The Cell-Cell Fruit. By eating this fruit, the user effectively becomes a cell man. As a cell man, their brain becomes a conscious nucleus, capable of manipulating his or her genetic code through thought. The user's skin becomes a phospholipid membrane, which enables fluid movement across any surface. The user is also capable of Mitosis, which allows self replication. Honestly, just by knowing simple Cell Biology, you'd can just imagine how much functionality this fruit could have.

RE: Most Disappointing Thing in One Piece
I suppose your right. I did overlook quite a few bits of information when I wrote this. I never really paid attention to the significance of Kuma's Bible. Thanks for pointing that out.

RE: Most Disappointing Thing in One Piece
I really hate how conveniently Oda (in the form of Kuma) delivered Luffy and his crew to their post time skip training zones. Every single place the Strawhats were sent was so god damn ideal. I wonder how Oda will explain to the reader how Dragon knew each Strawhat by heart and had an Island specifically tailored for their training, because otherwise, I will call this plot point really cheap writing.

RE: The Lev Ely Discussion Thread
Does anyone else think the King of Goa will be revealed during the reverie? Oda hid him for some reason during the Ace-Luffy-Sabo Flashback. Does anyone have an idea why Oda may have hidden him.

RE: How would you use devil fruit powers in the real world?
I think something like this should be in the general One Piece section, but whatever.

RE: Chapter 734: "Rommel's Whirlwind"
In paradise, Moria was strong, in the New World he was massacred.
/QUOTE] Correction. Moriah was strong in the New World. His crew, from what we know, was not. Kaidou was strong in the New World; his crew was also strong in the New World. According to the Word of God in the dialogue of fodders during Thriller Bark, Moriah was, at one time, capable of fighting Kaidou at equal; Moriah's crew, however, was curb stomped by Kaidou's far superior crew. I might be wrong, as information seems to get extremely twisted as it moves from person to person in the One Piece world, but this is how I interpreted Moriah's failed venture into the New World. -

This thread is rapidly making me lose my faith in humanity.
But on the positive side it's a cinch to be nominated for 2014's worst thread.
. This thread isn't that bad. It did last like 60 pages before it hurled out of the topic's orbit.

RE: Chapter 734: "Rommel's Whirlwind"
Robzilla, to say Blackbeard was never strong enough to be a yonkou without his devil fruits is more up for debate than you think. Sometime ago, Blackbeard battled Shanks. From what we know, Blackbeard did not have a single Devil Fruit during this fight. Shank told Whitebeard he went all out against Blackbeard and also, Shanks points out that it was Blackbeard who gave him the three-slash scar on his face. Then, in contrast, Whitebeard did destroy Blackbeard in a one on one skirmish, and it should be noted that Whitebeard was half-dead as he curb stomped Blackbeard. The point is, Blackbeard's strength before he had devil fruits is rather ambiguous.
Regarding Burgess' power level, at least pretime skip, Burgess had to at least be as strong as the top tier supernovae. Rember, when Blackbeard captured Bonnery, he considered her and her 140000000 bounty far too weak to join the Blackbeards. This information means that Blackbeard considers Burgess significantly stronger than Bonnery. As Bonnery was too weak to join, but Burgess wasn't its safe to say Burgess should be quite a powerhouse, especially with his newly found New World experience. Personally, I feel that Burgess is right around Ace's power at this point, but that is a groundless statement.

I like how both the winter storms in the USA this year have been given names. Hercules and Ion. I don't remember a single storm in my past 17 years of life having names and now they're two of them.

RE: Most Disappointing Thing in One Piece
So far, the dwarves have been extremely disappointing. They all share a monochromatic personality, and are all highly forgettable characters. I hope Norland's involvement in their history, and Manshelly rectify the Dwarves as a species.

RE: Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"
Even though it is unlikely the former will win, with the events of this chapter, it seems Usopp and Dwarves vs Trebol and Sugar might actually happen. At least, I hope it will….

RE: Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"
Gah, enough with the God damned reveals: Sabo and Koala, Fujitora, and Meadows (an off thought, but considering the relation between the definitions of the words meadows and vista, I could see it happening). I am tired of Oda introducing and reintroducing major players with no established foreshadowing; with all these simultaneous reveals, I wouldn't be surprised if Blackbeard shows up, One Piece is discovered, and the Final War occurs during Dressrosa. I will say it as I said before: Dressrosa is the biggest clusterfuck in the history of One Piece. If Oda reveals one more powerhouse, this arc could take a turn for the worse. Maybe I am just being pessimistic, and Oda knows what he is doing, but still.

RE: Chapter 732: "The Underground World"
Ussop and Dwarves vs Trebol. Usopp unleashes Haki in accordance with his lie earlier in the arc. Usopp defeats Trebol. Probably not…......

