How is the anime for Fairy Tail?

the anime is decent, shitty throughout the everloo and shinigami arcs get's slightly decent during the galuna arc and is from phantom lord onward it's been pretty dang consistant I honestly don't have a gripe with it that much anymore.

I was incredibly relieved to see that they will be animating up to the Laxus arc at the very least. Who knows if they'll go beyond that, but I've been waiting to see Gajeel after joining Fairy Tail for some time now.

And the episodes are getting better and better IMO. I can do without the blood as long as they at least leave in the punches and such. The music, VA's and the better animation makes up for it.

Is there a chapter this week, btw?

The anime in the beginning is just awful. If you read the manga then you'll probably be really disappointed. Only recently has it become decently watchable. I say around when the phantom lord arc started. I do like how they try to flesh out peoples stories with flashbacks. As the manga is sometimes vague on a few things. Magic circles and recycle animation are still ass though but less frequent.

There's always Erza and Gajeel. That's really the only motivation I need to keep reading FT.

Lucy and Natsu are dressed like the main characters of Rave on the splash page of Chapter 91. There's also the villains from the next arc, called Oración Seis.

Haha, yeah. Erza is like THE main enjoyable aspect of the series. But even then you can see her flaws. I mean Mashima couldn't even keep her out of action for the Laxus arc, where lesser characters should've stole the show :ninja:

Erza is my favorite character in the series. I'm actually glad she got some action in Laxus arc, cause up until that time she only had one real fight. I do agree I would have like to seen more other characters shine also, but Mira was Golden.

Only one real fight? The girl practically had a fight in every arc up to that point!

Arzack should of gotten a full blown fight, seemed like mashima was focusing on him alot in that arc than suddenly bam he get's one shotted by fried.

Nah I don't consider off screen or One hit K.Os real fights. To me her first real fight was with Ikaruga .

I don't really see all the hype over Erza. She's really… just not that interesting to me. I'd pick Gray over her anyday.

To be honest Eflman is kind of a huge block that's even more of a broken record then Jimbei .

If he gets into more silly situations I could change my mind .

I'd really like to see Elfman do some more things also, but if I had to choose between the transforming siblings. I'd rather see Mira get another fight again.

On the subject of Gray. I like him but there's something missing. Its like he's being left behind. He needs some sort of powerup or just some more cooler moves or do the cooler moves more often (like the bazooka). Its like he and Natsu were even at first but now he's being left in the dust.

It's more like he never realy gets any development at all . Hell is preceding "incarnation" , Musica , wasn't particularly deep either but he had an ex girlfriend and fell in love twice .

Granted It wasn't mushy , but it was much more insight then we ever got into Gray .

I say replace gray with leon, at least leon is more interesting and frozen animal crackers over tools sound much much better.

Gray is awesome.

He'll find some way to power up, I don't think he'd allow Natsu to beat him that easily.

I do wanna see Kana in an actual fight sometime. And More Fried as well. Elfman can go back to sitting in the cornor whining about being a man.

He realy seems like a brainless ruffian completely out of touch with reality and the world around him , just like Natsu , except…...Gray doesn't even have a purpose does he ? There's nothing specific he needs or wants to achieve .

I won't argue with you on Gray and Lyon, though. Gray is basically just Ace with Aokiji's powers and a hint of Zoro's personality. Lyon, on the other hand, was one of the more developed and interesting villains of the series. His design is more original, too.

Plus leons character development from garuna island to orcion seis was good IMO probably one of the only things I actually liked about that arc.

I would have to disagree, to me Leon, Hot-eye, Racer, Skull Staff, Jura and Zero were the only interesting aspects of that arc (character wise)

The staff was the only good thing about the OS… Which is sad,. He barely lasted long.

So…I dont' actually know where the anime is right now, since I enjoy reading more so than watching, but it seems like the anime is getting a little bit better in terms of quality. Which arc are they on currently, and will they finish the Laxus arc in the anime?

I'm trying to plan a Fried cosplay, so if he's in any opening title sequence or has already showed up in the anime, I'd like to know the title/episode. Thanks in advance!

umm haven't been watching either, though do download and check where they are.

juvia just got turned into a (damnit drawing a blank, devil lady that has sex with men) but anyway in the fight with guitar long haired dude.

and yes they will do the luxas arc. the newest opening showed a ton of clips from that arc including gazelle and natsu fighting laxus.

Though why is this thing called Anima ? I thought that was the….....SOMETHING which steals magic across worlds .

And yeah , isn't it nice how we stil have no idea just what the anima even is , where it is , how it works or how it's "pieces" become scattered that one has to "collect" them . Unless the doronu anima is a likeness of a giant dragon who opens up the gateway across dimensions and who is summoned by an array of crystal.....orbs :ninja:
