I like the Shigan and Tekkai for Robin the most. I think that Kami-E is unnecessary with Robin´s doubling technique while Geppou, Rankyaku and Soru should be too much for her legs without specific training. I´d really like to see a giant finger Shigan though.

Yeah, Kami-e would be quite pointless now that she has Cuerpo Fleur to avoid being hit, especially if used in conjuntion with Kenbunshoku Haki.
Now to be honest, I highly doubt that Oda would make her use any Rokushiki technique (no matter how much any of us want him to) but if he ever does, it would definitely be in a form of a surprise in a typical Oda-fashion.

Yeah of course, it will probably only remain a fan wish but for me, those are the two techniques i find befitting for Robin

Wow dude congratulations on it, you really held on for this long and on something you love good luck on mailing it. A slight suggestion you could talk to CC to mail t to him since Oda or whoever sorts through his mail seem to recognise his pen name or Greg his recent burst in popularity in the japanese anime/manga community(he even got a job at shueisha) might increase the chances of someone paying attention to it.
Anyway whatever happens congratulations man.

Hold on, Greg has a job at Shueisha now!? Wow…..just wow! @_@
Anyways, Thanks dude, but I don't even know if he would be all for it since he might not even be interested (Greg I mean), plus he's a busy dude from what I've heard.

Unless I completely miss heard him then yes, what exactly he is doing there I don't know since I guess he is under a contract of confidentiality
It wouldn't hurt to ask, plus I think he would be glad to help a fellow devoted fan such as yourself, case in point his effort to compile all of Oda's comments and such perhaps he will recognize you're kindred spirits I say go for it. It would really suck for you to send it and it gets lost in the mountain of letters Oda surely receives anything that would make it stand out more would be a great boost.

True, it would be a great boost. To be honest, I was originally planning on making two copies of the document, one to send to Shonen Jump U.S and one to send to the Japanese division, all to double my chances for my work to finally reach to Oda in some way.
Unfortunately, I only have one copy of the document and I'm already set on sending it to the US division of Shonen Jump (Viz) since it's cheaper as I'm on a budget, plus I'm currently unable to make another copy due to my printer acting shitty at the moment.
However, if I ever do finally make a second copy, I'll definately send it to the Japanese division like I originally planned and if Greg is willing to help by then, that would be AWESOME! :)

So when you send it to Viz they pass it on to Oda because am assuming the goal here is for Oda to actually see it and the most likely fruit of your labor is for him to put them on the Volumes(perhaps Robin rokushiki corner or something like that) and the best outcome would be for him to actually use it in story, am I right? If so I really would advise you talk to CCC he did manage to bring RPG time to Oda's attention.

This post is deleted!

CCC seems online now, maybe just write him a personal message
-
Yep and maybe give us an update on what he says?

Close, but that would only be a bonus (a bonus that I doubt would happen but still) since my true goal is to simply see how he would react to the project (and if possible, to gain feedback from him). Also I already talked to CCC about a couple of months ago and he said that he doesn't have the time to translate a project this big. Honestly, I can't blame him. lol
Btw, I forgot mention this but, it took me two weeks to fully print out one copy due to being constantly worn out from the work at my job (the current store manager is a pain in the ass), plus the process of making sure that every thing is printed out neatly in an organized fashion without any flaws, not to mention the constant printing errors that I've mentioned before.
I currently don't have the energy, patience, or ink money to make another one. :(

I totally understand, you basically have one chance and one chance only at the present and you have to make sure you go with the best bet.
I had actually forgotten that he has to translate the entire thing. Anyway man good luck on whatever decision you make, I think its a really amazing fan effort and it needs more attention even from the general One piece community basically pimp the shit out of it.

Thanks for understanding! :)
I wish there is more I could do but I have to make due with the option that I have right now. :(
However, if Greg or whoever knows anyone over at Viz who can get this to Oda without all the hassle, that would be helpful too! Heh
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Anyways, now with this done, I can finally take a break from this project for a while and focus on my two other projects that I had abandoned for too long, one of them being the Huaquandao project! :D
-
The best thing to do would be to mail it to Shueisha's office. I can personally attest to the fact that Oda does indeed read every piece of fanmail (even if he doesn't understand it) so your best bet is to send it along to the address listed at the back of the Japanese volumes.

