I am watching this.
You would think the animators have read the manga. If so why would they not show the general in the opening. He's not even in the last group shot.
I am definately picking this up.
Aside form any other factor, I enjoyed the first episode. It was fun and thrilling. And that's what matter at the end of the day.
Of course, there were cons to it. For example, filler, that started the episode instead of the true manga start. But overall fillers were handled pretty well - it shows what Pierrot can do best, huh. The quality of art and animation was quite weak, probably the only things that looked fine were the lightning effect and the fat outline given to characters to give them emphasis at certain scenes. Seiyu sounded pretty good and the soundtrack, beautuful, beatiful soundtrack felt amazing. Opening is golden, and the ending is ironic.
Not the perfect product, but enough to keep my interest for some time.

Yeah I wonder what they had in mind to not put him in the opening @_@ (it's like not putting zorro on the first opening of one piece).

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a set-up for a 4th wall breaking joke.
If Furuichi's absence is the only thing people complain about, the opening sure did great.
Where was the General's NO SPLITTING reaction? That was one of his best reactions.
Aside from that and the first half being some kind of odd filler, it was a pretty awesome first episode.
I liked it.
They did miss out on Oga's vision of the demon lord though.
Studio.
Pierrot.
Why they went with the guys that do Naruto and Bleach I will never know.
First episode fillers, I hear! I'll have to see the episode though before I make any final judgements.
Pierrot is actually doing an excellent job with Bleach anime. They made it likable, a huge difference from the original manga colorbook source.
Ogas voice sounds very similar to someone else I've heard. Even a bit like zoro at times, but not quite.
As for the first episode…..IT WAS BY FAR THE BEST ANIME I'VE SEEN IN A LONG WHILE!
The entirety of the whitebeard war was brushed aside the moment Oga destroyed that tower.

Oga is Kamina. .

Katsuyuki Konishi is doing Oga's voice. Ever heard of Kamina?
On the voice subject, I liked how casual did Demon King sound.
Has any subber already done Beelzebub?
Yes .
Download or stream?
Thanks, I liked the anime. Laughed a lot, I think that even the fillers will be good, at least I hope.
Just got done watching this. Baby Beel is adorable and strange to see furuichi in the episode yet not in the opening.
I liked it. Also it finally made me read the manga (which I'd planned to for a while now) and I really love that.
I guess I'll be the outcast and say that I found the anime adaptation to be pretty bad.
I say give it a few more episodes, so far there mixing filler and cannon which is absolutely stupid.
I think it will definitely get better, even though I thought the first episode was already decent.
It's just that the main issues I have with it so far doesn't seem to be ones that they'll fix. They took out the majority of the video game jokes, changed the jokes that they did keep where they're worded awkwardly, and changed Oga's personality from clueless idiot to evil and arrogant. I know that Oga is those two things in the manga, but it's not his prominent traits.
The special chapter is out on the chinese scan: http://manhua.178.com/m/mowangnaiba/14372-2.shtml

.
Tamura's Baby Beel is definetely better than the anime's Baby Beel.
Lol…why is the General included bowing on that pic. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Another decent chapter.
! The monkey reference had me in stitches.
! Oh god I loved that show.
Was this special chapter the actual chapter? cause that was rather dissapointing
It's a special chapter.

It's only an 'extra', the real chapter will be out yet.
Oh good, I seriously got worried there for a moment
! LOL @ Alaindegarde. It's a parody of Saiyuuki, with Beel as Goku.
And I think that chapter was released in Jump Next.
Chapter 92 is out. Chinese scan: manhua.178.com/m/mowangnaiba/14376-2.shtml
I lol'd at the way Oga found to break the stone.
Can't wait to read the scanlated chapter.
The ending is just priceless.
Himekawa is in this chapter! which means this chapter is the best one this year.
Oh shit!
The General is hitting it with the ladies!
Sanji dreams to be Furuichi some day.
Where do you guys read the new scanlated chapters? I've been out of the manga world for a few months now, other than whatever this guy (http://www.daniel-lau.com/) scanlates. XD
Today's episode was better than the last one, and I laughed at the gardener, he looks like Luffy.
! Next week Kanzaki will make his debut.
How's the pacing so far with the anime?
How's the pacing so far with the anime?
Well Episode 1 covered Chapter 1, but contained a fair bit of filler.
I'm not sure on episode 2 though.
I agree with G.A.G, Alain Delon's coming to the episode 2 was really good to the fun of the fillers.
Don't you just like his demonic expressions. They never get old.
I still can't find the translated version of this weeks anime or manga!
What a bitch .
