Question: Did you watch the regular dvd of AC, or the more recent 'AC: Complete' for Blu-ray? Because I must say, even liking the original movie as much as I did, the Complete version IS better… they add about a half-hour of footage, and though that doesn't seem like much, all the little loose ends in the movie seemed to get wrapped up MUCH better. AND the blu-ray comes with an extra anime short about how Denzel came to be with Tifa and Cloud --they even touch on one of moments in the short as one of the extra scenes (watch the short first, it's more intruiging that way ^^..).
So yeah. If it confused you or seemed too action-y, try Complete, you might like it more. Oh, there's just as much action (and if you can believe it, they make the CloudxSephy fight LONGER...), but just as much more explaining as well. It's almost like a completely different movie in some instances..
Also is it wrong to say FFXIII looks more interesting to me than XII? Which I guess is the point since it's new and shiny, but unlike most other FF I really didn't want to play XII at all... and when I did I was like, "This is okay, I guess." The fighting system was pretty smooth but the characters and story early on didn't really pull me in. XIII looks like a eklectic mix set somewhere between VII, VIII and X... I guess I must just like the more futuristic-set games than the not-so, but then I really enjoyed 4 and 3, so.. eh. I'm confused.
EDIT: Also I believe AC:C blu-ray had the first XIII trailer I had ever seen, so that makes it even more awesome. And much more relevant to this thread. X3
I think I watched the first edition. I just watched the "complete version trailer" and it still makes me dizzy. I will try.
