Mark my words. In one more chapter Miu's ass will start to get character development.
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
-
-
And here I thought Fairy Tail was in your face with the fanservice.
Point set and match, Kenichi..
-
Well, I'll give this chapter this…it's a much less boring route then ending the arc there.
-
BREAKING NEWS: Local manga, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, allegedly contains copious amounts of fanservice!
UPDATE: People are still surprised by this! More at eight!
-
It's not surprising, but that rump just juts out so impudently that you would think it was a main character. Next arc, Miu's decadent derriere will emancipate itself and develop its own fighting style. Kushinada's bodacious bust, however, which have always been a master of this style, will try to exploit the hatred lying in Miu's glorious buttocks (the years of sitting in odd places and bending over provacatively will have gotten to it) and take it on as a disciple, turning it into a weapon of ass destruction.
-
Kenichi is there for that purpose, to return Miu's glorious rumps back to its peaceful state. One cheek at a time.
-
I dunno….I think her vajayjay is trying to get a role too. sigh I really want to be able to look past the fan service but it's so awkward it really takes away shots that could be cool lol. Instead I start thinking...Man she must be very bainwashed, a constant breeze down there while fighting would feel terrible. And god ick she's underage. And Jenazad must be a perv. Why can't girls wear proper clothes in this? Why is it so important to the author to even have those seens set up like that? Then that stupid song ass n titties pops into my head. Then when I remove all sceens that have fan service the chapters feel even shorter. Or I have to re-read because I wanted to get past the ecchi stuff on the first go.
And I'm sorry Big Bad that you are so tired of hearing about people commenting on the ecchi lol. I don't think we are suprised about it. But when there's more fan service than plot points there's not too much to discuss lol. We've been on page 70 since the 16th. This thread defintely moves slower than the rest.
I'm just wanting to see what happens next week. I can't really think of what sort of a good idea Jenazad thinks it would be to have Kenichi nearby when Miu is a tad broken. My first thought is to have her kill him. Miu by a small small small percentage is possibly faking now? Or he'll brainwash Kenichi too...Which I would find more interesting. Actually I think I would have really liked this arc more if Kenichi was the one who was originally kidnapped and Miu had to go save him.
-
It's fine, Baroness. The manga keeps on including it, you people keep on mentioning it, I keep on mentioning you mentioning it, and the cycle repeats. We do this dance forevermore.
But to introduce an actual topic: which disciple-class characters do you think have the potential to become master-class? Or perhaps, the most potential, I should say. Since Kenichi had none whatsoever, but Ryouzanpaku made a man out of him.
-
Wasn't it already mentioned Siegfried and Boxer boy has the potential to become a masters in their respective martial arts. Siegfried has more natural talent though, he did not require a human..eh…living...master. XD
Of course their is that working salaryman who always get a call from his wife too. He is already above disciple class...but lower than that of a master.
Haruo...is already a master...at running away. XD
Oh...I forgot about Hermit. He is on his way too.
-
Wow, what a "meh" chapter. It was just weird reading it. The pacing just seemed off and jumpy. We were in the middle of an intesne fight and ended up with Keneichi being kidnapped and John the Mercenary being caught in a jungle ambush. What? Why the hell was Kenichi even knocked out that easily? He's taken faaar much more punishment than that. His everyday training itself is 10x more dangerous than Miu going all out! Lol, an exagerration perhaps but I digress.
As for the questions.
Aso did her boobs increase?
Yes, they increase 1cm per chapter and can expand beyond that or even decrease depending on the author's mood and rankings.
(I'm just making this up)

