I think The Sharingan / Genjutsu is a lot of what ruined Naruto, and Aizen's power is probably going to follow in it's footsteps. I hope Kubo doesn't allow that to happen.

He wants to get some key and become a perfect being, he doesnt care about anyone of his subordinates, he pretended he is a good man and he fooled everyone…sounds like a personality to me. -
I'm starting to doubt this hell arc because kubo hasn't done anything with it since chapter 12 but it would be stupid if kubo didn't do hell arc and kept dragging this arc on… damn hell gates look badass in the anime RzGH-kFPy24

well there were some dumb things in this chapter but somehow it reminded me why i still read bleach, and why im a fan of shinji…its nice to finally see aizen bleed for real (at least i think that was real)

Well, this chapter finally picked things up a little. What the heck happen to Tousen–did Aizen blow him up or something? I liked Shinji's release--it's pretty badass for a shikai. And it nice to see that, after what seems like a 100 years of waiting, Ichigo finally made it back to the living world (Fake Karakura or whatever it's called).
And Grimmjow will be forever stuck in the endless plot hole that Kubo created…
Tell me about it. I think Grimmjow is one of the better characters in Bleach, so I wish Kubo would just draw some kind of conclusion as to where his character is going and not just leave him laying there for years on end.

Anyway I love Grimmjow, of the baddies imo he is the most badass character. To be fair to Mihawk he hasn't had much appearance in the manga, and when he has he has been basdass.
Let's look at Aizen. Perhaps his broken abilities are badass in a certain way. However he does fit the generic big bad mold. He is the opposite of the bad guy organisation Genei Ryodan leader Kuroro Lucifer from Hunter X Hunter. Lucifer treats his group like family, he would never strike them. Aizen uses his group and kills them wheever he sees them as useless.
Point is Mihawk is a noble villain, Aizen is a treacherous villain. Both are cool in their own way, but Mihawk trumps to me on the grounds of his noble way as a villain i.e letting Zoro live. Sure he did it probably on "I wouldn't mind a rival" logic but he did do it.

Well it makes sense for Aizen to kill Tousen him being such an unstable and unreliable fighter. Also hes reason to fight along Aizen is unstable and based on delusion so if he got rid of Espada because they were weak then why not get rid of Tousen aswell?
I am NOT Aizen fanboy nor do I have any sympathy or hate towards him. He is just generic über badguy and even if good guys beat his forces like ragdolls he just says ''Just as planned…'
He dont have any charecter, he is just mere plot device. Even Ichigo has some charecter though he is generic protagonist while Aizen is generic Antagonist.
Plot makes Aizen invincible against all charecters until Ichigo eventually 'beats' him.

Aizen is such a troll.'xept from Tousen's death, Shinji was also okay in this chapter, kinda making up for that time he cried for Ichigo's help.
Now that Ichigo is here of course, I am not that sure we will see Shinji getting more action than that. :getlost: -

It is possible. I want to see Shinji have a go at taking down Aizen but Sosuke seems to have plotkai- I hope some explanation is given for his sudden escaping Shinji's bankai. If it isn't I hope Ichigo just hacks the shit out of Aizen, maybe it's plotkai but better a good guy owning with plotkai then the badguy killing everyone with plotkai. Oda wouldn't do that but that's Oda…

Yeah, Aizen is a really annoying villain. Shinji's power is really cool, but it's lost on such a broken characters like Aizen. C'mon Shinji, use your damn mask.
That said, Kubo did foreshadow Shinji's ability beforehand. The first time we ever saw him he was standing upside down in the sky. Nice to see Kubo thinking SOME things in advance.

I highly doubt that was the Bankai. Probably translation error.
EDIT: Speaking of thinking in advance, he also foreshadowed it when Shinji said to the class how he was good at writing his name backwards.

Really, I'd say anybody could overcome his ability when he tells them exactly what it does down to the very last detail like a dumbass.

This is actually more than likely a case of him once again reading through earlier volumes in an attempt to find a random plot point to fill in a hole, like with Fura.

Well, I certainly hope that's not his bankai cause if so this character suffers the same weakness Tousen did, a seemingly tough bankai that can be beaten by sheer skill, making the owner look pretty weak. I mean once you beat it it's useless. It limits his potential as a fighter. On the other hand, based on Tousen these guys might have more tricks later, who knows. It's unclear whether or not these guys just use the masks or have reached what I'm assuming is Ichigo's level (an extension of the mask) now.

looking back in 385 shinji says (by the mangastream version) "collapse, sakanade"
which sounds like the way everyone in this series does shikai…i forgot that in all the tousen-ing going on

Seems like every bankai release that I've seen begins with the user shouting "Bankai!". I thought Shinji only said his release command (Collapse) while facing Aizen, which is why I thought that this is his shikai. I don't know, I guess it'll be confirmed one way or another in a later chapter (unless Kubo forgets about it).

Yeah, as someone said: never trust Jump side-comments. They're just annoying side-narrators who make everything bigger than they seem to build up tension. It is Shinji's Shikai.
Oh and to whomever said the second Bleach movie stunk…they were right. Then again, while it was obvious considering Shrimpo was the main character, the disconnectiveness of a plot and fights even more random than movie one didn't make things better. (though at least there were some funny moments like Uryuu nearly killing Ichigo with his attack and Kenpachi just randomly destroying things for the sake of randomly destroying things)

Yeah, I was tripping balls for a second when I thought THAT was all Shinji was going to be able to do(as awesome as that power is). It's pretty hax that Aizen got used to it so quick, they could have at least made him wait like 5 pages to figure it out, shit. I think when Shinji puts on that Pharoah mask we'll have a real show.
Kenpachi was the only reason why that movie was even worth watching.

Shinji pretty much told Aizen how to counter him so… yeah. Also I'm too afraid to try and think it all out but for some reason it feels like the fact that if your vision of Shinji is backwards/reverse as well as front and back then if you see him in front of you wouldn't that mean he truly is in front? It's like all those reversals cancel each other out.
