I lol'd. The French really like their CoD. -
Mandatory lol COD post.
I haven't seen as much hype or ads or anything for this one like I did with Black Ops. Maybe Battlefield did the trick..
Lol yeah right but that'd be sweet tho

I preordered it, but my dad won't let me get it since I bought Batman: AC a week ago.
-
It got here a couple of hours ago, pretty good so far. Although I'm not really enjoying mp, again, I put it down to me being shit.
-
About 22% in so far. Got a buffer override and it crashed, so I'm taking a break before work. Seems pretty good. I like the new guns, and the double scope is nice. Some of the vehicle controls are a little wonky, though. Good variety so far, though. Should enjoy the rest. Haven't tried Multiplayer yet.

Well, just finished SP, it's COD so I wasn't emotionally invested in it anyway but that felt kinda underwhelming. Whatever, now it's onto MP for a couple of days until "it" gets here. (Hint: "it" rhymes with Flyrim)

MW would be awful without the hoards of kids and douche-bags. Its what gives you the dedicated drive and focus needed to pummel them into the ground.
Really? That's kind of the reason why I'm avoiding online now. It ruins my experience of gaming to play with foul-mouthed teenagers yelling around and behaving unbearable. When I play something online, I want to play with people who aren't assholes and I can actually play and talk with.
I can see you reasoning with beating them in the game, but for me, that just doesn't feel like it's enough. I want to physically beat them in with their own controller, not in some game where winning can barely be seen as an accomplishment. -
It depends on how invested you are in it.
My friend rages…. hard... during matches. But that's cause he just gets mad at shit. He normally has EVERYONE on mute. Why? cause it's distracting to him.
When i'm online with him and we're in a good mood, we open the chat up and experience the wondrous world of CoD's... crap talking kids. It's fun to poke fun at them and laugh about it. If they stomp us and talk shit... well.. I dunno about you, but if you get upset over something like that, you shouldn't be playing the game. I don't know even know what the benefit is of chatting on the game is, honestly. I usually play team deathmatch… and.... well... it doesn't really require much teamwork. Know the spawn points, know the map, and know the frequented high traffic areas. If you are getting extra serious... then run with a clan of people you KNOW you can talk to. Mute everyone else. Easy.

It's not that I can't handle losing, It's just every time I see many people acting horribly on the internet, something in me just dies. I just hate it how I'm constantly confronted with the fact how unpleasant and different people are when they don't have to worry about any serious consequences, because lol internet. It's very silly, I know, but for some reason, I just can't get over this. But that's more of a personal problem than anything I should blame on the game.
Thing is, I enjoy playing these games with my friend with four players on a huge TV, but the guys I spent most of my time with play CoD (whatever part is relevant at time) all the time. I swear, the whole, goddamn time. I'm not a person to quickly loose interest in something, but give it a break guys. I can't play this for two months every day. Heck, I can't even play it for more than two hours, because I will get a mad headache. Every time there is a new title coming out, I already know the next month is going to suck ass.
About the talking part, yeah, I could have been more detailed on that one. I simply meant that I enjoy it way more to play with people that sit next to me. You know, like when you're a kid, you and your buddies would play the game together and be really invested with it, pointing out stuff and communicating during gaming, I always enjoyed that very much and I kind of miss it. -
I guess im just a bit of a sadistic bastard when it comes to guns and killing in general. The more upset/rage i hear…the more a appealing a brutal death is. I guess you could say it gives me another kind of drive outside the realms of addiction, egotism and the sheer smug factor.
Anyway my reasoning for playing aside...
....the game is awesome. The thing about the other games is that most of the time people used the same old guns making it a bit samey and predictable. Whereas this game tends to deliver a whole plethora of appealing and functional weapons to your fingertips with a whole multitude of attachments that surpass the previous titles. So all in all the weaponry is brilliant.
As for the maps: Again brilliant, but not just due to the layout and graphical design, but how they have made so many nooks and crannies for you to dive behind, that in return makes its all but impossible to gauge where the opposition might be hiding. This feature helps prevent the maps and game from getting a bit mouldy after time as you'll find it hard to get the ground hog day feeling about any game or scenario. I also noticed the maps seem a lot more maze-like in style allowing you to flank a good portion of the opposition. The satisfaction of wiping out the majority of the team in stealth can help keep the game interesting.
I'm only just past level 50 so i have a lot more to explore in terms of weapons and features. My first impression is that the developers have really taken in the fans feedback and made changes to please and maintain a good balance in an effort to reclaim the crowd after the blackops flop.
The only real issue is lack of zombies. I'm a little let down they decided to milk it a while longer, though i can understand why after releasing so much zombie content the past few months.
