Like i said before, sorry if my posts came up as defensive but they're not and if i came out as i'm blowing off other people experiences, sorry that it came out like that but Im not blowing your experience off. Also, i didn't like that i got called a rat when im not affiliated with them in any way. Anyway, Let's just see what will happen to Toyslogic in the future ok? Im tired of explaining the same thing again and again.

Dragonxpiece careful you gonna get banned for the language. Wouldn't want that to happen then nobody can hear you opinions. Any ways constructive criticism is great.Helps us learn to be a better company. More power to those who can get a better deal and better shipping prices, that is totally understandable. I would do the same thing too. But I like to hear these opinions so that I can pass it along and fix things. But we do have a lot customers that have our back as well it seems that only the bad experiences get the most expression because of emotions running high on hate. We do value money, what company doesn't? LOL but we also value our customers thus we would have no business and just give things out for free. Only in a perfect world customers would get free shipping and figures for dirt prices that are 100% legit.

NGEunit01 is one our valued customers who can vouch for us. He is not somebody working for use. This guy knows his stuff and about figures and the Anime world. He is just a great customer, can't somebody be happy with us? Without getting negative
feedback. -

feedback.Yeah they can but not by disregarding other people's experiences. Fact is the company you work for has given a lot of bad service to the people who frequent these forums. Of course when someone asks about your company as a place to order figures from people are going to post their experience, good and bad. We've also heard that if your company is at a convention they're one of the booths you should definately go and check out.
The way you're handling things on this forum also speaks volumes about the company you work for both in good and bad ways.

I'll say a few things you could do that could rapidly increase your success rates.
-
DO NOT open pre-orders on items you aren't positive will be in your possession. We'd be fine if you just sold them for instant purchase once you had them in possession, but don't open pre-orders if you can't be sure you'll get the item.
-
DO NOT accept more pre-orders than the amount you're certain you'll be able to receive no matter how little the quantity is.
-
Get the new items in stock sooner. I don't know what you're doing for it to take 1-2 months but that's far too long. You're cruising for failure with a wait that long. Key concept here, time=money.
-
Certain items need their prices lowered by 10-20% or so. WCFs and other prize items are fine and well priced but certain items such as P.O.P seem to be overpriced.
-
Start accepting payment upon shipment with PayPal. I prefer only using PayPal and I definitely don't like paying up front if I know the company is unreliable.
-
Ship within 3 days and give us a proper shipping quote with accurate calculations. Don't give out this flat rate nonsense, I know that turns away Canadian customers because usually the shipping rate is really high for us in that case.
Simply put, don't waste our time and don't ask us to trust you and give you a chance if you aren't following methods like the ones I just said.
-
-
All valid points.. Xajen I will pass that down for you. Thanks for the input. There are some things this company does that others will never do. That shocked the heck out me when I first started there.
1. Hold items for customers so they can save on shipping, until another item arrives.
so they can have there order bundled in one shipment. This is especially huge for
customers who are overseas.
-That's something Toyslogic does that no other does to my knowledge
2.Also lowering customs values for customers to save a ton of money. Customers from
Canada and other countries down south most of the time ask for these type of things. Also Xajen I'm not asking anybody for trust. Just simply pleading our case and looking for input to correct problems.
-
amiami will hold your items to save on shipping as well ^_^;;
-
if the items are released in the same month, hobbysearch does that too …
and while I hate paying import tax on my items ... as a company you shouldn't lower custom values. it's one thing if you do that for private packages or if you sell only a few things ... but seriously, no matter how good it may sound for the customer, a company shouldn't do that. no serious company would do that. you may find it odd, but every country has laws which need to be observed. in business a company which doesn't even care for that is not exactly the best option to buy from. coz if a company cheats my country, why wouldn't they cheat me? seriously, the only reason you offer that 'service' is coz this is probably the only thing international customers like you for. and lets be honest .. that's unfair competition. a lot of people may not agree with me, but instead of breaking laws to keep customers, being reliable, fast and reasonable may do the same trick.

