Now that you mentioned it, that "Real spoiler should come in about 11 hours from now" could also be an April Fools joke. Like a follow-up or something… Nah, it's true.

I was here last night when it was happening, I got fooled on something that happened before April first and I specifically said if it had happened within the time frame of somewhere at sometime being April 1st I would have not been fooled by it or at least been more skeptical. I expected the members here to at least try if they were pulling a fast one to do it on the actual day. I got fooled by it, I said they deserve all the credit in the world for fooling people including me, but calling an april fools even if they intended to wait till the real spoiler defeats what the whole point of that day is. Your supposed to fool people ON the day and than say to everyone that it was joke after the day, not before and than reveal it on April Fools day.

The joke was SPOILED ahead of time. If they'd waited longer, real spoilers might have surfaced and ruined the credibility of the joke. If they'd started it all up on April 1st, then it would have had almost ZERO credibility - that's why they started things up when they did - when spoilers normally come out, to increase credibility. Of COURSE if it happened within the time frame of April 1st it wouldn't have fooled you!

Come on guys this isn't hard.

Doesn't matter. If you don't at least try to put it on April Fools, it is not an April Fools prank, no matter if the whole intention may have been to be one. If you can't do it because it would have ruined the joke, than you cheated the day. Its like if thread was created last week and fake spoiler threw everyone off last week and said april fools. It just doesn't work that way. If you can't get it on the day or at least beable to do what magazines do (Week of april 1st or month of april) than its merely a good spirited prank. The whole purpose of April fools is to catch people off their guard on that specific day. If they really wanted an April Fools prank they would have found something else to fool us that could actually be on April 1st. Last year that happened just fine by several members. I already gave them tons of praise for it and the effort (I haven't laughed this hard in a while), but to call this an april fools joke is cheating the purpose of the actual day.
