It looks like it's reaching it's climax.
I don't think the ants will die just yet though. They might leave the heroes to baste in their ultimate defeat.

Good god I hope not. After all these breaks and fights and everything, for not a single one of the Royal Guards or the King being beaten, it would be VERY disappointing.
Now I am certain, I wasn't before and I have my doubts, I had to think this over for days and days on end, It just didn't sound right but now it does: This chapter proves that Netero is a stand user.
"Stand user"? I must have missed something. Could anyone please explain what a stand user is and the implications thereof?
Well Gorlom you need to go read JOJOs Bizare Adventures to understand stand power.
And if I were you I d start today , one fcking awesome manga that is.
Mugiwara no Ice is right, JJBA is a kick ass manga series. Stand users don't appear until part 3 just so you know.
sigh Just read the latest chapter. At the end, it says "Starting from next issue, the series will be on hiatus". Hope this one doesn't last too long.
Yeah, this is the last of the 10 chapter stretch that started in October, a we mentioned before. It'll probably start again around April, if it's the same as last year.
So now a lot more focus is on the king and Netero. It still doesn't seem likely that Netero can win, but now the situation in the fight against the guards is different, since they don't "need to beat them" anymore. But now they've gained sympathy in them and emotion as well. This arc is really more psychological than fighting, it seems.
Indeed. Given the Kings ultimate intention is to pretty much rule the world, it looks like there's still going to be a conclusive battle there though. It begs the question, who could beat the king, if not Netero? Unless the king somehow gives up…which would be a bit anticlimactic.
This chapter… AAGHAAGHAGAHGHAHGHAGHGAHGH SO GOOD
The King just gets more and more badass with every appearance.
My only complaint with this chapter is that, you know, it's on another goddamned hiatus. >_<
Alright chapter. I hope the King has an awesome Nen Ability… we'll probably see it next set. Still I'm a bit disappointed that none of the ants have to be beaten.
Since Knuckle said "there's more than one guard..." its obvious he's going to fight one of the guards. I really doubt its Pufu, so it's probably Pitou. I suppose that Knuckle could expose Pufu for not really being there.. As long as Knuckle doesn't join in with Gon and Killua against Pitou. That would be awful.
Where the fuck was Killua during all of this? He's done charging... I'm still fucking pissed he couldn't have just come in at the last second again and shocked Yupi so he went bankrupt.
again break….arrrrrrg this will never end...
but the king is more and more anicce villain..
first just killing machine but now learning emotions and feelings...quite nicce
and he reminds me on freezer with his design.,...and than he`s fucking awesome lol
and yeah gorlom read JJBA you have too...
Everything I want to say about this chapter has allready been said so there.
I would be really excited and interested after the ending of this latest chapter…. if not for the impending 3-5 month break that is now going to kill all the built tension and anticipation... AGAIN.
If Togashi could just do a regular schedule, this series would easily be fighting it out week to week with One Piece for my favorite... but the 3 months of comics followed by 5 months of hiatus is just... uggh. This arc should have been at THIS point 3 years ago. Berserk is the damn same. I love it, but the DELAYS.... uggh.
Still, loving the King. He's just like Cell... only done in an interesting and badass way. I love that Netero smacked him down twice and the King was still all like "So, you wanna talk or what?" and then showcased his knowledge of the thinking man's game Shogi. He's a very unique character and I've thought for some time that this wouldn't with a simple beatdown of overwhelming force as teh DBZ sagas always did. That said, there better be some amazing badassery after the break.
isnt there a season 1 release soon?
what is it supposed to be i dont know about hunterxhunter.
is it worth getting if your new to hunterxhunter?
If you like Yu Yu Hakusho enough to make it your avatar, you'll probably enjoy HxH, as its the same creator and most people agree its the better series. Its difficult to summarize, but its your typical shonen boy travels the world and has adventures story, and it takes a little while to get going, but the world, characters, and ideas are all pretty amazing, and its very well thought out and entertaining. Its a completley solid series, and the anime reaches a reasonable stopping point, so its probably worth your while.
Given that it's the start of the series, yes.
Rly? the same guy who made yyh made hxh? wow I'll definatly pick this up.
just to let you know though that hxh doesn't have as much fighting as yyh since it relies a lot more on story and adventure.
there isnt a lot of fanservice is there?
thank god no. it's pretty much the antithesis of shit like to-LOVE-ru
@Yusuke:
there isnt a lot of fanservice is there?
there's not one bit of fanservice here.
actually, i forgot. If you're gay, then yes there is
There's plenty of homosexual fanservice with Hisoka.
And there's that thing with Shizuku in that last arc.
I think every anime to some extent has fanservice:
also, what is your avitar of? (kewl0210)
It's Zatch Bell.
Konjiki no Gash Bell…
I don't fansub and scanlate terribly done dubs...
Seeing as this is way off topic I should say something on topic.
Uhh, this manga will probably end up continuing in April or so. Meanwhile you can speculate on where it's going from here.
Things so far have been leading up to the end of Hakoware, which now ended with no effect, so now some major plot point will have to occur for the plot to revolve around.
Konjiki no Gash Bell…

