Fucking Latios won't stay in the fucking ball. I've tried ultra ball and dusk ball at night, but nothing.
I think sleep is the best condition you can inflict for capturing, so try that.
Is the latios roaming? If so you can always damage it and use a quick ball the next time you see it.

Another question, this time regarding EV training;
4 EV's of the same stat will make it gain one stat through leveling right?
Say I obtained 5 EV's before leveling my pokemon, would that waste an Effot point or what?
You can get the 252 EVs at level 99 and when the pokemon levels to level 100 he will still get them all, the EVs will always be given regardless of the level.

Ok don't know if this is the best thread for thus but I just recently beat platinum. Great experience coming back to the series and now I've started on soul silver. I have a few questions. Is the event regigas the only way to get the regi trio in platinum/silver?
Also the enigma stone event. I know it ends this week how do download events work? I read somewhere that once you dc from the wifi the event gets deleted from the ds? Is this true? I don't have wifi at home and would love to be able to dload the event and do it at my leasure.
Also the underground if I have two ds together can I connect to it with just the ds and no wifi?
Lastly does anyone have a lowlevel misdreavius they would be interested in trading and if possible the ruby/sapphire starters? Thank you for your help
Yes, the regi trio is originally from 3rd generation so they are not really featured ingame besides in that way.
Hum event items are gotten by connection via Mystery gift to the nintendo server, you get a wonder card and then go to the guy in a Market to give you the item/pokemon, the item doesnt get deleted normally its key items wich stay but you really dont have any other use to them.
Yes if you have two games and DS if both are underground you should see each other.

No its only in Platinum, Diamond and Pearl.
I think you can get it anytime just downlaod it, the enimga stone but you will only use it after the league.

Anyone got or heard of any cool gimmick based teams? I'm thinking of doing a few whenever I own my own copy. Explosion Kamikaze Team, A Luck based OHKO team(Sheer Cold, Fissure, Horn Drill, Guillotine), Double Teaming Team(ever since that one match in Stadium 2, I always wanted on), Baton Pass Team, and probably some others.
Most of this stuff is probably banned, but with random wifi coming soon… I guess it should not matter much to me.

Yeah, I know. It's like I said. With random wifi, I could piss off anyone for the fun without the care for imaginary rules that most players will not know about. It's all fair game. There's competetive, and there is "underground". That's not to say I'll not make a team for competitive battles(Already have one, but things could change).
As for weather effects, I saw some really nice Sunny Day teams(No Groudon). Haven't seen alot of Rainy Day teams since Gen3, so I'm not sure how many Pokemon gets benefits aside from just water type boosting.

Yup those are fine, I have a rain dance team and will probably do a sandstorm team in BW, problem is Sand Evasion ability that im not really remembering the name now is banned also since its an evasion ability just like Double Team attack, etc atleast i think so, im not quite sure since I read a lot but I dont actually battle much online specially with my pokmons, did some shoddy battles and PBR only-

Ok folks, I need your help, I bought a copy of Pokemon Emerald used from Gamestop (US copy). I have a copy of Platinum that I bought new from a Walmart (US copy). I have beaten Platinum and completed the sinnoh dex and thus have the national dex and access to Pal Park. I have a DS Lite I am using to transfer and I know how to slot in both games.
I loaded up the Emerald copy to start it and found a saved game file with a bunch of pokemon I'd like to transfer over to platinum. I have at least 6 pokemon in my party on emerald and in my pc. I saved my game in a pokemon center and parked my platinum copy in pal park and saved it.
I try to log onto platinum and i do not see the migrate option on the menu.
I type all of that information to let you know what I have tried. The only reasons I can think of for the migrate not appearing is I did change the clock on my DS at one point yesterday (within 24 hours of this post) and I read somewhere that it has something to do with 24 hours.
Am I doing something wrong? Do you think this used copy of emerald is fake? It seems and looks legit. Or will the migrate option not appear until 24 hours have passed?

Oh it might be lol if you are changing the clock it is that(you could have told me) if you change the clock that happens and you can only tranfer pokemon in the next 24 hours yes, thats a safe lock so people dont abuse the system.

