@Oga:
Even Daryl? Why eerie!? Why!?
Well, okay. Daryl's okay. But it's more because all the other characters make him look much better than he would be if he was being stacked up against some actual personality.

But….but......yeah that's pretty much true.

D'awwww.
The more I read this thread the more I feel like I'm one of the few that enjoys the show as a whole. Daryl is my favorite by far…Er well okay he's the only character I like. Well no Glen too sometimes. But I find the story interesting. And how the characters deals with what's being thrown at them. Aside from a good chunk of characters making really bad decisions I really enjoy it. Also why is T-Dog so useless?
Damn't, I thought the bump meant someone had a preview or something, SHIT.

I second this.
Also, T-Dog is useless because Tyreese and Michonne are coming (most likely) so there sadly needs to be a bumbling African-American that eventually gets killed.

I wouldn't exactly consider Hello Kitty "moe", but that is still adorable. I'm guessing a fan made that for him?
Less than 24 hours, woot!
I'm really hoping that this half of the season is better than the last. It definitely looks like things will be picking up for the most part.

Steven Yeun was on Attack of the Show the other day and he acknowledged the pacing complaints of the first half stating "It had a point, but things are going to really pick up now."
Ok, mid season is about tos tart finally! Wohooo!
Watching it now and about halfway through the episode, and…
! I'm sorry, but that's totally Lori's fault and I had to laugh a bit. Look at the road and maybe you won't hit a zombie and go off it and flip the car.
Okay, that was quite awesome.
@Johnnay: Yeah, I literally said "Dumbass" out loud. So damn predictable it became comedy.
Good episode, interesting seeing all the fallout from the barn massacre. Looks like everything is setting up for the second half of this season.
The writers were spot-on with their depiction of people from philly.
Damn that was a good episode. Loved the ending. Rick drew his gun so fast that I didn't even see it.
Also, it pains me to say it, but Shane makes so much sense it isn't even funny.
Does Lori just exist to complain and cause drama like…getting preggers during the zombie apoc or sending your husband to find a guy and then going after your husband to tell him what he already knows knowing it won't really change the situation at all. She is extremely irritating and i hope for the sake of the show she's dead.
But all in all that was a pretty nice comeback. They didn't linger too long on the sophia thing and thank god for that cause we spent half a season mourning her already. The final scene was just great, the perfect way to shoot a scene like that. But why didn't glenn at least have his gun drawn. That fat guy could've easily blasted Rick in the back if he wasn't so fat and slow. Great back up Glenn.
Not sure if they can keep this kind of momentum but if they can this could be a great second half.
Because it's Glenn. He's never been a fast reactor, but that whole situation occurred within 2 seconds flat. Rick had that shit before anyone could process a reaction. Strangely enough, that scene made me even more fearful of what Shane can do.
Well and also Glenn is probably used to killing undead, but not living people. I actually had to rewatch that scene cause I didn't notice the guy pulling out his gun first. Which made me go "Whoa! Wtf Rick?!" Then I was all confused about Hershel being calm. Made more sense when I was fully paying attention lol.
And God…Lori. How stupid can you be? There are no women in this show that aren't getting on my nerves. Well...Carol is okay.
Im not buying that fast reaction stuff. You have two unknown armed guys and hostile situation that's increasingly getting more hostile. He should've at least had his gun at the ready, at his side, something, specifically for the reason that anything could've happened. What happened to the street smart kid we met in Atlanta who knew what he was going. His trait used to be quick thinking an fast reaction. But that could be an entirely different topic.
Street smart kid who we met in Atlanta is a pizza delivery boy, and quick thinking doesn't automatically make you ready to handle that sort of tense situation involving other people(not zombies) who he just met and weren't even openly hostile to them in the beginning. Hell, they had just shared a drink while having small talk before it suddenly escalated. He should've been ready, but it's not like he's ever been shown to be as cool under stressful situations as some of the other members of the team(he's had his moments, but he's not mr. cool-under-pressure all the time), so he was understandly overwhelmed with what was going on considering who he is and what he's experienced.
All that said, Rick would've been better off with someone else for backup.
Rick's draw was great. _
And God…Lori. How stupid can you be? There are no women in this show that aren't getting on my nerves. Well...Carol is okay.
The writing for the women characters…could use some work. I like Carol, and in general Andrea and Maggie but it's up and down for those two at times, for me. Lori just makes me crazy ugh.
Carol just cries a lot. She doesn't even have a personality to like.
The others annoy me so much that Carol's lack of a personality is a plus, for me. :D
Personally, I would have left the dude there. Like Otis, he'd be good walker bait.
Gah, Lori is just making me hate her more and more.
@LUFFY#1:
Gah, Lori is just making me hate her more and more.
She has worse corrupting logic than Emperor Palpatine.
Yeah, I'm really not liking her all that much. But it was a pretty good episode.
! There's no way I would have left the guy behind if I had any other choice, though. I wouldn't have tried to cut off the guy's leg since that'd take too long, and I wouldn't want my leg cut off if I was in that situation, but I'd definitely pull his leg free and help the guy to the car.
! Don't see a problem with dropping the guy off somewhere after he's all healed up.
When are the people getting off the stupid farm….im sick of the location....
Well, the preview did show a prison, so hopefully soon.
you mean the season 2 part B trailer, or maybe next episode?
Watched the first season it was fantastic. Waiting for the rest to be on netflix.
Shit, very end of the episode got cut off because it went over time. Don't care if it was just Rick and Lori talking, gotta record a rerun.
sigh I really don't like Lori. I think at this point the only people more useless in their group is her son and T-Dog.
I don't know how I feel about Glen's reasoning. I thought he was typically one of the more cautious people of the group, not really a "risk" taker aside from the well incident. He kinda gets voluntold to do weird things.
! I keep expecting Daryl and Carol to make out lol. They have odd conversations.
I feel like Shane as been pretty on point with al his reasoning so far even if he goes about it in an explosive violent dangerous way, he's still the one who sees the situation for what it really is. But this war thing sounds completely unreasonable. I mean they did blindfold the guy and if they're going to let him go on the highway theres no guarentee his friends will even find him and if they do find him they'd have to organize quite a search through a lot of dangerous areas to figure out the way to the farm. They seemed pretty intent on moving on as quickly as possible.
A war? I dunno that sounds like something idiotic that lori would say when she's being awful, not Shane.

