Who is Makino?
I'm drawing a blank on this lady.
Who is Makino?
I'm drawing a blank on this lady.
isnt she the bar-girl from the village where Luffy was from….
Yes Makino is the barkeep that Shanks went to when Luffy was a kid. I highly doubt she's a D though.
I believe "Masuru D. Choche" is what the MSN scanlations use.
Yep, they also use Dachshund Binami. In case nobody knows who that is supposed to be, it´s Bellamy the Hyena.
And I really wonder why those MSN guys don´t update the chapters. They say themselves that they host Null´s work. So if they want to stay true to Null´s work, they should put up Null´s re-released versions of volumes 26 and 27 which are far better then their previous ones.
daschund binami. heh, that made me laugh. XD
ok, now back on topic.
does anybody think this "D" issue has anything to do with the lost history? robin mentioned the possibility of it in skypiea. and now that we have the knowledge of a great country lost during that time gap, could it be that the people with the will of "D" are actually…
drumrolls
the descendants of the citizens of that lost country?
i know 800 years is a long long long way back, but the possibility of survivors from that country can exist, like the case with robin in ohara. it may be only a few people, maybe six or five or even two. but if there are survivors then by bearing children, these people are able to continue their lineage and legacy. i'm not saying the "D" people we know now are the absolute pure descendants straight from their great grandaddy "D". these people may have married other people from other countries and might scatter all over the world, which explains why luffy and ace are related as brothers and know each other, whereas luffy, upon meeting blackbeard did not recognize him ALTHOUGH there is a chance that they might still be distantly related.
also note that all "D" bear similar characteristics, in which one of them is believing in dreams of being the greatest. and clover from ohara clearly mentioned that this lost country was a great one, an absolutely powerful one indeed, perhaps the greatest of its time...
EDIT -- oh oh and i want to add that this might explain why the "D"s are only dudes. maybe its in their genes, maybe it's their uniqueness, or maybe they MADE it that way so they can continue their line. how they do that, i do not know yet. am still happily speculating. XD and don't forget that anything humans can imagine is possible in OP.
We nver knew whether the D's are dudes.. woman can possibly be one..
but i agree on your opinion that the D's might be the ppl from the lost city
and the Ds might be the key to the lost history too.. remember Gol D Roger carved something onto the ponyglyphs in Shandia the golden city.. maybe there is a connection.. im not sure.. its still too early to think of the possiblities.. there are still lots of missing puzzles….