RE: Official Dressrosa Thread
In concern to the poll, I believe that Doflamingo will more likely than not be defeated this arc; as much as I wanted Dofla to continue on as a big bad, it seems Oda is making Luffy detest Dofla more and more and from past experiences with Crocodile and Lucci, this mean Doflamingo is going down. The only way I can see Dofla continuing on as the big bad in a later arc is if Momo's unsaid importance to Doflamingo perpetuates into the Wano arc; if this does occur, Doflamingo will be defeated in the Wano arc.

RE: Chapter 731: "Dressrosa Operation SOP"
When I was looking at the spoilers and saw Sabo's name, I sincerely thought Redon was joking. It wasn't until I saw the raw that I actually understood that Sabo was back. Now I must say, BURN IMBECILIC NAYSAYERS WHO ACTUALLY THOUGHT SABO WAS DEAD!!!! BUUUUURRRNNNN FOR YOUR IGNORANT BLASPHEMY AND SUBPAR READING SKILL!!!!.. Uhum. That is all.
-
RE: Chapter 731: "Dressrosa Operation SOP"
Even though I just as amped up about the Sabo reveal as everyone else, the arc is just becoming too much of a clusterfuck. I just don't know how Oda will be able to effectively manage 100+ named Characters, many of which are important outside the arc, and get away without causing collateral damage to One Piece as a work.
-
RE: Official Dressrosa Thread
While I can see Dofla being defeated in the present arc, there is possibility, in my opinion that Doflamingo might be defeated in the Wano arc. There is no way , however, Doflamingo is surviving as an a main antagonist past Wano. That is one thing that is certain.
-
RE: Chapter 730: "3 Cards"
This arc is the biggest clusterfuck of named characters in One Piece History. I counted about 55 and even then, that not all of them.

RE: General Blackbeard Thread
I thought we were at half of the series by now, And we havent seen much appearances of dragon. Dressrosa reminds Luffy of the place where he and ace grew up. That was also a place where Dragon made an appearance in the past.
When did Dragon show up in the Dressrosa flashback?

We all love to hate blackbeard. Probably one of the most likeable villains ever
I was aiming those words at one of Idofla's previous quotes; it appears I failed. Hooray for the awesomeness that is blackbeard.

Why you no like Blackbeard? His interactions with Luffy are amongst the best in the series and the secrets surrounding him give off good discussion topics, and how can you not like his laugh…...it helps define him his a character.

In what way does this childish discussion regarding Luffy and Akainu have anything to do with Chapter 729 or for that matter the Dressrosa arc. I'm no mod nor do I post much but seriously. On a more off tangent note, it amazes how many messages have been submitted to this thread. It is the largest chapter thread in a long while. ****(I now see why this discussion is off topic)

RE: One Piece 721 : Rebecca and Mr. Soldier
Ace was the captain of the Spade pirates. Does anyone think that Dofla's Spade Seat Member has any relation to the Ace and the Spades?
-
RE: Chapter 720: Convict Gladiators
what is there to suggest that either of those things are any more than complete fantasy
I obviously don't like the idea of Nami-clone joining either. My suspicions stem the from fact that Rebecca does have a depressing past- a characteristics which all Straw hats are known to have. Aside from that fact, she doesn't have much going for her. Its not like Luffy shouted be my crewmate as soon as he saw her. Let's hope your right and I'm wrong.
-
RE: Chapter 720: Convict Gladiators
My greatest fear is coming true: Rebecca (Naomi) might actually receive the Fire Fruit and become a Straw Hat. Oh Oda, please don't let my suspicions ring true, and choose someone with an interesting design.Shudders
-
RE: Chapter 720: Convict Gladiators
I don't know why, but kind of like the idea of Burgess winning and/or recieving the Ace's fruit for BB. It would give Luffy another reason to take down Blackbeard in their final encounter. Is it wrong of me to wish misfortune on Luffy?

RE: Things That You Would Like to See in the Manga
Another Luffy vs other Strawhat battle (like Luffy vs Usopp) (Its moments like that in One Piece that give characters real development)

