I hate bittorent. Which do you guys prefer? Bittorent or IRC?

bittorrent cause I'm usually away from my comp so I just let it download while I'm gone. But the bad thing is that it lags up my comp and it gets really frustrating trying to play a game while downloading.
-
Bittorent, because I'm IRC challenged.
-
bittorent because im to lazy to try and figure out irc
-
I prefer directly downloading episodes, but since it's not in the poll I choose BT. :)
-
I've never done it using IRC.
-
I haven't used IRC in six years, and I don't remember it at all. O_o.; I've been too lazy to try to figure it out again so far.
-
Six years? Whoa.
I'm alright with IRC, but I'll always prefer direct, or whatever's closest.
-
I prefer bittorrent because of the same reason Buccaneer mentioned. However I have to do it with IRC most of the time because BT doesn´t work for me when I´m downloading One Piece stuff. :(
-
IRC, because Bit Torrent is teh s low. Plus, it makes my internet teh s low.
-
irc is faster, but i usually use bittorrent for the new releases because it allows me to seed.
i use irc for manga and for the old releases, when nobody seed it on bt.
-
Bittorrent, although they can be a problem to routers, there is a way around them. IRC you have to queue , unless if you are lucky you get the file the first thing you request >_>
-
Bittorrent. I don't think it's slow. I usually get a 200 megs episode in 15 minutes. That was the time it took me to download a single mp3 seven years ago.
The more the people are spoiled, the less patient they are. It's already so amazing to be able to watch an episode a couple of hours after it aired in Japan (or a manga chapter a few days before it is officially released). I remember the time when I watched animes years after it was first aired in Japan. Not to mention you guys in the US watched series like Dragon Ball almost 10 years after it was aired over there! Now people whine for 10 minutes… tsk tsk... :)
-
It's not impatience, it's expecting more of all this newfangled technology. ;)
-
IRC for new releases, it's usually faster. But bittorrent for just about everything else.
-
IRC when the bot agrees with me but in other cases, I will use BT.
-
usenet when possible (old school!)
bittorrent when unavoidable
irc is confusing and I don't have the patience to figure it out -
I use both, but I prefer mIRC. I still use BT when I can though
-
BT - is simpler and goes faster! :D
-
At the moment, being stuck with dialup, I use BT more, since I can download overnight and if my connection dies it'll automatically redial and resume. When I've got a faster connection, I still tend to use BT when I'm downloading a bunch and away from the computer, but the rest of the time, I use IRC more.
-
It's so much easier to find certain things with bit torrent. Sure it has it's moments when it's either really slow or doesn't work at all 'cos the torrents too old, but when you find that one torrent that goes really fast it's all worth it.
-
IRC??
-
At least type something like "I don't know what is IRC?" so you won't violate forum rule.
I use IRC. I'm a BT dummy. I know how to use it, but I don't know where to get torrent files, I always forget links >.>; I don't really download anything any more though. I'm more of an uploader.
-
BitTorrent. If I used IRC, I'd turn into some kind of chat junkie and never leave. :( UNHEALTHY.
-
I use both, but prefer irc if the bots are fast.
Manga is irc/direct download only.
For anime, it's mostly irc when d/l One Piece and Detective Conan. -
IRC whenever possible. My downloads are always much quicker on IRC then on BT. Though if you're waiting for a K-F release you better be ready because those bots get hammered so quickly upon release.
-
I use both pretty constantly, but I put IRC since I like it more. IRC solves 90% of the "where can I find <manga title="">?" questions out there. Or, at least, when the Neverwhere bot is up, it does.</manga>
-
bittorrent cause it just seem easier to use but i use irc sometimes too, i only found out about irc recently and still tryin to figure it out. it probably wont take too long tho. :P
-
I prefer to use Bittorrent. It's too much of a hassle to go into Joe Schmoe's IRC channel with 500 people, and sift through every single one of their damn fileservers. I remember going into #yanime to find Kochikame…. god.
-
I use IRC when need be, I know of a few super fast xdcc bots that I like to leech from. But I primarily use Bittorrent for all my majors downloads. It depends a lot really on what's the fastest and easiest route to get a file, which is usually via torrent.
-
torrent there just easier to use
-
bittorrent is much more reliable in my opinion. Noob friendly i say! juz double click and ya on your way. unlike IRC where you have to find the person to use the DCC. Can be troublesome too cause the moment i on IRC, i'm hit by hackers
-
usually when i use irc i tryin finding chanels that uses xdcc bots there're pretty simple, just the way i like things. :D
