@blue-san:
Ok my thoughts on the chapter:
Not so good. The pacing seemed lightning speed as they would face one monster after another with than two typical shounen to the rescue in a row as first the Sea Giant and afterwards the Karaken saves their asses.
To top it all the vulcano is about to erupt.
It was a pretty short chapter….do you want a long drawn out battle ? Or did you want another 3 year separation while the crew searches for Luffy/Zoro/Sanji underwater. As for the rescue thing your just being overly critically.
It is not just that the events took place one after another, the feeling was as if it all happened in less than 10 minutes and they would travel not more than a couple hundred meters in that time, so although the pacing was fast I didn't feel like they made any progress at all.
How far do you want them to travel? Once again you're being overly critical. The pace is fine and the concept of time in OP is hard to follow until we get a log pose set. I don't think they're going to be underwater for htat long anyways.
Didn't like the constant panic reactions of the crew either. I mean ok it's fine if Usopp and Chopper scream here and there for the gag, but jesus christ you have trained for two years and all you can do is scream in situations like these, I don't know perhaps I am getting tired of it since I am expecting them to overcome their mental block and start to man up more and perhaps I am expecting too much and their characters will never change that much, although it is not like I want them to be fearless, just that I would rather see them express concern not panic every freaking time.
Thank god for Robin and Franky being more cool about the whole thing.
So wait you're telling me that the crew being in a situation without the monster trio they're constantly being attacked to just have no emotional reaction and just be there…Like is this a joke ? You're expecting way to much and being overly critical.
Other than that I enjoyed the designs of the fishes and marine life, the flying dutchman looked great, however I did not like the goofy like design of the sea Giant although I get it, it is there to fit his personality and it seems like they all are simple minded and similar looking together with San Juan Wolf who "evidently" is one of them.
Glad you liekd something from the chapter…whatever.
Am also fearing that the design of Van der Decken and his crew will not live up to fearsome reputation but would rather look somewhat comic, which again I should be used to by now from Oda, it is just that if thats the case, I am afraid I take the villains less seriously from starters and it dents the experience/feelings I could have felt while reading
I'll disagree with this. If Oda wants to make Van der decken badass he will. We haven't even seen what they look yet and you're already fucking complaining ?Give me a fucking break.
Oh yeah like the fact that Franky was able to figure out where Caribou is and deduce he is a logia.
Really, you like that fact….. w/e
Here is that, didn't really enjoy this last(606) chapter to tell you the truth I even paused while reading to go and clean some things up in my house (which I don't remember doing ever before, but I guess I just wasn't so hooked about it to be hungry for another page like I normally am.)
What a surprise. I didn't think you're blog complaining about the chapter was enough evidence. You just had to tell what you did to further prove your dislike for the chapter….we get it buddy....
A bugger what more to say from my side, hope the rest have enjoyed it though
We did however, I don't think many enjoyed your fucking blog about how much you hated the chapter. Such meaningless non sense I swear.