They've got a weird kind of tension in their scenes, which kind of freaks me out a little because I also get mother/son vibes from them aaaah.
I didn't see the next episode preview so I went and watched the talking dead on youtube, it was hilariois, and the preview….looks like theres going to be more action.
I remember a couple weeks before the 2nd part of season 2 came back there was some place that said the summary of each episode. I suppose those werent true

I know, gah it's so odd.
@ Taggerung: Yeah Shane is technically correct for the most part, but like Andrea said, he needs to work on his people skills. And also not fixate on Lori so much…
Rick is reckless in that he wants to do the right thing, and that's not really the best for everyone sadly. I'm just glad he's not actively trying to dick over people.
And also not fixate on Lori so much…
Agreed. I mean I know people have different tastes, but Lori is…not really worth him losing his mind over in my opinion. Her personality is not that mindblowing. But I guess she's pretty in a sort of bony way. Daryl's "Olive Oly" comment cracked me up.

It's so weird because before they even introduced her, I felt she was a terrible person. First episode where Rick is telling Shane what Lori said to him in front of Carl. I was like dude, this chick is awful. I was actually a little surprised that she wasn't cheating on him before that Zombies. I don't find her attractive. She is too skinny, but Steven said she works out, in one of the Talking Dead episodes…So I dunno, maybe she needs more protein.
I feel bad for survivors of a Zombie outbreak. The choice in partners really goes downhill.

I couldn't deal with Lori after she complained that Rick wasn't arguing with her enough or that he was too reasonable or whatever she was talking about, in that one flashback. I mean I can get it if was her round-about way of wanting more passion in her relationship (in a really stupid way) but jeez lady if a reasonable husband bothers you that much, dump his ass and find someone crazier. Ugh.
But yeah. It isn't like they've got a whole lot of options left. XD

I could rant forever on how much Lori bothers me. I don't know what her purpose is other than to create more of a hinderance for survival in the future.
I feel really bad for Carl lol. When he grows up, there's even less options.
Spoilers for Season 3;
! David Morrissey will play The Governor for Season 3.
! Also Spoilers for next episode
! It's not a prison, it's a school. Shane and Rick fight a bit arguing to kill the kid now or later, Rick almost dies, Shane almost dies, they decide to kill the kid eventually.
@Danial, I feel like even with that kind of stuff happening next episode, the show will find a way to make it crawl and be boring as hell.
That's my favorite episode since the show has returned, maybe of the whole season.
! Personally, I'm really glad Rick went back for Shane. It was a bit heartbreaking to see him leave his (best)friend behind like that, so yeah, I'm glad he did come back for him. Everyone who was in the episode had their moment, including Lori for awhile, so I do think it was pulled off better than usual.
Very good episode tonight, I liked the parallels with Rick and Shane, and with Lori and Andrea.
I would actually let the kid stay, it wouldn't hurt having another pair of hands on the farm.
Man, Lori had the 1950's housewife mindset tonight.
And yeah probably the best episode of the season, beating out Save The Last One.
I wish you guys had spoilered your stuff. The episode hadn't aired yet where I was T_T.
! I really liked this episode. It actually made me like Andrea. Some interesting shots in this too. Soild episode I think. Even though half the people were missing.
That's mostly my fault, sorry. I had done it last week, but I noticed that no one else had really done it after that so I didn't think much of it this week.
Man, Lori had the 1950's housewife mindset tonight.
She is embracing that shit like there is no tomorrow ugh.
Loved the episode though.
