I just started playing this game again.
I'm currently at Whitebeard and have been farming medicine for some time now, but I was wondering; If I use medicine while fighting Whitebeard, and lose, will the items be gone afterwards?
One Piece: Unlimited Cruise - Episode: 1 & 2 (PAL Releases Announced)
-
-
No you wont because you will go back to where you last saved owo So if you had your medichin thing when you saved then you still has it so save befor a boss battle :P
-
Sweet. I had forgotten if it saved after a lost battle or not.
Thanks. -
thx fenberry , i had all but 2 or so before , but i noticed when i went to unlimited mode that it got reset and i had to read all of em again.
some are easily seen (up the hill on island 1 when going towards crocodile for example) , but now i really don't know where the others are anymore.
i have like 1 per island and the boss rush one , still missing 4 in total or something..
i did however already beat boss rush and have only whitebeard/garp and the final boss left , but really want to have every one at full 100% before doing atleast garp and the final boss..
No probs - Some are rather hidden, like one on the bottom level of the area you right vivi in on island 1 - but basically search pretty much everywhere - there is another hidden along the way to garp on a big black/brown rocky area with various enemies (including some damn general zombies) over on the left side of the area - tricky NamcoBandai… but yeah, I'll see when I can.
Just finished UC2 on first mode, i fought Garp, beat him but didnt unlock, is there really more point playing the game on hard mode? The story is same, enemys, lvls? Im going to play UC1 now :D Yeah played them in wrong order :P
You unlock Garp, Doom Guardian (also all of Boss Rush, and the team specials for beating it…and all the characters you get by beating boss rush if you don't have ep2), and Whitebeard on harder difficulties - several moves get unlocked since the requirements are over lvl 10 etc (Normal mode skill cap lvl 10, Hard mode skill cap lvl 20, Unlimited mode skill cap lvl 30)
Also making another Character Karaoke for those interested... will be rather funny, as it will have a self-made One Piece mini arc - lots of fun...
-
@fenberry , coincidence (sp?) or not , but the ones you mention i am still missing , which makes sense as i had not checked the under part where vivi is since i entered unlimited mode and the garp one , well i haven't activated that one yet as of now…
to be honest there are more things sort of hidden , until unlimited mode i didn't even know that when you fall of the top part on island 2 you don't just land in the water but can actually walk there because not only is the exit of the tunnel there , but to get back up you can also build a ladder there..

Nicely put - there are tons of things (especially on island 3) which alot of exploring does eventually take - Island 4 by itself is a large and expansive area -
Hopefully the walkthrough will help either way -

hmmm. Just wondering.
Are funi/Toei asses about videos of this game being put on youtube? From a person in the UK? They (Funi) have no rights for OP here so technically they shouldn't be able remove. But i dun fancy doing a whole 'let's play!' and then have them delete it.

Well, Fenberry's videos are still there so I say go for it. I never finished Episode 2 so I'd like to see a Let's Play of it.
-
Well obviously part 1 would be done first so =3
Although I'm just playing again for the cut-scenes. Not starting over since its too much of a drag grinding lol
-
Cool, you might do the walkthrough videos with the commentary then cyber?
I would follow them I guess, I like those 'let's play' videos for some reason, even when I already played the game XD
No idea why. -
I cna't say if it'll be a walkthrough since I already unlocked everything iirc. So no moves unlocks, no rumble ball building too and no maps.
-
Oh okay. I would still like to see it if you want to do it :)
I cleared the game anyway. =D
And someone else on youtube is currently doing a walkthrough from the start so people have one if they need one. -

Not at all - it's just if you use lots of images from the Anime. The only reason my Fenberry19 account was removed was because of RokouOMFG, and as I'd already had a strike from Capcom about posting Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles walkthrough parts on before the Japanese version was released.
So go for it. I'm intending to reupload Ep1 and Ep2 Japanese walkthroughs (both on Hard mode), since I saved them before. But I intend to eventually go through a "Custom Music" walkthrough for Ep1 and Ep2 in PAL from scratch - just because I've got some killer level music I'd love to see during the actual game, and because I'd be interested to see what all the fuss is about when people start Ep2 cold turkey and get stuck.

Totally understand you there.

No idea why.Hmmm - Well I wouldn't mind doing a walkthrough with commentary if I can work out how to record voice at the same time as well without my computer exploding from the CPU usage… :P
I'm a purist though, so I tend to think walkthroughs shouldn't really have commentary unless it's done well - Cyber, I'm sure if you do get a walkthrough up, I'd be glad to see it.

The game developers did intend for people to play Ep1 first, and then Ep2 - though, since the game was so big that they couldn't fit it on 1 disc (which is kinda true… unless they dual layered it...since the ISO is about 3.1GB for each game - anyway).
You CAN play Ep2 straight without having Ep1 - You CAN unlock everything from Ep1 just by playing ep2, so if your looking for exclusive things each game contains, Ep2 has literally everything meaningful from Ep1 plus heaps more.
The story is fairly straight forward, and roughly sums up what your doing at the start of Ep2, though it would probably help overall playing Ep1. This isn't a very deep story anyway.
You'll miss out on seeing the Ep1 islands (which are really cool in my opinion, a little more varied than Ep2), but all the attacks, specials, characters and content gets unlocked in Ep2 as well (since they made it fairly stand alone as well)
And yes, the European version is fully in Japanese audio with english subtitles...
Definitely get if you can

for UC2 a few questions
-
if i leveled up my characters to the max and beat the game in unlimited mode , can i still play afterwards with my maxed out characters?
like being able to go on all islands again but perhaps with the bosses already beaten or something?
or once it safes… i have to start over again with a new game? -
depending on the question above, if i finished unlimited mode with my maxed characters , and i start a new game , will that still have my stats or will it have completely reset?
-
-
Once you have beaten the game completely in unlimited mode, you can still play it. The bosses are "gone", obviously, but you can still play for what it's worth. If you want to, you can restart the unlimited mode and play through it again. As far as I remember your characters will still stay maxed out, being exactly the same as they were before you restarted. So you won't lose any training efforts.
But it's been a while since I did that, so you might not want to take my word for it without perhaps creating a copy of your current save file or waiting for someone else to answer to be completely sure. -

