SO how's the game guys ?
I can't play it , busy and broke I am.
The japanese ad is creepy. They want Japanese to become Lolicoms.

Shut up.
ATTENTION: The next two hours, I'm watching a horror movie with my sister. I've left my game on, so if you send me any match requests, I won't be responding for a little while. I will be up a bit later today.
Okay, now my so far opinion on this game:
! I will say that so far, it is a bit underwhelming, namely since I haven't been online, have only played Very Easy on Arcade, and have only played with my douchebag brother-in-law, halfway decent sister, and video game reluctant second sister. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't having fun.
! Okay, characters!
! X-23 - I have to mention her first. Holy fucking shit, is she powerful! Both me and my sister found her to be amazing. She's a real thorn in characters who focus on projectiles. She may not be amongst my major three, but she'll be in one of my other two teams.
! Phoenix - Yeah, she's fragile. But her projectiles pack a fucking punch!
! She-Hulk - I like her, but I have the hardest time setting up her attacks. Though her attacks are powerful. Hate her ultra combos. Seriously, why make an ultra combo that requires additional attacks.
! Zero - Good, but my God does he have shitty health. Why is his health such pure shit?
Sentinel is a mother fucker in this game. I mean, he was in MvC2, but here…damn! With that said, I've been playing with a Chris, Zero, Sentinel team and am really enjoying the game as a whole so far.
My only real gripes are that the online is kind of meh. Where are all the features from Super? I mean, even if they only borrowed Super's Custom Match stuff where you can actually pick who you want to play, I would be happy; but, of course, no dice.
What's a good stick to invest in? I have seen a lot brands out there… The only I'm not looking at is MadCats due to my bad history with their awful controllers.

Their Tournament Edition sticks are awesome, I'm sure everyone else will tell you the same. I've been playing on one for maybe a month and am loving it, no issues with any of the hardware thus far.
From what I understand, the cheaper model sticks MadCats did don't hold up as well though unfortunately.
The two big ones for beginners are MadCatz and Hori.
By the way, the fight sticks from MadCatz are widely seen in the fight game community as their grand redemption of their poor products in the past. In fact, many tourneys most people use the MadCatz SFIV TE stick.
The game IS underwhelming, online SUCKS, and Sentinel is "overbroken" in this game.
Only "Marvel vs. Capcom 3 2.0" can save this series now.
You should just stop now. It's embarrassing.
The fuck?
You think I'm lying to you nigga? I don't got to lie to you about shit.

I completely agree with you man, but that doesn't mean I'm not loving the hell out of the game. I'm almost hoping that after all the shit clears by the end of the year we get a Super version. I can already hear the groans but I wouldn't complain.
Got the game today, and I fucking love it.
Sentinel's a piece of shit. I mean, seriously..
And I'm still trying to get the hang of using Amaterasu.
The reasonable complains are there and I refuse to just let the shittyness just float by.
The game isn't all that hot and deserves the "B" grading it gets.
Anyone who thinks Sentinel is broken hasn't used Arthur against him.

I'm guessing so far, it's been underwhelming for you, Sarus? I looked at past posts in this thread, and you were really gushing over this game, but now that it is in your hands…
So yeah, i waz just on arcade when i was challenged by someone,
Lost 8 times in a row…
However, every single match, I killed the guys Akuma with Felicia...lol worthy...
Anyone who thinks Sentinel is broken hasn't used Arthur against him.
Let me guess, Arthur is the new Storm?
Oh wait, an ignorant MvC2 hater wouldn't know what that mean.

I still hate the control scheme and now it aches my wrist. lol
I originally said it was noob-friendly, and it is.
I think this game won't live as long as MvC2, but it's up to SMvC3. lol
In short:
I was super hyped in the beginning (100+ characters!), hype died (control scheme?! 40 characters?!) for a long time, hype? (obvious Spider-Man was revealed) [intermission] (Gouki was revealed) Hype!/Bought! (Played it before launch) X-Factor Hype! (Launch day shenanigans) Fuck this game… (plays MvC2)
Got my reserve copy today, I have 4 days off work, I have never played the marvel vs. capcom series seriously before., everyone of my friends with a ps3 has this game plus a 24 hour head start.
My team is X-23/Dante/(Storm or Zero)
GO
I do have a kind of ignorant question for the people that know their shit around here, which is just about everybody but me. I've been playing on the SFIV TE stick with the default control setting. Is that smart or is it all about preference? Just wondering if there's a better way I should be going about it.
Oh my god I have no idea what I'm doing with Wesker… Though I do know what I'm doing with Tron, and my word is she great…!
Also, I've noticed I seem to have an odd psychological disadvantage when Dormammu's not on my team. I dunno, it's like I need him.
I'm kinda surprised to see that you picked up Tron, She doesn't seem like the character thats really "you" (although you obviously know what you're doing with her).
I'm calling it a night, but GGs Shmeckie.
Next time I should be able to actually talk as I bought a bluetooth headset (it has to charge up for a while, so I couldn't use it right then and there).

