Hattori is WG's supreme commander, he doesn't belong to these weaklings' group.
Ah, I see, that's where you're coming from. Since Hattori was introduced together with the CP9, he always tends to get grouped with them, so… yeah. My bad.
all Cp9ers all lame tbh.
Only Kumadori is awesome.
Whoa, whoa. No love for Kaku? (Although I agree, Kumadori was hiliarous.)
Jyabura and Kumadori were the only good CP9 in my opinion,Kaku was ok,the rest sucked.
Kaku and Jyabura kick ass dammit!!
I love Hattori, especially in the anime. My favorite scene was when CP9 sets the building on fire, and then it cuts to a close up shot of flames reflected in his eyes.
Funkfreed vs. Hattori. That's the match of the future. Are Funkfreed and Hattori individual options here in these tournaments? Btw, Rob Lucci was the best CP9 member. The dude was a villain you loved to hate and you cheered when he got laid out on his ass. He was a strong wall for Luffy to overcome and he made for a great 'Final Boss'.
Kaku was like hahaha i'm flying and i'm cool, then he became a giraffe.
It was funny ok but nothing special.

Not really,Lucci was pretty boring.
He may have been boring by the end of the arc but I'm not really interested in his personality. His trait of "absolute justice" much like Akaniu's was pretty interesting. Plus he was a ventriloquist! He spoke through a pigeon when we first met him! XD
What I liked about him most was that he was the strongest villain of the Enies Lobby Arc. He was smart and conniving like when he flooded the underground tunnels to kill Luffy's friends. He was strong as hell and everyone hated him and to me that makes a good villain. When you're rooting against him so much not because he sucks, but because you want the hero to overcome him so badly.
I don't know, maybe you were rooting against him because you just thought he sucked as a villain…>_> But really to me he was someone I saw as an evil ass dude that needed to be taken down. A fitting final opponent to an action intense arc.

shrugs To each their own I suppose. I thought he was great. (The jumping, the giraffe powers, and the fact that Zoro mistook him for Usopp killed me).
I did like how he was praticially the only honest member of CP9. Shame he chose the life of an assassin…...

Yeah I just wanted him to lose because he bored me as a villain,I liked seeing Robin kick Spandam's ass more than Luffy vs Lucci.

Sorry, but he lied to Paulie. That is unforgivable.

In my opinion, both Luffy beating Lucci and Robin kicking Spandam's ass were so satisfying to see.
@Mr.:
Sorry, but he lied to Paulie. That is unforgivable.
Never said he was completely honest. Just way more so than the others. :P
And that sucked; I thought Paulie was awesome too.
Giraffes are awesome, do not hate on the giraffes.
@Mr.:

Paulie was lame anyway, who cares if he got lied too? :ninja:
Nani!? Paulie was awesome! Thanks to his rope he saved like a hundred lives who could have fallen into the abyss of Enies Lobby.
@Mr.:
I don't have a job to get fired from~ :silly:
Water Seven had a great cast.
It gets a lot of flack because 56 chapters got spread across 48 episodes. A decently paced E-L would've cut that number nearly in half :\ Water Seven was nearly as bad. 52 chapters turned into 36 episodes :\
I can't believe I'm still so far behind on episodes. I've only just started watching Enies Lobby and yeah, the pacing sucks. The ultimate trolling was the episode called Luffy vs. Blueno, which in fact had almost nothing to do with Luffy until like the last 5 minutes of the episode. >:(
If it's too quickly paced then it takes away from the drama and anticipation.
There's a huge difference between building up drama and having filler scenes. Going too fast is bad, but going too slowly is also very bad. One episode per week is going so slowly that I find myself looking forward more to the fanart in the ending credits than I am about the episode itself.

That scene took to long,Usopp really is annoying…
That scene took to long,Usopp really is annoying…
That was two pages in the manga. The rooster was the only scene that was canon.

