We'll find out in time, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't any islands in between Fishman Island and the Red Line. After all, FI has been talked about for so long that it's most likely going to be a major arc, and entering the New World will probably be pretty big as well, so presumably there'll be at least one or two smaller arcs first.
There might even be a big one; if Blackbeard has handed over Ace to the WG he'll probably be in Impel Down by now (assuming he's not dead), and I'm thinking the WG will be bragging about that all over the newspapers. So, Luffy & Co exit the Furorian Triangle, get the paper, and head straight to Impel Down, 'cos I don't think Luffy would take news like that very well.

But then again, with Oda you never know, right?

Oda might be doing this to see how the rest can handle without the super powers of the crew. then when all is settled, everyone goes on to their respectful fights.

That's what I've been thinking too, especially when people call Usopp/Chopper/Nami "useless". They could be proving their worth in this arc, ne?

And by the way, am I the only one who thinks that Absalom is hot? He reminds me of Sawyer from Lost for some reason…