Are you serious!? I didn't think he would considering how much fanmail he gets everyday. :wassat:
Also, I thought Shueisha would only except fanmail written in Japanese if sent directly to their office. Hell, that's one of the main reasons why I planned on sending it to Viz in the first place (that and plus it's much cheaper).
Anyways, thanks for the info, Greg! :)

I imagine this is unique enough to raise some flags, even if he didn't. It's not every day you get an 180 page fan project that's as interesting as this.
-
I imagine this is unique enough to raise some flags, even if he didn't. It's not every day you get an 180 page fan project that's as interesting as this.
What I mean is that I didn't think he would read every single fanmail he gets considering how much fanmail he gets everyday.
Besides, I don't feel very comfortable in directly sending him a project this huge in a language that he can't read very well, which brings us to another reason why I thought sending it to Viz media was a safer option, just so that hopefully someone over there will take the time to actually translate it to Japanese. I know that's unrealistic wishful thinking but still.
-
I'll tell you right now, sending it to Viz will have very little effect and they certainly aren't going to send it anywhere. Sending it to the Shueisha office, he'll DEFINITELY see it. I've been to the Shueisha office, I know the people he works with, in fact, Oda's editor is now my editor for my monthly column. He's the same guy that sorts Oda's mail. Oda personally reads every fanmail but he DOES NOT RESPOND. If you send along an SBS question or an introduction, he may indeed mention the effort and/or include some commentary but don't expect him to write back.

Hmm, I see. Alright, in that case I'll sent it to them instead.
Btw, what's their mailing address again? I tried looking it it up but I kept getting different answers.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Nevermind, I found it!
Although, I must ask: does the mailing address have to be in actual japanese (as in kanjis) in order for the mail to be sent to the exact destination?
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
I'm talking about this address btw:
Post 101-8050
Tokyo-shi, Chiyoda-ku, Hitotsubashi 2-5-10
Shueisha Shuukan Shounen Jump Editorial Dept.
Oda EiichirouCan I leave it like this or does it have to be in kanji to be sent to the correct destination? Sorry but I just don't want to fuck this up by having it being sent to the wrong location.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Nevermind again, just found out that english alphabet letters are just fine. -_-
God, do I feel like a dumbass right now! Guess I'm just so nervous that I didn't bother to check around the web first.
sigh I need a drink. -_-
-
Well it's done! It has finally been sent!
Now all there is left to do is kick back and wait to see what happens. In the meantime, I got a little surprise for you guys in the Huaquandao thread which will be posted in a little bit! :)

Update 3/9/13:
I decided to do one more update to the movelist before taking a break from it and moving on to other projects.
First, the icons:
Icon Legend:
(OB) = Uses the replicas of her limbs sprouted out of the surface of her body.
(OS) = Uses the replicas of her limbs sprouted out of surfaces of non-living things (like walls, floors, ceilings, or items).
(OAB) = Uses the replicas of her limbs sprouted out of the surface of another body (or other bodies).
(OA) = Can optionally be used solely by replicas sprouted out of any surface without the need of using any of her real limbs for the technique, which opens up a WHOLE new set of options when fighting against opponents in long range combat, taking out enemies in a strategic manner, counter attacking while defending against attacks simultaneously, easily overwhelming opponents who constantly defend a lot, or when defending bystanders/allies/items from incoming attacks from enemies. So one can imagine how useful this tactic is if used in conjunction with Kenbunshoku Haki!
(M) = Can be used in Mankai Bushin form
(N) = Can be used in Normal Form
(W) = Require to be in Wings Form to use
(S) = Require to be in Spider Form to use
(T) = Can be incorporated with the aspects of Shigan "Thorn" (Shigan section only)
(H) = Can be used with Bosushoku Haki
(HO) = Can only be used with Busoshoku Haki (or requires Busoshoku Haki to use)
(C) = Cuerpo Fleur compatible (as in "Her clones can also use this technique")
(RC) = Requires Cuerpo Fleur (as in "Requires clones to use")Now for the techniques:
- Mil Balle Fleur "Shiryusei: Ryūsei-gun" (Finger Meteor: Meteor Shower)(HO)(M)(OS) - Simply a more extremely powerful of Amebakudan (Raining Bombs) that is empowered with Busoshoku “Koka”!
- Dos Mil Balle Fleur "Kami no Shigan: Omega Shibakudan"(Omega Finger bomb) (HO)(M)(OS) - A Juushigan technique that is powerful enough to annihilate an entire island. This is Robin's most powerful shigan as well as the most dangerous, one that Robin only uses as a last resort.
- Kaika Shigan Kenpo “Medusa’s Wrath” (C) (M) (H) (OB)(OA) – Similar to Shigan Ouren, but with a whooping 11 arms (with 10 arms on the same side as the regular arm that she is attacking with).
- ??? "Octopus Wrath" (HO)(M)(OB) - A very powerful rushdown attack that is similar to Kaku's Geriken (Imperial wrath) where Robin sprouts multiple arms (all planted to both sides of her) and legs (With two planted beneath Robin and two planted on both sides of her actual legs) and uses Busoshoku Koka, Rantou, and Shimangnamu with all limbs (with the exception of the two legs underneath her that are used to move her towards her opponent) as she attacks her enemy multiple times while advancing towards him in high speeds!
I'll add the two remaining illustrations later this month!
-
Officially, Oda is sick this week, so that´s why there is no chapter but the real reason is that he saw what you had sent, so he needs time to think how to incorporate Robin using Rokushiki skills into the story
-

