He also cut it underwater
He could also cut a chimney in half, upside down, with only 1 sword, pre-timeskip. I'm just sayin' cutting a ship isn't that big a feat. We'll see more impressive stuff later on

Sentoumaru is smart (and strong) and I can't imagine they defeat him easily. Also if they defeat him now, they will have Kizaru on their back immediately. Yet I can't imagine Luffy & Co running from Sentoumaru now that they have reunited to conquer the NW. What would be the point of these two years then ?
So I'm for the option "the fake SH will take responsibility": the real SH will just watch on distance the marines taking care of Fluffy, with the ?WTF? look on their faces. And they will depart quietly, while saying goodbye to Rayleigh/Duvall/… (even if Luffy never says goodbye).
Unless Brook has so many followers that the marines won't be able to act without killing innocent people.
But I'd also like a scenario where the SH would be celebrated by the people on Shabondi, because on about every island they have been, people have been praising them on their departures. I'd like them to leave a good impression on Shabondi too...
To clarify, I am saying that Blackbeard was using 'haki' as a common term used to describe one's willpower or charisma, rather than knowingly gauging and referencing the 'level', if you will, of Luffy's 'Haki'.
The common concept for Haki is the potential form of Haki in One Piece I was talking about.
Say, even if Haki was never brought up as an ability/technique in One Piece, it would still be something that can become stronger through life experience.

I think KiZaru is at MHQ… Which is now on the other side of the red line. So if they beat Sentoumaru now he won't be there in an instant
I've probably always been alone in this boat, and I will
Okay, I admit Sentoumaru could work fine as just a wall for Luffy. However I'm expecting Luffy to not steamroll Sentoumaru if that's the case.
The other SHs can tackle the Kumabots.
I'm not expecting Luffy to steamroll Sentoumaru, but I hope and expect Luffy to have the upper hand throughout the entire skirmish.

Do a search on what a Galleon class ship is made of. This may help you in understanding why it's a display of Zoro's new skill.

Exactly, there's no point in them running now. And two years ago, Sentoumaru was a road block for them. It will be like when Goku faced off against Tao Pai Pai the first time, and then the second time. At least, that's what I hope :ninja:

The current mindless marines may fall for the Fake Hats, but Sentoumaru will not, so it's inevitable that Luffy will face off against Sentoumaru. I mean, Fluffy isn't even capable of staying conscious against CoC haki blast.
It is highly doubtful the captain of the science unit and personal bodyguard of Dr.Vegapunk will be defeated in an arc in which Dr.Vegapunk has'nt appeared, never mind that the doctor has'nt appeared in the story at all yet.

Sentoumaru is smart. He's already expecting that Luffy is stronger than he was two years ago. So, we don't need a scenario where Sentoumaru is defeated, but something where Sentoumaru isn't capable of stalling Luffy is just as good to show Luffy's growth.
I'd find it a bit underwhelming if the Fake Hats took the complete fall for the Straw Hats, and the SHs sailed away in the background.
We have almost the exact scenario that brought down the SHs two years ago, and I don't see how Oda will not have them face this same scenario to show the crew's growth in the last two years.

He is just less stupid than Marines fodder. Then again, they are pretty retarded, seriously. Like how they made their judgement when they saw the fakes.
But I can't blame them for acting and judging like kids in a kid manga.

Hmm yeah okay, a skirmish or whatever with Luffy will be just fine and the crew putting up a better fight against the PX's(wheter they destroy them or not does'nt really matter IMO)
I'm still thinking Sanji and Zoro vs those 2 marine hunters in a hardish fight.
It seems to be set up with Sanji and Zoro meeting up and all.
I have a question for those who see Haki every where:
When Pearl from Don Krieg crew was on fire was it Haki to? Did he master CoA to and we didn't know about it?

Well, the marines have always been extra stupid. But Oda did try to rationalize the stupidity by using Chopper as the plot device. All things considered, who else but the Straw Hats would have such a weird pet. All the same, since Sentoumaru seems to be the only character with half a brain right now, I'm hoping he'll be smarter than the fodder.
Plus, Luffy was told to stay low and out of trouble

I don't expect to see any "hardish" fights for the SHs. Two years of training in story, and two years real life of the SH crew being separated. These marine hunters (I thought they were pirates :wassat: whatever) should have given Sanji and Zoro a hardish battle two years ago. Now, it should be a walkover IMO.
Luffy trained under Rayleigh, a legend and arguably the current strongest character still alive in the story.
Zoro trained under Mihawk, the strongest swordsman currently in the story.
Sanji trained under Ivankov and his okamas (don't know what argument to make here )
Either way, IMO, any character around pre-timeskip <insert sh="" here="">character's strength should be an easy fight for post-timeskip <insert sh="" here="">.</insert></insert>