@Dragonxpiece hang in there buddy almost there lolI edrick, if i order an item (once i get mine) can you ship flat rate using usps? since the item fits on their priority flat rate boxes.
-
If you want it fast just go with Priority, if time is not a issue go with the flat rate
-
Edrick I have whitebeard and blackbeard on preorder with Toyslogic…Im counting on u guys
Also can u give us a heads up when Perona and Vista POPs will be available??
-
If you want it fast just go with Priority, if time is not a issue go with the flat rate
according to your site, for what i want to order , using the priority not flat rate priority would cost me $43
-
You can can't on us MonKey-D-DroOpY. Were going to get that for sure. Ill try to update
you when those come the Perona and Vista POPs come in. Dragonxpiece did you get your
package yet? Anyways $43 sounds like to much for a shipping fee… Whats the weight?
Ill let you know the price for that weight for shipping would be with that method. -

-
Yea, edrick, I'd say work on the shipping thing. Some of the rates are just plain silly LOL ^_^
-
edrick, could you answer this.. When ToysLogic lists a Banpresto prize item such as WCFs, DX, SQ, SDX, etc. or something from MegaHouse such as a P.O.P, especially the limited ones, do those companies give you word before you list them? Are you jumping the gun and listing them with the assumption you'll have the stock provided before it's confirmed by MegaHouse or Banpresto?
Like right now with those new P.O.P that are supposedly very limited and those new upcoming WCFs, did they tell you that you'll be provided with the stock and with a set number? Or are you just assuming like I previously stated? -
@Xajen, We can guarantee that the POP figures and a few other products made by Mega House because we are the distributor for MegaHouse. Everything else, its up to the supplier to give me what they have. We put in our orders in but its not guarantee we will get what we ordered. In the anime world, its common that Mfg cut production or release products in waves. It sort of make collecting figures more interesting don't you think?
-
Not really. It's interesting if they're rare and you have to hunt them down, not placing a reservation thinking you'll receive your item after months of waiting and end up with nothing.
You should just sell the prize items once you receive them like Play-Asia does with WCF. -
I understand your frustration, we share your frustration as well. Only in a perfect world we always get what we want…but not in this industry.
-
Maybe you guys should make a seperate topic , because you're kind of side tracking discusion on other people's stores/accounts .

No, we're not. This is all very relevant considering we're discussing a seller that's a bit shaky and unreliable.
-
Hey Edrick, Here's a suggestion for the boxes, add more protection to the sides since they take the most hit during shipping. I notice on Dragon's vid that one of the sides caved in.
-
glad my vids are useful lol

Just that there might be other things that people would maybe wanna bring up . All I'm saying is this seems to be hogging up the thread considerabely .

What exactly do you think this thread is for? We get a chance to talk to someone directly from ToysLogic who would be a candidate for the OP, we're going to take it as it's important and extremely relevant to the topic.
There's nothing to be hogged, the OP will be edited for the main information you seem to think is in the replies.

Well just got an e-mail from Toyslogic that Boa Hancock orders are cancelled.

As did I. I'm sorry edrick, but that was the first and last straw for me. I'll buy in stock stuff sometimes if the shipping rates are correct but I will never pre-order from TL.
-
hi sir edrick, i just want to ask about your 50percent discount..
if i buy this item for $65, then the next item for $50 will be $25 right?
then how about if there's a 3rd item <for example="" another="" $50="" item="">?i already read http://www.toyslogic.com/Christmas_special_2010.html..
and if the item is in-stock, there will be no problems right?like cancelling the orde etc..
ps: i know this shouldve been a pm, but maybe others would still like to know how their promo works..thanks :)</for>

if you as a company sell something, than goddamnit make sure you actually have that item! if you're not sure whether you can get a prize item, don't put it up for preorder. sell it if you actually received the item. you KNOW how it is with prize items. and they have always been hard to get.
gooood, statements like this kinda piss me off. I've been running a business too and I'd never even think of selling something which I may not even get. what kind of behaviour is that?
-
Keroro Gunsou the sale goes like this
item 1 full price
item 2 50%
item 3 full price
item 4 50%
and so forth they have to be in stock items and no special order items -

Totally.
As an aside, it's not as if you'll have a hard time selling the prize figures once you get them since they're in demand. Maybe you want people to know that you're an option for these rare figures or to determine the amount to import by the number of pre-orders, but I think you'd present a far better image if you'd simply list them on your site after your stock is confirmed rather than repeatedly dashing people's hopes and having them lose faith in your business. Rare figures like the Hancock DX are sought after anyway so you might as well maintain a steady image so people will remember you as an option.