But that's anime for ya. Taking decent characters and running them into the ground with annoying filler and elongated scenes.
looks like i'm the only one here who's never watched the anime of OP before. is it worth watching? i usually stick to the manga because of factors like dubbing, VAs, animation, etc. (the Rurouni Kenshin anime basically ruined all anime for me.)
on topic: greatest villain huzzah! someone actually predicted correctly earlier in this thread.
Oh my god. 4 minutes? and here I thought the scene with Usopp talking to Oimo and Kashi took forever. Some things deserve to be longer than they were in the manga. but Usopp vs. Chicken is not one of those. I gotta powerhouse through the episodes if I want to lessen my annoyance. I'm sure my outlook will be loads better that way.
FILLER makes the world go around.
So
in the i was right,
that a villain match was going to happen
hun..
good choice of the villains BTW
the only sure votes for me is usopp and edward
the rest is up to campaign or [hide]blackmail[/hide]
so many good matchs can happen now
like Edward vs Ray
or Shanks VS Mihawk
or usopp VS Smoker

Blasphemy!!! JK. I think you definitely should. There are a lot of cool moments that you really should see in the anime. Are you only considering the dub though? subtitles are pretty good too. One Piece Official has a bunch of stuff. We love complaining about fillers, but if you're not just watching one episode per week, it'll be much better.
G8 is the only good filler arc of OP in my oppinion.
what i realy like about anime is
that we can see those awesome images of the manga
moving and with colors (and that extra scenes)
I've only seen a couple fillers, the one of the SH's as Mobsters, the race against Thriller Bark characters, and the Return of Foxy one on Spa Island.
Foxy and co. are like the Team Rocket of the One Piece anime now.

If there's one thing you must see in the anime it's Brook's flashback and piano playing of Bink's Sake after Moria is defeated. The anime really outdid the manga in every aspect there thanks to the music.

Only difference is, Foxy's crew is far less annoying.

hmmm thanks, i'll consider watching when i have more time then. i'll probably watch the Japanese one, if the subtitles are okay. (i'll never forget how RK mis-subtitled the main characters' names and the place of the big fight.) and yeah the music is a big factor too, everytime people here start raving about Sogeking's song and Brook's music i get lost.
Only difference is, Foxy's crew is far less annoying.
But Team Rocket has Wobbuffet and that makes then awesome.
I think the One Piece specials tend to be better quality than the filler fillers. I personally am a huge fan of Boss Luffy. btw, Did Marchen Time ever get animated? I know there were at least five or something, but I didn't hear about that one.
No Respect Time is great. My favorite.
But Team Rocket has Wobbuffet and that makes then awesome.
True, but even that doesn't make up for the fact that they fail every episode. :P
Obahan Time is a close second. I love how the seiyuus said it was probably their most embarrassing voice acting session ever. XD
True, but even that doesn't make up for the fact that they fail every episode. :P
and the one time they succeeded in capturing Ash's pokemon unnoticed, they intentionally woke them up just to do their motto. :P
I personally like the Mobster one,I don't remember it's name though, poor Don Luffy.
Nothing's better than Mugiwara high school.
Fatso WB is awesome
Jinginai Time = Mobster
and yeah, even though it was "a dream" by an Easter Head, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Luffy crying by the graves of everyone.
and foxy crew have porche and that makes them fanservice
and also
Piratemarimo,in the end it was sad,
but that easter head at the final..
(too random for OP for me )
saved the hole thing
Jinginai Time = Mobster
and yeah, even though it was "a dream" by an Easter Head, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Luffy crying by the graves of everyone.
Ah that's the name, and the Easter Head thing was hilarious.
I really hope the Foxy crew doesn't keep on coming back in fillers though. I mean seriously, they can't show up in the New World!! they'd get destroyed in reality. Toei needs to think up something else. unless they want to add yet another plot hole.
Sometimes the fillers just make a person want to facepalm. Back before I started reading the manga properly, I was so confused about the extra Poneglyph in Alabasta. That filler was only great because of Zoro's conversation with Chopper and Luffy pouting and rolling around on the ground.
Sometimes the fillers just make a person want to facepalm.
this is all Naruto boring filler fault