But in all seriousness, I highly doubt that's the case since I'd sent the project to him exactly a week ago before the announcement and if I remember correctly, it would take 6 to 10 days for it to reach Japan and finally after arriving at Shueisha's office, it would've been at least a week before Oda even sees it, making it a total of 13 to 17 days before ending up in Oda's hands (unless there had been a change in the postal system that I have not heard about yet).
Still, I won't lie. The timing of this event seems a little too….odd to say the least (as in too awkward to be a coincidence).
-
Quick update:
I made some corrections with the description of Omega Shibakudan due to posting the description of the normal Shibakudan by accident:
A more powerful version of Shibakudan, empowered with the aspects of Busoshoku "Koka". This version is so powerful that not only it can annihilate an entire island like a normal Shibakudan would, it also can cause a crater underwater with the surrounding force of the impact!
sigh I hate rushing stuff.
-
Update 3/23/13:
Added the first of the remaining two illustrations that was originally from the 180-page document of the Rokushiki Robin project that I made and sent to Oda about over two weeks ago.
!
! Jūnikougan (Twelve queen gun) - In this technique, two Robins (one in front of the enemy on and one behind him) will unleash a Rokukougan simultaneously on both sides of the enemy.
! Illustrated by Magion02 using the rough sketch of the technique that I drew last year : http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/118/a/0/rokushiki_robin_concept_6_by_shinjojin-d4xvj50.jpgI'll add the second one later.
-
Update 4/2/13:
As promised, here's the second illustration!
!
! Kaika Geppo "Oshiage" (Blooming Moon step "Boost") - While performing Geppo, Robin will sprout a various number of legs in the back of one of or both her normal ones, then jumps off the air with all legs simultaneously, which in return, if done correctly, enables her to jump into further distances then a normal Geppo. The speed and distances she travels depends on the number of legs used.
! Illustrated by both CCann and me using this rough sketch that I drew:
!
! It should be noted while she illustrated the 4 panels, I’m the one who did the dialog, added the flower petals, and arranged the order of the panels. -
Hey guys.
Well, some of you may have noticed a question with a link in my sig and wondered "what was that all about?". Well it's time that I give a more detailed explaination that I left out in the tumblr post.sigh Where do I begin with this?
OK, as some of you out there may already know, I have three big reasons for why I started the Rokushiki Robin project: The first was to test out my creativity to see how far I can go. The second reason was to see what it would be like if Robin (or any Hana Hana user in general) were an absolute master of Rokushiki. And finally the third reason was to see how many techniques can be created with the combined power of the Hana Hana fruit, Rokushiki, and (As of 2010) Haki.
However, I have gradually gained other reasons over the years which I have not mention before and one of them being this: To inspire and encourage fanfic writers, fan artists, and role-players to portray Robin (or whoever is the reprsentative Hana Hana user in their fanwork like an OC or whatever) as a Rokushiki user (and not just an average user, but as a very versatile and creative user that truly DEFINES and displays what the combined might of both the Devil Fruit and Rokushiki abilities is capable of when both powers are used in perfect unity, including the use of creative technique names instead of just plain "multiple shigan" and such) in their fanwork and role-plays without the fear of backlash, dishonoring her character, or whatever that's keeping them from attempting so. And so far, it's not working very well (although I did recently had two fanfic writers come up to me ask if they can use some techniques from my project for their work so I guess that's a good start). :(
It still saddens me to this day that no one has even bother to TRY an attempt to go the distance with this concept (or concepts similar to this) like I did with my project. And before you even ask, yes I do have a fanfic that was for the sole purpose of displaying the capabilities of the combined form of both abilities in a story and show everyone how much it can work if done right. But to be honest, the more I think about it, the more I come to realize how lousy my story telling skills really are due to my favoritism towards Robin which can lead to a lot of bias in the story which is why I required assistance or better yet, why I prefer someone who is very talented at fanfic writing to make such an awesome story rather than me.
sigh Maybe I just kept expecting too much which is not a good sign. :(
-
Hello dear watchers, it's me again.