RE: Character Backstories
Here is a list of backstories/flashbacks that might occur in One Piece. The first thirteen will occur in some way shape or form. Anything following thirteen might not happen.
! 1) Dressrosa History (Kyros/Norland/Dwarves/Toys)
! 2) Doflamingo/Law (Bellamy, to some extent?)(Probably Mixed with Dressrosa)
! 3) Akainu vs Aokiji
! 4) Akainu
! 5) Aokiji
! 6) Blackbeard
! 7) Dragon /Revolutionary
! 8) World History
! 9) Next One or Two Crewmates (Depending on whether Jinbe joins and whether Jinbe has more backstory)
! 10) Kuma/Vegapunk
! 11) Bonney (Her issue with Blackbeard and the World Government)
! 12) Roger Pirates/Roger/Shanks
! 13) Momonosuke/Kinemon
–----------------------------
! 14) X-Drake (Considering he is an ex-marine, his reason for deserting marine might turn out to be important)
! 15) Kidd (Out of all the Supernova, he seems to take the cake as Luffy's main rival; other than that, nothing about his character seems to be involved in the meta plot)
! 16) Tashigi (Definitely unlikely, but if she is Kuina in some way shape or form, I could see her getting a proper flashback)
! 17) Sanji's Second Flashback (Once again, unlikely, but Sanji birth in the North Blue, in contrast to the other Straw hats East Blue and Grandline origins [Aside from Brook], might allow this to happen)
! 18) Moriah (similar to Ace and Whitebeard's flashback at the beginning of Marineford, ends when Moriah and his crew are obliterated at the hand of Kaidou)
! 19) Crocodile (similar to Moriah's, explains Crocodile's history with Whitebeard as well as his secret)
! 20) Enel (Considering that Birka, Enel's homeland, was one of the various groups that descended from the people on the moon, I feel this might just happen)
! 21) Urouge (He is probably a Skypeian; that fact alone might warrant him a backstory)
! 22) Wano History (Not enough information yet, But Wano's disconnect from the rest of society and One Piece's connection with Oda's previous manga, Wanted, would be something interesting to learn about)
! 23) Elbaf History (The Land of the Giants, who does not want to learn more about One Piece's giant)
! 24) Shanks (I feel his history will be revealed in other flashbacks, but one that is individualized just for him might happen)Can anyone think of something I didn't mention.

RE: General Blackbeard Thread
That was an assumption on my part, but I feel it is rather apparent at this point. Did you even read what I had to say?
Anyways, like you said, Oda could just happen to be inconsistent with Blackbeard's teeth. If Oda had made one or two mistake with the teeth, I would whole-heartedly agree with you. However, I cannot see this to be the case– Oda has made at least ten or more mistakes in this matter. As I already said, there are definitely two teeth configs that have appeared more than once in the manga. My theory is that the large amount of inconsistency exist because of Oda has difficulty with remembering the visual differences between Teach and his 'alter egos'. Please don't scoff at the idea unless you've seen all of Teach's appearances.
-
RE: General Blackbeard Thread
Its a well known fact that Blackbeard is more than one person. When Luffy and Zoro agreed that Teach was "they", not "he", this fact became rather apparent. While I do not intend to further theorize upon Blackbeard, I would like to bring up some rather interesting information regarding Blackbeard's teeth.
– Blackbeard has at least two different teeth configurations
1. 2 teeth missing on the top, one tooth seperates the gaps) bottom ( one tooth missing at the mid bottom jaw)
2. 2 teeth missing on the top, 2 teeth missing on the bottom-- In all the flashback panels his face directly appears in, a non existing tooth pattern appears; Luffy remember's blackbeard teeth incorrectly when confronting BB in Impel Down, Sen Goku imagines Blackbeard with a full set of teeth when raiding Impel Down.
-- When confronting Luffy, Ace, and Bonny, Blackbeard's Teeth are in the config 1
-- When he is with only with his crewmate's, his teeth appear in config 2
-- Before Blackbeard takes White Beard's fruit he is config 2. Afterward, when using his newly obtained power, his teeth take on config 1
It should also be noted that as the series goes on, Blackbeard's appears to become more manic and power hungry. Compare Blackbeard's Dream Speech at Jaya to Blackbeard's confrontation at Impel Down to see what I mean.
Check chapters 223, 225, 234, 235,236, 440, 441, 542, 543, 549, 576, 577, 578, 579, and 595. These chapter include the majority of Blackbeard's appearances. You'll see what I see if you look closely.

RE: Dumb Predictions
1. Every generic chick with boobs joins the crew
2. Zoro turns into an okama when he opens his closed eye
3. Chopper turns into his full human form (might happen sometime for comic relief)
4. Whitebeard and Ace come back from the dead, morph into one, and become the main antagonist of one piece
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
Consider this; Blackbeard's giant crewmate, San Juan Wolf, is by far the largest humanoid character we have met in the series- at four times the size of a normal giant, he even surpasses the massiveness of Thriller Bark's Oars. At the end of the series, it is rather apparent that each of the Strawhats will be challenged by one member of Blackbeard's menacing crew, so, who will duke it out with Wolf? In today's chapter, dwarves were introduced. In constrast to the stereotypical bearded, short, and stubby visage most people attribute to the mythical being, Oda gave the dwarves an adorable, miniscule appearance, super strength, and extreme agility. And that just gave me an idea– wouldn't it be hilarious if a dwarf nakama duked it out with the San Juan Wolf? Maybe its a silly idea, but who would not want to see a tiny person give the beat down to the largest character in the series...........Her dur