Yup - once you level up your characters, nothing you can ever do (apart from actually deleting your save file…which would be silly...) would make you go back to square one with characters stats, moves, and unlocked costumes etc.
So you can play through Unlimited mode, max everything - you have a couple of choices
a) You continue just messing around, fishing, running around each island spamming team specials on normal enemies and fighting the final boss over and over again - this would be "continuing the adventure"
b) You then go back to the main screen, press C on your save file, and then choose your difficulty - the only things which would be reset are
-
You wouldn't be able to go each island right off the bat {until you beat the bosses and progress as normal}
-
You wouldn't be able to see the monuments in your list of monuments you've seen -
That's it
You could (and I've done it a few times…it's kinda fun) play on Normal difficulty and just blow through everything with your uber maxed out characters (it is fun) and 1 hit ko most bosses with 600 Million Beri Jackpot
You could also (as I plan to do soon), go back and play on Unlimited mode again for a challenge -
But once you've gotten characters totally maxed out, you can mess around as much as you want on any difficulty you'd like, doing a 'Game +' style run.

So finally made it and beat Garp … man he was annoying as hell with his canon ball spamming ... but a lot of potions, sleep balls and (suprisingly) Nami's thunder attacks did help a lot.
Characters are also maxed and final boss is beaten too.Just need to beat unlimited Boss Rush, but damn, this is hard. I barely got to the double boss fights, fucking Chopper spamming my half team with his rumble ball attacks >_>

It's a damn hard thing to do, but it's doable… But Rumble ball chopper can be easily defeated by your own Chopper using his Ep1 AA attack - somehow goes through guard point after the first hit....
-
it's not that hard , i beat it a while ago and i still have robin and brook below 2250HP each.
asfor chopper , the best option is to beat him with chopper…. rumble ball vs. rumble ball.
also helpful in the double boss battles in round 5 is to use zoro's 3000 world's attack alot , it doesn't need alot of sp and it still does nice damage and or atleast gives you time again to fill up on health if needed.....
i found myself being beat up and pushed to a cornor almost non-stop when facing shanks and mihawk... -

-
yeah , i ment zoro and mihawk , could't edit yesterday as my internet connection was offline..

I'm still hoping for those games here >_<

Thanks those videos helped a little, totally forgot how badass Sogeking is on low health.
I have my problems with Boss Rush in hard though … really tough but I advance everytime I play a little further  -

I have my problems with Boss Rush in hard though … really tough but I advance everytime I play a little further :happy:Oh yeah - Hard mode is really tough - Gotta ensure every special attack hits - get rid of Rumble Ball chopper, Whitebeard/Blackbeard, Mihawk/zoro and especially moria/nightmare luffy with Zoro's 3000 worlds….
-
beat whitebeard in unlimited mode….
surprisingly easy until you have his health down enough for him to start spamming his bisento...
to get him to half of his health i only needed a bunch of mix candy and franky's heavy nun-chucks , i just kept spamming that one over and over...
than zoro's 3000 world's and nami's thunderbolt tempo...
usopp's kabuto shooting special from right infront whitebeard and using bombs aswel...
a little more franky coup de vent and finished it off with zoro's 3000 world'si intented to finish it with luffy's gigant rifle... but it didn't do enough damage and whitebeard KO'd luffy right after.... so i was forced to end him with zoro...
never needed sanji/robin
went to garp's place afterwards, read the final stone for robin and got her last special aswel...
next up to beat is garp :sideways:also for the record , after beating the game i can simply restart in a new slot in the main logbook right? and simply choose easy mode or something?
-
never needed sanji/robin
Robin sucks for bosses anyway. I always try to avoid using her. Don't get me wrong, when there are a lot of fodder guys she's awesome … but her attacks quite don't fit for bosses :/

Yes

Awww … made it up to Kizaru/Aokiji ... damn Doflamingo stole my Luffy back then ... how far did I come? Can't remember how uch pairs come after Kizaru/Aokiji

It was'nt in the storage? I think you have to dig it up again..

Whoops did not see this. Did you figure it out?
In UC1 catch a lizard and make cream, lizards are in the caves.
In UC2 cross the bridge near the start, take a right, build a bridge and collect the fruit I think. -

Treasure map number 6.im talking about UC2 not UC1 thats why i said i had the mask fragment in a save game

It seems the game is getting a 3DS port.
http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=144679
I think it's both games in one. I'm hoping for some new things. And a new "Unlimited" game.
-
how do you catch the electric bugs in uc 2
and where and how do you catch the sky fishes that you need to have to go to the boss?
-
You can get the electric bugs on the Floating Island. You need the final net, If I remember correctly.
The Sky Fish are in the top left fishing spot on the Floating Island I think.

Oh my god, they're porting Unlimited Cruise to the 3DS?!
I hope it makes the jump to NA.

Seconded! If we could get OP:UC for 3DS, not only will that cement my decision to get a 3DS, but it'll make up for the lack of a US release of OP:UC for Wii. Plus, OP on my DS would be awesome!
