The former is Generation 2 of Pokemon, and the latter are the Generation 2 remakes from Generation 4.

ofcourse i know those! i've played all of them ! except heartGold and SoulSilver and i don't plan on buying those :P but im just not really familiar with short terms :P if im not mistaken i still have pokemon crystal around somewhere :P

Ye i do think so! however i haven't really looked for much information about it yet but i think it's just going to be another pokemon game :P like all the other ones but with new pokemon :P and a new story

There were also 4 threads that made it past 100, including a pseudo-recent one that got to 181 or so, but one of the 4 (ironically, the lowest of the 4, at 120) was not for individual introductions, but for people posting their usernames from before the forum died (?) over 5 years or something ago.

It's never too late to make an intro thread. It would be troublesome to count the number of times someone has made an intro thread saying something like "I'm not really new, but I never introduced myself properly on AP."

Well… THen let's make THIS the longest introduction thread there is :P and for people that say: i didn't GET one you should MAKE on yourself :P come on... NOW DO IT! i practically ALWAYS make one when i join forums... and that are alot :P i just have a plain file on my computer with some info and stuff so i won't have to type it 3 times a day :P and i never had a introduction thread this long nor mine nor anyone elses :P btw does anyone else here have the one piece game for the wii: treasure beneath the waves and: awakening of a hero? :P

How many forums do you join, anyway…? APForums, MangaHelpers, and GameFAQs are the only forums I've ever really cared about, and I don't even visit GameFAQs anymore, and I didn't visit this forum very often at all while MangaHelpers was still good for anything.

Your not the first one >.< i guess i should have done that different ^.^ YAY for going to fit in d(^.^)Y and in what unfitting situation have i done those anime smilies :P and i think were coming along pretty well for longest intro thread already :D which is pretty awesome to me ^.^ and how many forums i join ehm let me name a few: nisute a game forum and AP forums :P just to name 2 of them :P but most forums i go to im really inactive i only have 1 forums im going to be active at :P and that is Arlong park :P i mean all one piece fans put together and then making useless arguments about the series waiting for people to bash them! ^.^

Pfft, he may enjoy pokemon games a bit, but I wouldn't call him a pokemon fan. He still has a ways to go before I consider him more than a casual gamer that happens to play Pokemon.

i wouldnt call myself a pokemon FAN either i haven't even played platinum in like a month or something :P i dont like em as much as the old games do :P like red/blue or crystal those games were better IMO but a real FAN?! nah! once a friend of mine he was MORE than a fan he had the time counter at 999:59! and he restarted his game more than 5 times and ALL of the files had reached 999:59 and would probaly be in like 1500 hours+ so much he played and im only counting pokemon D/P now >.< :P