My thinking is that since the two hunters have bounties of around 200 million, that they may actually be stronger than the two were pre-timeskip and that is why Zoro and Sanji won't walk all over them.
To be shown however. I'm looking forward to thier new techniques.
OMG :D
we had already seen sanji's eyebrows!
I am in hope of the Straw hats running away from Sabody Archilago and Marines in the Sunny at the end of the next chapter, following by a reunion party.
@Sea:
I too don't think Luffy punched BB with Haki or whatever variation. His comment could also be interpreted as :"His spirit/will power/pressure has increased as well".
well since ur asian and if u looked at the raw, both in jaya and in impel down. "haki" is in parenthesis. It is not a general term being used there, it is not a random spirit or will power comment. He is talking about the "technique" haki. It is pretty clear.

Your picture doesn't work but I know what you're referring too. Nope, it wasn't Haki. Pearl is just a pyromaniac and he submitted to his obsession by ultimately becoming one with the fire and setting himself aflame. Sickening, I know.
–----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know why but I just noticed the Kuja Pirates who imbue their arrows with Haki (CoA) should be able to kill Logia users.

I do agree with you but since I've resigned from this argument I won't say much. I'm still sticking to Luffy displaying a bit of Haki technique when he hit Blackbeard and I've come to know most on the forum believe otherwise.

I still think he was talking about the CoC in potential form. And that potential form is Haki in real life common concept.
And you should remember that BB said "He's stronger than I thought. His haki has improved as well" meant Haki has nothing to do with "strong"/that punch.
so people in OP can set themselves on fire without burning themselves and only others!!!
and me not knowing how to read japanese, i am gonna stick with my whole argument with Outerspec that haki wasn't used based on the facts of certain words used as well as matching with previous events

Oda is a clever bastard isn't he?
 Ah, I should've seen that. And it was right there!…

Raleigh said CoC gets stronger as the person gets stronger, so it can well be what BB was talking about.
Brennen, I think the impel down disproves your argument. How would bb say Luffy haki got stronger if he was just talking about willpower in jaya?
LOL… at first, I wondered why you posted this image.

Can't see Sanji seeing the face of the PX… He will go SSJ thinking it is Kuma, who sent him to hell
What they say is right everyone wants a mustache even Hancock
Hahaha, damn. Oda you never cease to amaze me.

Nope. The personal growth Rayleigh was talking about is not physical strength growth, or skill. It's the growth of mind. Like the more dangerous situations you went through the tougher your mind is, the more determined your will become.
maybe i am missing something? are yall talking about the eyebrows because the eyebrows on the snail are different from sanji's real eyebrows.
:ninja:
I've probably always been alone in this boat, and I will probably remain alone in this boat until proven wrong, but I still think it makes more sense for Blackbeard to be using the term 'haki' in a literal manner, rather than him referring to the… force or power within One Piece. I've got a huge argument for this, and I'm sure nobody cares, but I thought I would throw my opinion on the matter out there again... since it has been brought up. To clarify, I am saying that Blackbeard was using 'haki' as a common term used to describe one's willpower or charisma, rather than knowingly gauging and referencing the 'level', if you will, of Luffy's 'Haki'.
No, I agree with this..
Edit: Oh, lol, we're two pages farther now >_>

i didnt mention it had to be physical but neither did Rayleigh. But let me reread that chapter again and ill get back to you. But either way, it is something you can grow based on how much you grow mental or physical or etc.

Physical strength can be strengthened through training. CoC can not.
Obviously he wasn't talking abut physical strength growth.

The first time they met in jaya i believe he was talking about his spirit in genaral but in impel down he was talking about the punch he recieved from luffy imbeded with haki shown in the anime when he was screaming in agony
Growth on physical strength can make you more confident and ambitious though, especially in One Piece world. That "as well" of BB made a lot of sense. Despite affecting each other, it's still two different things.

Since kizaru can travel at the speed of light, he'd be there in a few sex (yes, i wanted to use SEX for seconds HAHAHAHA).

Kizaru travel at the speed of light?
Yes, when he is in light form. Still, it's not really a convenient way to travel since he would need to be reflected by something properly placed to change direction to where he wants to go.

I think the greatest difficulty would be accuracy at that distance. Though his best bet would be to go from Marine HQ to somewhere on top of the Red Line, across the Red Line, then just aim at the archipelago. But considering how HIGH the Red Line is an error of more than a degree could send him into outer space.
