@Zeratanis:
Horrible-Subs at LEAST does one thing right. Distribute subs from Crunchy Roll you otherwise would have to pay for.
Think of it as the "Stop Tazmo" of fansubs.

That's not a very good analogy. Stop Tazmo takes fan translations that weren't meant to be paid for, whereas HorribleSubs, as you point out, takes material you're supposed to pay for and puts it out there for free. And that's technically incorrect since Crunchyroll let's you watch simulcasts for free after a couple of days.
Anyways maybe it's because I have the luxury of living in North America but I don't get these angry remarks about how there are "One Piece" fans outside of America. Toei Animation doesn't have to do this simulcast thing, they're making plenty of profit off of "One Piece" in Japan alone and this is just a privilege. Nobody deserves to watch "One Piece", it's just a really great privilege. I've had plenty of times where I've been part of a group that doesn't get something while another does, I don't see how this is any different. And I'm not saying fans in Europe and Latin America and elsewhere shouldn't get the simulcast too, I'd love for it be worldwide. But the fact is being region-blocked doesn't justify ripping it and distributing it illegally. I'm not taking a side one way or the other even if it sounds like it, I'm just saying it's not worth getting bent out of shape about.
Besides, everyone who wants "One Piece" is gonna get "One Piece", why do you think communities like this exist? All a "fansubbing" group has to do is take the script from FUNimation's release and copy it to a high-quality raw.