I completly agree at the terribleness of the dub.
hmmmm i'm thinking of buying HXH season 1…will it be uncut?
It'll be the usual blaghtastic Viz "quality," but it shouldn't be cut in any way.
Note that this is coming from my experience with their Busou Renkin DVDs.
There's plenty of homosexual fanservice with Hisoka.
Though it's written in a really funny way. I mean seriously, the one thing with Hisoka's speech bubbles at Greed Island have to be one of the funniest shit I've read in a manga.
And there's that thing with Shizuku in that last arc.
I'm not quite good with all the HxH names. Mind explaining which scene exactly you are referring too?
Shizuku is the Spider with the nen ability "Blinky" the vaccuum. She has black hair and glasses. In the side arc where the spiders went to fight the ants at Meteor City, she fought this retarded spider-like ant and had to take her clothes off (besides underwear) to escape his net
Wowza, I wonder which is more scary the fact that I didn't even remember the name of my favorite GR member or the fact that I totally forgot her taking her clothes off. Considering I'm not the kind of guy who cares about fanservice I'd say it's rather the first. Anyway, thanks for the info.^^
I for one didn't actually "forget" about it, I just thought that the whole ryodan portion of the chimera ant arc seemed like filler to me.
Well it certainly had the taste of a filler but at the same time it had the taste of goodies for the fans for me. That's actually exactly what I meant in the Naruto thread with the difference between Akatsuki and the GR. When the GR appear again it's like "yowza, those guys are back" while the Akatsuki are on the verge of becoming lame, though not even all of them have been elaborated yet.
Genei Ryodan defeats practically every major group in anime history IMO besides the Shikibukai and Shishio Makoto's 10 swords (forgot the actual name to that group)
well, i'll say Genei Ryoden and Akatsuki will be a badass combart front. i mean all these guys are good in their own way and these guys are stronger than mid to high level villans. it would be hard to choose who would win.
In the final chapter of HXH - did the king transform or was that a fast movement to make his limbs more than 1 ?
looked pretty cool to me. i think Netero is gonna have it hard. i mean defeating the king is no easy task and looking at the situation, he is under a disadvantage because he mustn't kill president but president on the other hand can kill the king. too cool
i wonder if Togashi sensei will really come back on time - hope he does.
He will return, april is a bad month to return in though.
In the final chapter of HXH - did the king transform or was that a fast movement to make his limbs more than 1 ?
Seems like he was just moving really fast.
As for the fight itself, I doubt that Netero's going to win it…
...the King's taken zero damage as of right now, and he seems to be quite confident that he'll be able to force Netero to admit defeat.
Fortunately, I think Netero's safe for now thanks to the conditions of the battle, but still...
...Togashi's probably going to end up finishing this one off in some insanely out-there fashion. I really can't see it happening any other way.
Prediction:
Netero will be eaten by the king, making him omnipotent but well meaning. Pufu will be killed because he can't accept that development.
IDK, the netero has a plan, I mean, I doubt the world's greatest hunter would be defeated so easily. Especially with the whole show's message of no "certainty in nen battles."
I think what Netero would do next is try to get the king to either the human side or the chimera side. He said that being stuck made the king more dangerous and Netero telling the king his name might decide which side the king lands.
That's essentially weakening the king psychologically.
Does that make any sense at all?:wassat:
Does anyone have any speculation about How he would become less dangerous if he tipped to the chimera side?
I can't really imagine why a hesitant king is worse then a ruthless powerhouse helllbent on eating the world…
Yeah, the thing that's made him worth being allowed to live at this point is the fact that he's become progressively more and more human.
The dangerous part about this "blending" is that his overall outlook is more like an ant's.
The more human he becomes, the less dangerous he is. Before, he was going on about how eating sweet delicious human brains was like opening a candy wrapper, and now he's emo-ing about how he killed a little boy who might have had the potential to be better at something than him.
The trick is to get him to value all life, not just some.

Wouldn't that be because he develops some sort of humanity, meaning some sort of moral and ethics? I mean it's not that rare in manga stories that former antagonists become allies because they develop towards that direction bit by bit.
Is my post that horribly phrased? barkadat3d said that the king was more dangerous blended then as either pure ant psyche or pure human psyche.
What i was asking was Why would the king be less dangerous with a pure ant psyche then in this blended state.
you (Ivotas) seems to answer why he is less dangerous in this blended state then in a pure ant one? =S
If he would become fully human, they could appeal to his human side to stop his world conquest. If he switched to animal, they could use his animal instincts against him, just as Morau and Knuckle did against Yupi.
A mixed personality would make him completely unpredictable.

Apparently yes, otherwise I would have responded accordingly. ;P