Who has the most potential? Besides Kenichi of course I'd say Miu. It's in her blood and she has had far more training and discipline in the world of Martial Arts than Keneichi and most of the other disciples. I think she's the closest to becoming a master.
-
I'd say Siegfried and or Freya have the most potential to be a master class out of all the disciples.
-
http://www.mangareader.net/historys-strongest-disciple-kenichi/459 Newest chapter's out…Well the story progresses.
-
Lol, Kensei shock therapy has officially failed…what next?
-
Gomu gomu no…GATTLING GUN!!!! XD
If boobs won't work...shouldn't he just touch somewhere else
-
LOL! I never thought I'd laugh at a main character I like getting beaten so badly in a serious fight but that was hilarious.
-
Wow, they aren't even trying to hide it anymore, throw that crotch in our faces.
-
That ending was just hilarious.
-
sad for kenichi but hilarious for everyone else.XD
-
In HSDK, tits are dramatic.
-
Miu's had several chapters of not having underwear on. I kinda doubted the boob grab would effect her. Brainwashed Miu has no dignity or modesty.
-
Many times I feel I should just sit back and enjoy Miu for what she is, (I mean look at that last page!), but she keeps making me ask questions I don't like the answer to. Lately I've had a thought in my head, this arc is about an evil manipulator controlling Miu. Then, is this arc setting the right tone when the author is constantly manipulating Miu to his will? Miu was a puppet, or rather plot device, for this manga for a long before this arc. I dreaded this arc since Jenzad set his sights on Miu, and now I'm realizing why. Matsuena…I don't think he's the right guy for the story we have right now. I feel like this arc is a mistake. I feel sorry for Miu, yet I feel that even if she escapes Jenzad she won't be "free." After so many chapter of Miu half naked can Matsuena really go back to putting her in that leotard? What does the future hold for this manga? Have I mentioned Miu's character doesn't make sense to me?
The good, I love this cliffhanger. I have no idea if it's a joke or if Kenchi is really injured, and that makes things more suspenseful. Plus it's possible Kenichi's grope did work and Miu's just punching him just cause. There's so many possibilities!

Good points you made. Why doesn't Miu's character make sense to you though?
Like I said before, I would have much preferred this arc is it was a Kenichi being brainwashed and Mui going to save him. It also would have prevented this wardrobe nonsense…99% sure of that. But on the flip side, the arc would have been I think less predictable. Or at least made it a bit more unique from other rescue arcs. I can't think of the last time I saw a woman/girl go on a rescue mission to save a man/boy. We already knew Miu was a very strong fighter, and Kenichi, while improving, still lags behind. He didn't even get time for a training arc between the capture and finding her to make me think he'd be able to do anything other than try to make her remember. He still couldn't take her, mostly because he couldn't really go all out since she's female.
I think if the story had been reversed it would have been cool to see Miu fighting a stronger Kenichi that doesn't remember his code and could make her work for her victory. Then after the arc he can be all corner sulky for hitting her even while brainwashed.
-
This way fits better with the major theme of Kenichi protecting and surpassing Miu however which has always been his dream. It depends on how Matsuena handles the climax of this arc.
-
maybe once Miu gets back to normal, which she will eventually, will she remember that she learned from him or something is going to happen that will make her forget?
also if the Kensei shock therapy doesn't work what will?
-
I kinda don't care as much any more how it gets resolved. As long as it's not resolved with the standard confession of love.
I still think that they can do both. I thought that originally they were going to have this rescue arc when her father got more involved.
-
If boobs won't work…shouldn't he just touch somewhere else
this man gets it. Kenichi, your grope-fu is still too weak!
-

Lol, they need to change the manga genre and bring on the x-rated scenes.
-

As if she ever wore any underwear.
-
It's kind of different when you are wearing a leotard instead of a mini-robe.
-
I think Kenichi is going to have to die as a martial artist in order to save Miu. I don't know how to explain it very well, but in order for Kenichi to fight against Miu with every thing he has, he will have to break one of his rules. It's like a Katsujin-ken deciding to kill, once they do they have to give up their martial arts.
Since Kenichi learned martial arts for Miu's sake in the first place, I don't think it's a bad thing, but it'll be kind of sad for awhile until he finds a new reason to fight. Maybe he'll go on a journey to discover himself again lol.
The scene where Sakaki and the others walk in and find Kenichi hitting Miu will be very sad, and the scene where he tells his friends he's done as a martial artist will be pretty emotional too.
Well, that's only if the story goes the way I'm thinking, but I really don't see any other way to save Miu. The only good thing, is that Sakaki will probably go into a rage and Jenazad will get his ass whooped.
-
Just putting it up.