Purely preference.
Although if you want to know the traditional set-up, it would be the three buttons on the top row representing light, medium, and strong attacks in order and the first button on the bottom row being special.
You guys are making me happy I didn't spend the money for a PS3 to get the game.
Don't mind all the whining in here, if it looks fun to you (and trust me, it is) get it. Dunno if I'd recommend buying an entire system for it, but if you got the money, go for it.
I've had more time with the game, but still feel that I can't accurately judge it, for the fact that I don't have a stick for my PS3. Playing this game with the PS3 controller is an absolute PAIN. It's taking me so long to do combos that are beyond dead easy with a stick. Hopefully I can find a stick this weekend, so I can actually enjoy the game.
I won't be able to fight online until I have a proper stick. The level of suck that I would bring with that PS3 controller would be off the charts. I wonder just how easy it would be to mod my 360 TE…

Listen, son.
If you want a sorta "fun" and "easy to pick up less than 15 minutes" fighter (kind of like Smash Bros.) then get it.
You want a serious competitive fighter? Ignore this shit.
KOFXIII and SFIII:3SO are dropping soon and then there's GGPO.

Yeah, I never had much success with using a controller for fighting games, either. So hard on the hands. The TE stick is probably one of the better console-related purchases I've made in my (gaming) lifetime. And this game really responds well to the stick too, smooth as silk. ^^
Anyhoo. I'm having such a great time. Still getting used to the game, though. My timing needs some work. :<
Also. Deadpool is really fun to play, but my god, how his catchphrases wear thin after a while. It's like they get in your head and echo.
Eh, I love playing this game with the controller. But that's just me XD
TE sticks are pricey O_o… Maybe I can get one used off ebay for cheap if I'm lucky.
I fine the controller fine as well, and I think the games fun, though Galactus is a little to easy on Very Easy…
I can't seem to do air combo's that well though.
Re- really…?
YeAnyhoo. I'm having such a great time. Still getting used to the game, though. My timing needs some work. :<
Yeah, the game definitely has its own unique rhythm that takes some getting used to.

PINEAPPLE SURPRISE!

Felicia and Sentinel are awesome! What pisses me off is some people are really spamming Iron Man and Chris with long range attacks over and over AND OVER.
Oh and "I'm the ghost of kick your ass!"
I love that game
Team name courtesy of my brother:
She-Hulk, Phoenix and Zero. - Team Green Boobs.
I hate Arthur.
Trying to main a Phoenix team since she is mucho funs to play with haha
Phoenix IS fun (and you'll get extremely butthurt once she's defeated ) and fuck Arthur.
I still think "power changing" Megaman would had been better.
Hu hu hu, got two people hating Arthur XD
I hated Arthur at first, though I did figure out how to get around him (particularly with Dormammu). I still find him really annoying, though.
He is projectile spam incarnate. Fuck Sentinel, that's the guy who kids are gonna think is broken.
Also Arthur wrecks Sentinel.
Hu hu hu, got two people hating Arthur XD
I don't hate him because "I find him cheap!" (Hell, my Wesker rapes Arthur) I just don't like him.

Wasn't mentioning you. Shmeckie and Toshiya were the two I played today.
Did you rape them good like a good boy?
Did you rape them good like a good boy?
Shmeckie and I are about equal grounds now while Toshiya gave me a good beating.
So I've noticed I have this odd habit online of randomly going "derp-a-derp" and forgetting how to play. One match I'll be comboing like a motherfucker, next match I'm… well, I don't even know what the fuck.
I know it's due to still learning the mechanics and all that, but it's still bizarre.

Honestly, that's something that happens to everyone. I don't really expect people to be 100% perfect on the stuff they can do. I can make a wonderful Pecan pie, but I have over cooked it at times. I'm sure that when you do learn all the mechanics, you'll have your "derp-a-derp" days.
My Hakan is quite nice, but I do have my moments when things don't work out at all XD
my god how long have I been playing this game nonstop. 6 hours I think. I feel cross-eyed.
Sorry I didn't participate in any online battles today guys, but I just wanted to spend today in Mission Mode, getting a feel for different characters. So far I've cycled through most of Capcom (plus Deadpool), played arcade mode, and unlocked Akuma in the process, but I still have a lot of ground to cover. Hopefully I'll be able to play online a bit tomorrow night. ^^

lol, same here. I'm so glad I'm not alone, makes me feel less inept.
I can make a wonderful Pecan pie
oho. Nice~
You got me to train ya, hun.
Sure babe, if you get your game tomorrow, let's do it. ^^
All night, yeah?
lol. Normally I'd say yeah, but I have an early class Thursday (as you should know by now), so I can't be up too late.
Save your stamina for Thursday night, ha.
Ah, yes ma'am~