I'm here to announce that I'm going to end the hiatus earlier then I planned and go back to working on this project as well as my second one. Now after some consideration, I have come to realize that in order to make the project enjoyable again, I decided to start doing live broadcast (aka live streams) of me working on my projects, weather it be writing down new ideas, making rough sketches, or updating the movelists directly so my viewers can interact with me and help me out during the process, as well as to discuss other stuff.
Once I have made the preparations, I will announce the schedule of the first broadcast and see where it goes from there. If it's successful, I will do more live streams in the future. :)
-
Ok, everything is almost ready guys!I should be ready to do a live stream by Saturday. In the meantime, I'm currently making a promo trailer for the livestream to show what moveset projects I'll be showing in the stream!
Stay tuned for it! :)
-
sigh I apologize for not streaming saturday like I promised. I was so worn out from my job plus I had a couple of chores to do. However, I'm gonna make up for by putting the trailer aside for now and go straight to the doing the livestream tonight at 7pm Central time. As for what projects I'm gonna be showing you all for the stream, I'll let you all know later.
-
Alright everyone!!
https://new.livestream.com/accounts/3984086/events/2134789
The first livestream starts in 15 minutes! :D
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Stopped the live stream for now since no one showed up. :(
I’m gonna try again later. -
Alright everyone, I'm going to be streaming again Friday at 9:00pm EDT.
Hopefully things will go well this time.
-
Ok, I've been working the schedule for how the livestream will proceed. Here's the schedule of the stream:
First, the Friday night stream schedule:
1st hour - The Nico Robin: Rokushiki project with some technique idea writing and rough sketching.
2nd hour - The God hand Olivia moveset (A beat'em up-style moveset) project with some technique idea writing and movelist updating.
3rd and final hour - The reveal of a new beat'em up-style "what if" moveset for a character from a "Brodacious" remake of a classic beat em up game and then some random shit.
Now here's the saturday 12pm stream schedule:
1st hour - A fighting game style moveset for a KOF character that I was going to do a MUGEN project on years ago but never went through with it.
2nd hour - The Shizuru Kuwabara: Reikibuki style project with weapon idea writing and rough sketching.
3rd hour and after - whatever comes to mind.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I'm live now!
C](http://www.livestream.com/themovesetprojectseries?t=139529)ome on in!
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!
Livestream is screwing up on me! I think it must have something to do with my connection.
I'm gonna try again in a little bit.
-
I seriously want to apologize to everyone about the stream malfunctioning yesterday. However I did some hard drive cleaning so it should be ready this time.
-
Ok guys, I'm going to try to do another test stream again soon. If it doesn't work, I'm going to switch to Ustream or something.
-
Update 6/23/13:
Due to the need of more space for future additions and changes, I have moved the entire movelist to Google Document. Go to the link in the first post to see it there.
Now for some new move additions to the Shigan and Alt. forms sections!
- Mil Balle Fleur “Supaiku Fīrudo” (Spike Field) (M)(H)(T)(N)(OS) - A more superior version of Cien Balle Fleur "Teishou" where Robin uses a “shigan” variation of Campo de Flores (Flower field)!
- Cien Fleur “Demon Wing” (N)(M)(OB)****(C) - While in “Wing” form, Robin hardens both wings with Busoshoku “Koka” so she can use them as shields to defend against attacks, as well as use them to attack her opponents with! (Credits to KGB Robin from the One Piece Bay forums who came up with this awesome concept!)
-
Minor update:
Remember the notes that say "(illustrated/rough sketched by ???) at the end of the descriptions of the techniques (the ones that have links to illustrations and rough sketches)? Well I decided to bold those parts to make it more clear so that everyone will know who drew what just to avoid further confusion since there are still people out there that think that I drew ALL the artwork to this project which is NOT true had they took the time to read the credits after each technique description.
-
Another livestream coming soon guys! This time with me just drawing rough sketches. As for when, I will post the time once everything is ready. :)
-
Hey everyone, I got some bad news and some good news.
The bad news is that the stream is gonna be delayed for a while due to work issues. I swear to god, I really hate my job, Ugh! However, the good news is that I have took the time this weekend to make a small video to help myself get back into video making and I've decided to share it with you guys. Now I will admit that there some things in this video that could've been done better as I'm still trying to get the hang of using different visual effects.
Enjoy!
-
I just stumbled across this project…just letting you know it's absolutely amazing.
-
I just stumbled across this project…just letting you know it's absolutely amazing.
Thanks!
That means a lot to me tbh. ^_^