Well I just looked that up and found that out. My question though. If you say hypothetically have sent pokemon over from emerald and you are in that 24 no transfer window will the migrate button still appear in the platinum loading screen? If that's the case then that is prolly my issue. I did verify through a lot of ways that my copy is real so hopefully I will know soon.

Yea still waiting on it. It sucks though, I bought the used copy of Emerald at a Gamestop and the first copy I got was a verified bootleg. I went back and exchanged it and it seemed legit (the second copy). I opened it up and it had a saved game file that was completed. Im thinking oh hey now I can just export em to complete my pokedex (which is really my long term goal) as it had Rayquaza, Kyogre and Groundon already captured. I went ahead and captured the regis and was able to save it np. I had read elsewhere that if its not a legit file if you try to save it it will crash or you try to load it on the DS it will delete the save file thus saying its a fake one. So basically if I can get this to work I have to go back to Gamestop and play through the whole game again (which sucks because back in the day I Had a copy of ruby that i played a crazy amount and then sold (ironically to the same gamestop) so playing through it again is a bit tedious >.<
Edit: Still no luck on it. This is the second pre owned copy I got from that Gamestop. I may just have to evaluate which ones are version exclusive and do trades. No sense having a copy of the game that I can use.

I got Battle Revolution and did some random matches. I pretty much mopped the floor with most of the trainers. There was this one guy who played so badly, I didn't bother switching codes with him…. that was until I got a random battle with the same guy. I still whopped him but he made quite a comeback. There was just so much curveballs.

These games SIlver and GOld were definatley the best of the LOT the story line is throlling adventurous and long :D i enjoe dbeating two elite fours and looking for over 300 pekémon. Im definately buying this

I need some suggestions. I found out my team is completely raped by those that have Rain Dance and stabbers Swift Swim. I'm thinking of swapping around for a backup team. No legends though. Ubers are okay, as long as it does not need a specific team partner or another Dragon type(I do 4v4 double battles on PBR). I experiment with Smoogon's sets a bit until I decide to make adjestments accroding to the team.

That's only for the second one. The first one should appear after the 16 badges and I think you have to get the train pass too. Steven should tell you when you get the pass iirc. Enigma Stone makes the other one appear in what acts like a stationary legendary battle (it doesn't run away) outside Pewter Museum.

Where can I go to get WIFi that works with a DSLite? Every McDonalds I've tried it doesn't work. Neither does my local Barnes & Noble. The WiFi at my house explicitly says it won't work with DS.
This issue had greatly affected the re-playability of this game to me compared to Pearl, which I had no issues with trading on GTS at McDonalds next to my work.
EDIT: the DS is brand new also, I've only had it a few months, and even then, barely used it.
Have you synched up the ds to the wifi in your area? Any ds can save three wi-fi areas, but you have to allign them first from the ds menu, it doesn't do it automatically in game.

A couple years go my DS got stolen along with my Pokemon pearl.
Found out I was getting a DS Lite for Christmas, so I went out and bought a used copy of pokemon platinum.
There was already a file on there, so I decided to take a look at it. There was some good stuff on there, but the person probably used some sort of hack. Around 800 masterballls, and 500 rare candies. Was gonna trade some of the pokemon to my cousin, then delete the game.
If anyone wants a masterball, or rare candy let me know, I probably wont delete this file until Monday, or at least until my cousin gets back to me.

This Celebi has two special features. First, in HeartGold & SoulSilver, you can take it to Ilex Forest where you'll get to time travel and learn some of the Rocket backstory. Then, when you send to Black & White through the Transfer Machine, you'll be able to take it to the GameFreak headquarters in Castelia City and get Zorua. There's a subsection in your items or trainer card or something (sorry I'm not sure where exactly) that shows special cards you've gotten at event/wifi, be it shiny pikachu, or a legendary, or some other special giveaway. You can have up to three cards at a time, but then you can't receive anymore. You have to delete the cards to make space for new ones. Kind of pointless, but you can make more space.
The limit is really stupid, but… there it is. The cards don't actually do anything, they're just psuedo trophies. But the actual critters serve that.
