To those of you who are in the area, or know people who are…how the hell are people getting home? On 9/11 people were able to walk across the bridge, and the subways did eventually run (although not very well) But this was an attack specifically on your transit system, so that must be more difficult. I really hope people aren't going to have to sleep in the streets.
My dad walked home from his office in Central London. Other people walked or booked themselves into hotels. This morning the bus services are back to normal (I take the bus to school) and there is a limited train service.
-
whoa skool is still on even though that happened?!? i htought they would like make sure everything is like ok before letting things go on as normal
-
Some schools shut. Many schools in Central London shut, and I know all Camden schools shut. The most important thing is getting back to normal right away. My school was not near the blasts, so there was no need for it to be closed (though a lot of kids were upset and didn't come in). :)

Ah, well some people need some time. It was a very depressing event…

i actually live in london
i think this is messed up
its got nothing to do with the games
if some kills 50 pepole over the Olympics then they must be fucked up -
I don't know what do those terrorist really want to do? Don't they have anything to do or something, just bombing and killing people? I heard that at least 45 people died in the bombing, am I right, and a lot more are injured? Can never understand what do the terrorists really want. Anyway, hope you all who are British are safe and well as well as your family, friends and loved ones.

To be honest, I at first didn't want to read this thread or post, because I'll probably fuck up what I meant to say, but here goes.
I give my sympathy to the victims and thoses that are affected directly by this. The phycological pressure must be unbearable. As for the terrorist reason, you must first define "terrorist". It's basically someone/something that strikes… well... terror. Also, I think the whole "Olympic bid" theory is bullshit (IMO).
Lastly, I agree with Demoneyes on the "Point of view" thing he posted in the first page. One can't truly define evil, really.

I recall 11th September 2001.
My school (admittedly 3000km from NYC) didn't close. However, a six-story building where I had a class, in the middle of the class, someone pops a sprinkler head off and triggers the fire-bell. Not the day to create a panic, I'd say.

It was a shocking and devastating news. My heart goes to the Londoners, from an Indonesian woman that knows how traumatic these things can be. (Well, at least until it happen so much in your city that you become a little more immune to it…... I digress, sorry about that.)
The most depressing thing to me is that the warmongers from both sides of the conflict are doing a good job acting as recruitment agent for the other. A nod of agreement to Mugiwara's words.
-
Well, when I saw the news showing images of those searching for their loved ones, I can't help but feel sad for them. The world is in such a chaos now.

Breaking news:

blair needs to pull his finger out his ass

Ah…crap....do these guys have anything else better to do than to kill people going about their daily lives! Aparently not!
As far as I heard there wasn't any serious injurys. Its too close to the first atack for comfort. Maybe its a copy-cat. But copy-cat or not it really get me mad. Not mad just you steped in dog crap in new shoes pissed off!!
-
Bloody idiots are wasting there time anyway.
As if London is going to cower now after being bombed over and over since before 1916.
Read your history terrorist people.
You are wasting your time and gun powder. You will get nothing out of this but the hatred of the rest of the world.(Just in case any terrorists come here).
I'm glad no one was seriously hurt this time. They sound confident about catching them.
I hope they do.Life as normal guys. Don't let them win. Just keep doing your thing.

i just think this whole issue on terrorism is just sad. how can there people out there that r so cold hearted? have they no dignity? i mean looking at images of wats happened and how its happened really makes u think, can u trust neone in this world? i mean for all u know the next person u c with a backpack could be carrying a bomb… i mean bringing terror into someones everyday life isnt wat i call fun. in sydney now, theres not a single train station that has a bin on the station platform becos theyre scared terrorists mite plant a bomb in there but when these terrorists start resolving to suicide bombs in their backpacks it really makes u think... is there a message that everyone in the whole world needs to know to do such a thing? if they really want to get their message across they should sort it amongst the people that r driving them mad. presidentsprime minsters of each country dont realize that their calls affect the whole nation... for all we know the next country that could get bombed is the one ur in rite now...
-
I heard that the terrorist happened again for the second time in London. Is that true? I wonder why do the British who lived in London need to face this twice in just 2 weeks. Feel so sorry for the people there, who still lived and injured or died in the incident. :(
-
~_~ I heard one of em was shot up good in the tube this morning as well. I say good riddence and all I regret is that the guy didn't suffer more before he died.

Yes but he could have told them about the others so in that way they should have tried to keep him alive.
-
oh and the same terrorists got egypt today as well
there out of control

Actually the guy was innocent…

Yeah, they shot the wrong guy. Things are obviously really getting out of hand here - what are British muslims supposed to do~? I mean, face it, every Muslim on a British bus or tube is going to get side-ways glances… It doesn't help racial relations, does it~?
Pathetic.
I just hope things get sorted and dealt with soon... But as Redpirate said, Britain has seen much worse and it's still standing. We still stood tall after over 50 nights of endless bombing of the cities, I think we have proven that we can't just be scared into submisson, I mean, what do they hope to achieve~? All they are doing in the end is making the majority of the world feel wary and hatred towards the Muslim communities. X_x
Well, at least the second load all failed, but what do you guys reckon, same people as the first time, same group but different people or copycats~? Hn.

**I just read in the papers today that mosques all over Britain are getting bomb threats from Muslimphobics.
Drat. There goes my chance of getting a job in the UK. Bloody freaking terrorists.
They're not Muslims, I tell you. You can't do things like that in the name of religion.
My deepest sympathies for London and its citizens. I love that city. I love UK. :(
-
I hope the poor Brits don't have to try and deal with being afraid of their own police now as well. Any poor bugger with a backpack and a walkman is going to get sideways looks. (Let's hope that's all)
-
That poor guy.
"I'm inno-"
BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM. -
I actually pity those who have the stereotype looks of a islamic extremist. Dark skin tone, turban, long beard, small sneaky eyes, looks like he's carrying a bomb on his body but in fact is just fat and speak a language which sounds like arab.
I do hope no more mistaken identity is to happen just for the sake of safety. Too much blood has been shed by the innocent. Leave the war to yourselfs you accursed politician and extremist. Leave us alone!

I was very shocked when I noticed the death of the innocent guy…Me,as a brazilian too, became sad when I saw his family and friends...The tv channels don´t stop the news about it.He was a guy with the dream of meet the world out of here...It´s not fair.