Update 11/5/13:
Even though I'm currently focusing on a new project (an original project called "The Five Legged Divas" project), as well as going back into practicing my drawing skills, I still do update the Rokushiki Robin movelist, just not as much I as use to. Anyway, despite not being able to add these to the document right now since I'm not on my PC at the moment, here are the moves that are going to be added later:
Oni Shigan kenpo (HO)(TO)(M)(OA)(C) - Simply Shigan Kenpo with the aspects of Shigan Bara (with all fingernails longer and sharper thanks to Seimei kikan) and Busoshoku "Koka". This makes the fingers (or hands) look like they're truly hands/fingers of a demon!
Kaika Oni Shigan Kenpo (HO)(TO)(M)(OA)(C) - Simply Kaika Shigan Kenpo with the aspects of Shigan Bara (with all fingernails longer and sharper thanks to Seimei kikan) and Busoshoku "Koka". This makes the fingers (or hands) look like they're truly hands/fingers of a demon!
Kaika Rankyaku "Fujin no ha: Full moon cut" (OS)(H)(N)(M) - A more devastating version of Fujin no ha where Robin, after creating a giant leg made out of at least over 1000 limbs, all bloomed out the top of a building instead on the side of it, rotates the giant leg in a full clockwise circle, creating a giant air blade that cuts the whole area in all directions rather than just in one direction, similar to Kaku's Amane Dachi!
-
How did the Oda thing work out? Got any response? Iirc, you sent in this whole project in paper form or something like that.
-
Nope, haven't gotten a response yet. :(
And I've sent project in paper form since I can't send it to the JP division of Shonen Jump by email.
-
Update 3/8/14:
Made some changes to the description of Belle Fleur, as well as adding a new technique in the Tekkai section, one that debuted in the second chapter of my Shadow Blossom fanfic under a different name:
Belle Fleur (Flower Bullet in french) - A technique where Robin uses her DF arms instead of her original arms to execute Shigan techniques. However, this move can also be utilized in conjunction with shigan techniques that uses her real arms.
Tetsuhana/Kongouhana "Dai Kinsenjun" (Great Marigold Shield) - A more powerful and tougher version of Tetsuhana: Kinsenjun that uses five hundred arms instead of twenty arms.
BTW, this thread has reached over 50,000 views!! AWESOME!!! ^_^

Hi, I just wanted you to know that your project, apart from being amazingly awesome (and still I did not have the time to go across all of it since I discovered your link this morning) had really enlighten my day. I always wanted to do the same with all the strawhats characters and specially Robin since it's my favourite OP character too. Unfortunetely I had not the skills neither the time to do it. It's a pity I joined AP forums so lately and missed the flow of your work since the start.
So man thanks a lot for it, I aslo imagined some techniques for her and the other strawhats but mostly related to her DF. Well I was also impressed you were able to send your work to Oda, I hope, he answers you some day or give a you a feedback, sadly, I don't think Oda is making from this character a proper fighter, and it's quite sad since her fruit have endless possibilities, hope that Oda would be inspired by your project, I trully want to.
Great job man, you made my day
Ps: Sorry for my english

Btw, I'm quite intersted in hearing your rokushiki ideas for robin and the rest of the strawhats. :)

Quick update:
I went and fixed the Image url of the title card. Also, expect some more rough sketches soon.