Hey, a good fighting chapter! What a nice surprise.
-
KENICHI is in a PINCH!!!!…OH NO!!!
-
^ Pretty much. A nice fighting chapter and it ends with Kenichi taking another look-a-like finishing move.
-
Haidouken.
Is Miu completly naked from the waist down? That's just to much ecchi, whats the point.
-
@E7x:

She naked. She only has that robe on.

Grab Hold of her Naked Heart
You know, I think the fanservice is almost a self-parody at this point.mubyoshi
KAAAAAA
yeah, this is the other reason why I read this manga. Let's go, time to kick some ass. -
you know that when it's Miu that Kenichi wants to protect, he kicks 10,000x more ass compared to when it's just his other friends. Next few chapters are bound to be great, even when Kenichi is so injured. it's not the first time he got this damaged anyway.
-
To think I use to bitch about the fanservice in Fairy Tail…
-
At least it has far more substance to it than Fairy Tail.
-
Yeah, no way Mashima draws forms as voluptuous as Matsuena does.
-
That… wasn't exactly what I meant by substance but you have a point.
-
Still bugs me that it;s underaged fan service, bleh. But yes Kenichi when he's a badass really makes this series worth keeping with.
-
kenichi finally hits a girl and goes pretty hard going in on miu. nice little fight they had.Kenichi's endurance is master class if anything else at the moument.Does anybody thinke those two little girls will fight each other?
-

Huh? I didn't see him hit a girl, just that large man.
Fight of the adorable little girls? It's a possibility.
-
Damn Kenichi get it! Great chapter, I love a manga that has a likable main character.
-
I'm gonna hope back what I think about our main characters and just mention this new monster character. I like him. He's huge, he's a threat, and we've learned just enough about him so he isn't an asspull. I'm just so glad this wasn't another one of those "master class," fighters that just show up, bury the disciples, and get humiliated by the real masters. I hated that dreadlock-wearing swordsman (though I admit Apa needed someone to punch), and that crazy-eyed politician. This Sankan guy, thanks to what we know about the Demon fist, has way more character then those last two guys, and thanks to his monster-like disposition I have fewer questions be his sudden appearance.
It's like what Toriko does sometimes, whereas Bleach or Naruto might introduce powerhouses with little character, that series has powerhouses with no character because it's a monster. If you want a powerful character to suddenly appear, creating a monster is the best method. With dreadlock swordsman, I wonder how long he spent perfecting his craft to the point he could be a master, but not defend himself against a elderly midget with a stick or a dead man. With Sankan, I can see how he came to be–Demon Fist is just a kind of messed up guy. I hope this somehow changes things so shallow masters never appear again, but I doubt that'll happen.
By the way, anyone notice that the little girl's robe is a little short this chapter (page 8)? It seems the buttcrack was erased, but the implication is that she isn't wearing underwear either. I don't think anyone wears underpants in this country. I'm starting to wonder if Matseuna is just being consistent to his vision of this country, and stopped noticing all that nudity at one point. Maybe he thinks this cover with a nude Miu is the first fanservice thing with he's done with her in awhile. It also speaks to me about the importance of the princess' reverse-thong pants(what do you call those)--she must be really important to have such pants in this country.
-
That's similar to what I said…the underwear issue. Like their country has a shortage...
But You bring up some interesting points. I actually am only curious as to the guy's size. This is the first person I can recall that isn't just above average in height and build. He's actually monstrous in size.
I think I might be just so disinterested in this manga right now. I don't care about Miu (especially if she's just gonna be only around for fan service), most of the side characters I'm kinda, meh, about. I just want to see how Kenichi progresses. I read it cause It gives me something to fill in the gaps of free time I have at work. My list of manga must increase! So I can't really drop it.

The fact of the matter is that this manga has uber elite fodder. I know it may sound weird but that's how it is and the author can hardly waste time developing every fodder can he?
