All in all a pretty good episode. I hated the way Usopp's face was drawn during the first part of the episode. God at least let him look semi-normal for one freakin frame. >.>
The rest of his story was just okay. Robins part was done very well and actually looked pretty decent, aside from the missing nipple of course. I like others was taken by surprise when she actually killed those guards.

Oh it's Robin's ep is it? Anyone got a link to the ep or anything? For once I'm actually interested in the anime.

Nice episode especially the Robin part. Didnt like Usopp part that much.
Dammed i was looking forward to the "war" but a break and recap episodes…quess it will have to wait.
-
Did the animation of the island moving in Usopp's part remind anyone of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, or am I alone on this one?
-
Ew. Tate should never animate a non action scene again.
-
hmmmm. First part of the ep was ok Aside from Robin's boobs they didn't even use the cover pages. Fail. I wanted awesome Robin escaping ep.
At least we are already getting Robin porn from the ep. Which is nice.
-
Horrible, horrible episode.
-
Awesome episode. Episodes like this make the anime worth watching.
-
Horrible, horrible episode.
really.one of the worst.i hate Jinbei acting like a protective father
-
They should have made Jimbei's last frase-" …he doesn't listen to me...perhaps I should shut the fuck up..."
-
The Episode was ok.. I thought the muscle Usopp was hilarious and Herakles was funny. The old guy looks like an admiral or a general :-/, but maybe its just me..
-
The animation was ok… the actual art sucked. Sucked like it did last Strawhat episode that Tate scribbled.
At least the plot was better than last time. I was at least not getting bored with Robin's story, and Usopp's made me laugh a couple times.
-
Well nice episode, the Robin part was OK.
Usopp's part was funny - or better: Herakles was - and the fact that those islands are some kind of giant plant was a nice addition (that wasn't mentioned in the manga was it?)
-
Is It Me Or Is Crocodile and Jibei gonna brawl in the next ep judging by the preview
-
Episode was good except for the animation imo. For instance, Luffy´s and Usopp´s animation-art was quite odd in this episode. Anyways, story was good.
-

i dont know.i thought Tequila wolf was attacked by many revolutionaries, and all the slaves freed.looks like they dont care of slaves, and Robin let the little girl alone in that hell
-

Yeah now that i think of it, we saw only two-three of them. Moreover when that old revolutionary ally came out of prison and told Robin to stand aside, i thought he´d do something cool, heck it ended up with Robin saving their asses.
-
That's actually a far better plot twist. Tequila Wolf has been around for 700 years. The day Robin ends up there just happens to be the day when the revolutionaries pull off the biggest assault against the World Government in history? Yeah…no.
Also the dumb girl can go to filler hell.
-
@Thousand:
Also the dumb girl can go to filler hell.
At least she's not yelling "BOSSU!!!!"

This was the worst adapted coverstory till now.
They have made so many mistakes that I don't know how people can find this episiode good. They didn't even USE the cover pictures. Maybe you people should reread the coverstory:
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/545/01/
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/546/01/Firstly Nico Robin escaped herself. She didn't need any help and she didn't wear any Seastonecuffs. In fact they didn't even know who she was. In this episiode the chief warden was so afraid of her that it was ridiculous. I mean he was more afraid of her than of the Revolutionary Army, what brings me to my second point.
Secondly the Revolutionary Army. The title of the Coverstory is: The Power to free slaves. In the Coverstory they look like nice and strong badasses. In this Episode they look like weaklings and Jackasses.
There are thousand ways of how this could have been handled better but atleast we have now confirmation that they don't really talk with oda about the coverstorys
-
Hmm, that Tequila Wolf warden's voice sounded very familiar. Anyone knows who he is?
-
thoroughly enjoyed Robin's part as I'm a big fan of reading about the events of the holocaust and her whole story is sort of based on that (i believe lol).
Usopp's part was silly, then again i never liked the character anyway, Heracles and the Willy Wonka area made it watchable :)
-
Robin's quite a smartass when freed from the constrains of being Ms. Exposition, isn't she?
I like how her half rectified a little issue I had wit hthe original manga, namely being that the warden didn't seem to have any clue that they had captured the Nico Robin. The little twist with the revolutionary leader was welcome. Directing was superb, really. Very somber. I doubt anyone else on the team other than Tate could have effectively pulled that off.
Usopp's part was a little longer than last time, and it was even more hilarious. Heracles is just stupidly awesome. Kind of creepy tha tthe entire island is basically a gigantic Sarlac.
And Jimbei is a friggin' broken record, even more so than in the manga. Geez.
-
Well the anime team probably has no idea what else to do with Jimbei then his constant martyr talk .
Have not seen the episode yet but am interested .
-
Horrible, horrible episode.
Oh cmon Ivotas the Usopp part saved the episode XD it was so funny.
The animation i still dont understand some people saying it was average lol, the Robin part didnt even like it was one piece and once again it went against the cover story…
Heracles made me cry haha i even watched the episode again to see the guy, such awesomeness.