From what I understand, the third item will have to have a corresponding item to get the discount.
Meaning, you want to order in multiples of even numbers. If you have four items, the top two priced items will be sold at the normal price, and the bottom two will be sold at half.
If you have three items, only the lowest price item will be sold at half, I believe.I'm about to place an order of over $200 at TL, since this discount will save me about $40 or so.

Pre-order item will be delivered after its release. Due to the nature of the character hobby industry, the release dates, prices and specifications of this kind of items are subject to change. Release cancellation may even occur.
Additionally, sometimes a manufacturer's shipment is reduced without prior notice.
As a retailer, we usually receive plenty of products to serve all orders.
Unfortunately, however, when the manufacturer's shipment is reduced by unforeseen happenstance, we may have to reduce or cancel orders.
Please keep these conditions in mind when ordering these pre-order items. -
Totally.

Maker cut production at last minute so there is nothing we can do. This Boa was a special game center item and we were able to get similar items in the past.
Pre-order is a show of interest that you want the item when our order is confirmed when it is released. It is subject to availability. That is why we do not ask for payment for pre-orders.

You're dodging the real question. Pre-order means reservation, not show of interest. You can't just bait us like fucking fish and mislead us thinking we have the item reserved. The "it's a limited prize item" excuse doesn't fly because no one else has canceled yet or jumped the gun on opening the orders.
And you do actually ask for instant payment for pre-orders, you don't offer delayed payment for PayPal. -

Please keep these conditions in mind when ordering these pre-order items.I know that .. however it seems that you put preorders for items up on your page even if you can't really get them at all. we're not talking about megahouse POPs, we're talking about banpresto's prize figures. the ones even shops like HLJ cancelled some weeks after they put the preorder up, since they knew they coudn't get them. coz they are prize items which are not meant to be sold at shops. they were fair, they gave their customers enough time to look for another way to get that figure for a normal price. yet you leave them up at your site and send cancellations out after the product is released which is like 4 - 5 months after people preordered it at your shop. to me it seems that you are just hoping to get these items and wait until the very last minute to dissappoint customers. again.
and I totally agree with xajen here. don't say it isn't a reservation when you expect people to pay upfront. yes, not everyone has a credit card.
-

-
I am sorry that I did not use the correct term, I will use "reservation" if that is the preferred term.
Sorry we cannot speak for other shops. They probably don't want to wait and see so they cancel the order to avoid hassle like this.
The bottom line is that anime merchandises are driven by pre-orders, and you should use the guideline provided above. If you disagree with it, you should consider not placing a pre-order and wait for an item to be released. Then you can try to locate one if its not sold out yet.
There is no bait. If you cannot handle the disappointment that an item may be cancel due to unforeseen event, such as maker cut production, stay away from pre-orders. When we place an item for pre-order on our site, we have reliable sources for them, otherwise we would not put it up on our website. Most of the time, average figures will have no problem coming through. When an item becomes popular and has high demand the chances of shortage in supply becomes high so the situation with Boa occurs. We offer many limited and rare items and most of the times are requested by our customers and we are able to pull through. Boa is just one instance that we were not able to make it happen and we apologize for that, but that is just the nature of this anime figurine business. If you have the chance you should try to run a Japanese figure business like ours and maybe you will be more understandable. This is an industry that is driven by the demand of pre-orders.
We are always put trust on our suppliers that we can get all the products we order because it comes through 95% of the time. The other 5% are for items with contingencies. if you want to take the chance with us, we are more than happy to keep your reservation on the list. When everything follow through and we get our figures. I will make sure the you get your order in the mailbox.
I have provided guidelines and a few other things you should keep in mind when you make your decisions in the future about pre-orders and the nature of the business. One more thing, you should consider reading all store policies both domestic and international. They usually give you a good idea what you can expect.
Please leave all the details of how to run our business to us, we really appreciate all your comments and suggestions. Please move on. There is Nami in Swimsuit to look forward to.
