New chapter wasn't too bad. Nice to see Konan managed to fuck up Madara a little. I still don't get why he's talking to Nagato as if he's alive though.

I don't see what Konan's strategy is at the moment. Madara can just easily teleport out of there before being swallowed up.

Ya know, I would have loved to see a little mention of why the heck Konan's powers are working so well in the rain considering the fight with Jiraya. I don't even think Konan just pretending to be down would be unreasonable.

Still even though we know Madara cannot die at the moment (hell Kishimoto wouldn't have the balls to pull a Togashi or Oda) it's still nice knowing she isn't useless.

Madara beats Konan and gets the Rinnengan. Kishi foreshadowed this fight 25 chapters (25 weeks) ago.

! There we can see him replacing the arm and mask that he lost and talking about the Rinnengan. All from the fight with Konan.

! Kishi intended Madara to fight with Konan since chapter 450 truthfully.

! At least the fight was far from random. Don't know if she's dead though. She did just get a flashback… cough Really, I hope she's not.

Thus he can regrow it as I said before. I mean it's a shonen convention for a former minion to lose against the big bad. Not all series do this but Naruto is fairly cliche. It would be refreshing for Konan to have given Madara permanent damage but it won't happen.

I know, but he also lost his arm in the fight against Konan. There's one major difference though in those two fights. When he was fighting Fuu and Torune (Danzo's men) he didn't have the Rinnengan. In the panels I showed where he was replacing his arm he did have the Rinnengen so what does that tell you? He probably replaced his arm with the same method (plant thing) after Torune infected it but I'm just showing the fight already happened between him and Konan by the time Naruto and Sasuke meet up again.

Edit: Actually now that I think on it more, when Madara was fighting Danzo and his henchmen he could've very well had the Rinnengan in storage even then. He said he had some business (Konan) to take care of in chapter 450. The fight with Danzo and the two goons didn't happen until chapter 475. Ether way, my point still stands that the fight we're watching right now already happened in the past. Madara already beat Konan and retrieved the Rinnengan by the time Naruto and Sasuke met up again.