thanks to point it out.they are 100% filler if they go so far from the manga.and like every filler,i will ignore them
-
Oh cmon Ivotas the Usopp part saved the episode XD it was so funny.
Yeah, and some people find the Telebubbies funny. Doesn't mean that I did. And Josl pretty much explained why Robin's part sucked major ass.
-
^ Why shouldn't the warden be terrified of the she-devil who sank six Buster Call battleships when she was only 8 years old?
-
I think the whole business of the warden being more afraid of Robin than the Revolutionaries made sense, since they were referred to as 'dissidents' by the guards. He probably had no idea that they were part of Dragon's army, and he just assumed they were rebellious workers who happened to grab some guns (and silly hats) and start a riot.
I liked the Robin fanservice too. Even though I'm a girl, I can definitely appreciate how close they were to showing a nipple, which is kinda crazy when you think about how shows like Bleach have been so censor-happy lately. :getlost:
And why does everyone always whip Robin? She's so used to it from Spandam… I think she's starting to like it now. Tickle-torture would be more effective at this point
-
I'm liking this episode. I'm waiting for this "sloppy art" I keep hearing about. It was better than last time this was sequenced. The model's movements felt right, alot of interaction with the background(which almost never happens in OP unless it's a still shot or a lazy speed line background), and shading that is not just reserved for face shots. And oh, the part with the girl sneaking in. The angles they used was just quality. I also liked how the group shots were used… not the best compared to other anime, but for OP's crappy standards...
Going on to Ussop's portion now.

the anime didn't cover those 2 pages(yet) and (they only look like badasses)the problem is(we don't know)
you saw Robin didn't have a kairouseki on that page, and that's a bit odd,she can own those bastards without hiding and she got bruises, prison uniform and keys
(the problem is we don't know) -

or maybe its a bad translation the used "dissidents " and not revolutionaries, like okama way "come my way"
-
^ Why shouldn't the warden be terrified of the she-devil who sank six Buster Call battleships when she was only 8 years old?
You said it yourself, he didn't know who she was but let's say he would have known. He was still in a position of power. He would have known that the world gouverment wants her head, so he would have called someone from the Marines to bring her to impel down. But in the episiode he didn't even tell the other wardens that there is a really dangerous person. It was like:
"Oh my god there is this really dangerous person who could bring ths country down but I won't tell the other wardens that there is such a dangerous person so that they aren't extra carefull in handling such a dangerous person."We don't know what kind of prisoners(slaves) are on this Island but probably not so dangerous ones like: Thieves(no murders) civilians from other countrys not belonging to the world gouverment. So that he would be afraid is reasonable but the way he acts and the way he is portrayed is ridiculous. He has probably the same rights as Magellan to kill whoever he thinks is dangerous. Either you work or you die. To throw her in some kind of cell and hope she behaves is just stupid especially if he is that afraid.
But this all doesn't matter because this all is just filler
-
I always thought O-Kama-Way/Oh Come My way was intentional .
-
Ussop's part was terrible. Good thing was wasn't long.
-
i watched this today at uni.
my friend who is a huge naruto fan actually said that this episode was better than the last naruto episode against pain.
WHAT A COMPLIMENT -
I am realy curious how these past two episodes are gonna get dubbed abroad . I know Tle 5 cut down ediiting compared to RTL II but there was stil some in the Oz fight .
-

If however the personal at TW has what it takes to take care of such prisoners then there's no reason to be scared that much.
But either ways as you've stated, this is filler anyways. Nothing we've seen in the story matches the manga counterpart. Not to mention that we're having a filler kid that we didn't see in the manga.
-
We had a filler kid in the Franky story .
I realy think this has to be sorta cannon even if things get changed a bit . A prety important chunk of the story to just make it not count and have nothing in it's in place .
Also Ivotas , have you cleared yer messages yet ? I don't need anything now but just wanted to make sure .

they always rape arcs and other things -
the anime didn't cover those 2 pages(yet) and (they only look like badasses)the problem is(we don't know)
That's the point. They didn't cover those 2 cover pages. Now they will NEVER cover those 2 cover pages. Thats why this Robin episode is 100% filler
or maybe its a bad translation the used "dissidents " and not revolutionaries, like okama way "come my way"
Oh yeah I forgot about those "dissidents". If on this Island were some kind of free dissidents than we can all agree that they would all be long dead or made into slaves
I mean it's the same like when a german in a KZ says:" You know what, we should treat the jews better" What do you think would have happend to such a german??
-
That's the point. They didn't cover those 2 cover pages. Now they will NEVER cover those 2 cover pages. Thats why this Robin episode is 100% filler
yeah maybe it's a filler, maybe it's not,the problem is we don't know,if they have Oda's script or not and we don't know if there's a next part or not,
you saw Robin didn't have a kairouseki on that page, and that's a bit odd,she can own those bastards without hiding and she got bruises, prison uniform, keys and a rope
(the problem is we don't know) -
I'm liking this episode. I'm waiting for this "sloppy art" I keep hearing about.
Same here.
I thought most of the art and animation was beautiful in this episode.A lot of people on here are ridiculously hyper-critical of the anime.

I would agree if they were talking about Ussops section though. The directing was flat out boring.

As I said earlier in the thread, you're in for a world of disappoint.

Why ?
