@Flux:
Danes is a brilliant character. Russell loves to write his characters all gray with no blacks or whites - so I expect he'll finally get death, and more importantly, redemption in death.
Between episodes 2 and 4 I was worried the pace was getting a little slow, but damn yeah the ovens came out of nowhere. And it'll be interesting to see the effect. I don't think Vera will be
! gone for good (I really loved her character), but that said, they must be burning them for a reason. Probably to reduce body mass.
That manbitch Maloney, I hope he gets what's coming to him.
I disagree there. I think Danes is written very, very black. But you don't care. You know he's a monster yet you still get joy seeing this beast be glorified as a hero and his pleasure at having all this positive attention when he had been rejected by society long ago. This unique situation where a murderer becomes a hero and his reaction to it is one of the most fascinating things this series has ever produced.
Those ovens are disgusting, just fucking disgusting yet why was I NOT surprised that this was the governments' final solution. I get the logic they're going by. "They would have died anyway, we're just helping them along". But.you.shouldn't.get.to.make.that.decision. Natural death is natural because it's natural. To eliminate people to save resources is murder period no different from the Holocaust. Plus the stupidity and arrogance that the government can classify who is far gone. Especially when it was proven in the same episode how flawed the system is.
Maloney was just so random yet the drama was so realistic and handled so well that I couldn't help but accept him as another part of the corrupted system. And it's the system that killed Vera not Maloney.

@loneassassin:
Agree with both of your statements. Bill Pullman infected with the holy spirit was awesome
Also, And I'll spoiler this,
! The first thought that went through my head about the ovens and how it would dispense all the ashes of the people into the air I thought "I pray to god that all the ashes don't mix together and create some ash form of the Legion, with all of the ashes of the people remembering what happening to them" because I don't know if that would be scary and creepy as fuck, insanely awesome or a combination of the two
Ha! Wouldn't that be a fun, unforeseen side-effect:)
