's a load of shit. Because of languages? Seriously, it's not like there's multiple dubs -_-
Multiple subs!
But I suppose it's a valid reason and shows why it's been delayed.
I just wish Marineford mode was worth it.
The worse thing is that, knowing myself, I´ll get the game anyway, even if it´s just for the Marineford Mode:sad:

Well, that´s the least they can do… the best would be to put it at half price, or to add brand-new features, or features lost from the Wii games like the Versus Mode... but who am I kidding, we´re talking about the european staff: they didn´t create the game and I doubt they´ll go ask the original japanese developers to make new content just because they didn´t want to use game cards with more memory
Well I'll get it myself. I loved UC anyways and having it on the handheld makes it more worthwhile.
It just would be nice if there was something extra for us who already own the Wii games. A common figure (that isn't exclusive at all.) and a tacked on Marineford mode just doesn't do much for me lol
Can you play online against other players?
Do you think it will still have the characters from part2 for other modes. If i remember right crocodile appears in part 2 but he also appears in marineford
Off to work but saw this:
http://www.siliconera.com/2012/01/20/is-namco-bandai-making-one-piece-new-world-cruise/
They wouldnt have that problem in America, the games are always in english here and sometimes spanish and/or french
That's ridiculous. They've cut the game in half… Defintiely won't buy a Euro 3ds for this. Disappointing...

Well, if you take out Kizaru, Crocodile or Whitebeard, it would be a very strange mode… yeah, Marineford mode seems to be complete
Does it have a mode that allows you to play as the non-strawhat characters cause i hear they took vs. mode out of the JP ver.
Nope, you can only play with non-strawhat characters in the Marineford Mode, I guess
VS mode is gone, too? The least they can do is add that back after cutting half the game -_- And what will the motivation be for people to rebuy part 2?
AFAIK there is a Survival Mode in this game which is similar to the Boss Rush Mode from Unlimited Cruise 2.
In Survival Mode you can play as everyone from the two games + Marineford, at least in the japanese version.
Sounds like a poor excuse to me, the could have split the European release into different languages (one English, German, French etc…). Didn't they do that with Gigantic Battle? I'm sure the French/German version was only one language. Probably more expensive though which is why not they're doing it.
so that means when i buy the game/german version next month
i will get a half cutted game with no vs mode ?
thats horrible
We can´t complain about the no vs mode when it wasn´t in the original release either, but yeah, I want the heads of whoever thought this half-assed solution
Amazon UK pre-order link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/One-Piece-Unlimited-Special-Nintendo/dp/B006OK41SW/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1327250646&sr=8-7
I'm pretty excited about the pre-orders being up on Amazon, until I came here and you guys broke the bad news…
I can understand the situation though. It was pretty clear that this game would sell very well in Japan, so Bandai Namco would have used the larger game cartridges there to hold the game. However the larger game carts are more expensive, so although there's not as much profit, the sales figures probably made up for it.
However the situation is in Europe is two problems. The first is localizing for all of Europe so that they don't have to produce multiple versions of the game, this is the safe bet as the game will probably not sell as well in certain regions.
The second problem in Europe is fitting all of the game on a smaller cart while including the entire game and each language. I can't imagine that the extra text of different languages would be a problem, but using a cheaper cart definitely is. Considering that the game would be condensed from what was originally condensed from 2 DVD size games, then with the additional content. Cutting the Japanese version down is a big problem.
I really wasn't expecting this, I guess this is what the big delay was about. I am more disappointed that there will probably be no part 2, I mean it would not make sense considering that the climax (Marineford) is included with this version. Part 2 would be pretty bare!
I have seen this sort of thing happen before with Namco's Mr.Driller: Drill Spirits on DS launch. They didn't include the story mode, which was basically the main game mode! Why they did it could be anybody's guess, translating or game cart restrictions.
The only upside to this is that if you have played through Part 2 on the Wii, at least you won't have to go through the whole game again to get to Marineford.
Oh and the other upside is the Ace figure....That's right, remove half the game, include some plastic, happy fans?
