RE: Gear 4th
I would absolutely love it if the reason Luffy doesn't use Gear 4th more often is because he might lose his thongs, he flicks them off quite obviously.

RE: One Piece: Unlimited World Red (2014 Worldwide Release; 3DS/Wii U/PS3/Vita)
There are physical copies for Wii U? I thought they said ONLY digital :0
Well, yeah, the physical copies are being sold in Australia, but I want the digital copy, but it's not showing up on eShop.
Which is ridiculously weird, because Nintendo aren't even addressing the issue online.
It's just not there. It's supposed to be, but it's not.Btw, if you go on the Nintendo of America site the game is there and obviously available on eShop
Yet the Australian sister site (and eShop), only shows the 3DS version. Doesn't even register that the Wii U version even exists.
I have never run into a problem like this before. It's mind boggling.

RE: One Piece: Unlimited World Red (2014 Worldwide Release; 3DS/Wii U/PS3/Vita)
Being an avid supporter of both One Piece and Nintendo, I wish to purchase this game for my Wii U
(I would get it for 3DS, but I just need it on my gamepad and 55'' screen, it's like a million times the size and resolution).Unfortunately (only in this case, not many others), I live in Australia,
WHERE,
FOR SOME GIBBIDY FLOPPIDY REASON IT'S NOT SHOWING UP ANYWHERE!
ESHOP, EB GAMES, KMART… EVEN JB HIFI FOR MY MOTHERS SAKE!I've been searching the net all day, my fingers are weary and my brain zonked.
I just cannot, for the utmost life of me, find out where Australia is hiding the game,If anyone knows anything about what in the Divine Place of Damnation is going on here, I would love to find out.
I mean like, I have the money here and Nintendo just won't take it.I'm sorry for my French.

4. Cell - Dragonball
3. Mingo - One Piece
2. Johan - Monster
1. L - Death Note -
RE: Chapter 735: "Fujitora's Intentions"
IF (and I mean if) Luffy has a proper showdown with Mingo, who is going to occupy Issho?
I don't think Zoro'mon would be enough, maybe he'll sit back and watch after hearing about the dirty secrets of Dressrosa? -
RE: Chapter 735: "Fujitora's Intentions"
Sabo showing some enthusiasm for the upcoming fight. Good.
Fuji badassery levels reaching uncharted territory. Awesome.
Doflamingo getting brushed aside. Fantastic
Senor Pink. Hard Boiled. -
RE: Chapter 732: "The Underground World"
Has anyone else noticed, Eyewear is a thing this saga.
Aviators, Aviators everywhere.

RE: Chapter 732: "The Underground World"
Western views are in a state of embarrassment,
I enjoy One Piece for how it remains so quirky and fun on the outside, yet displays in relative detail, many errors in the World today
From racism, to slavery and corrupt governments. Providing emotional connection to problems that readers see in day to day lives. The scene, in question, as awkward and uncomfortable as it may be, should not be seen as a form of sexism in a negative way
He is merely portraying an antagonist with deeds that aggravate and spur emotion from the reader, sometimes it's just more noticeable than other circumstances
Oda has depicted many situations in similar fashions, he takes what is wrong and has subtly written an act that symbolizes a characteristic aligned with the character's personality. For Oda to move onto more traumatic and controversial subjects, I implore thee.

RE: Chapter 717: "The Forgotten of Dressrosa"
"Devil Fruit User" Could be Moria, but the forgotten pasts of the Toys points to something new.
Loving the dark twist placed upon the Toys.
Oh such an Oda, taking a big, mean and vicious gargantuan, then making him cry.

RE: Dumb Predictions
the problem is that whoever eats his piece first will get the fruit's powers and everyone else doesn't. This gives me an idea: Mera Mera Fruit Russian Roulette. All non DF users on the crew will eat a part of the fruit, but the catch here is that they will also wear a special sea stone bracelet that is enough to cancel a DF ability but not enough to make a DF user in the strength level of a ST feel weak. After that, in the moment of need they will all take of the bracelets and someone will have a powerful ability. (also important that none of the participants will ever consider or try to swim, which is why Sanji most likely to not take part in this, and maybe Zoro)
With this I have always wondered, do you get like some sort of tingling sensation when your body is engrossed by a demon?
-
RE: Dumb Predictions
Luffy will win the Mera Mera, and then have Sanji use it as an ingredient. Then have all the SH's eat the succulent meal.
They all have a little bit of Fire, but not much, kinda like a lighter.Or they will feed it to Sunny, and watch as awesomeness ensues.

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
@Monkey:
Are you saying Smoker leans toward Absolute Justice??
No, no. Smoker is aligned with Aokiji, but under Sakazuki, the Marines are under the rule of Absolute Justice.
Where Smoker would not fit in.
Which could therein be an Aokiji like path, but not necessarily aligned with him.@Monkey:
Yeah, I think he would eventually at some point. Akainu obviously isn't the only one in the Marines into the fascism thing.
Seems messy to me, a major 10 day fight that wasn't shown to have a rematch? I'm leaning toward Dragon or Coby.
but I think it can be assumed that part of the reason he was stationed at G5 was so that he could specifically catch the one group of pirates who escaped him at Loguetown, and specifically Luffy.
It does match his characteristics of hunting down any criminal who escapes his grasp, remember Alabasta, Ace escaped him, but he still went straight past him to Luffy, due to Luffy being his number 1 target.
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
Akainu represents everything that is wrong with the Marines, whereas Aokiji is the good, and what should be.
Smoker has aligned himself with that side numerous times. The future of the Marines does not seem like it will cater to that way of thinking. (Absolute Justice)@Monkey:
and that's the side of the Marines that I'm seeing coming to blows with the likes of Akainu.
Would Aokiji rematch Akainu? It doesn't seem like a role for Smoker.
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
@Monkey:
A total collapse of authority seems really unlikely.
The WG may die off (to be replaced by something like the UN rather than the NWO), but the Marines are likely to survive in some form.
I imagine a civil war if anything within.I agree with this, but a reform maybe?
Coby obviously has some part to play in that. Marines without the WG?But as far as Smoker goes, he is known as the "White Hunter" chasing Luffy seems like his whole character basis.
Joining the SH seems off, but I don't see him as playing part in the Marines destruction. -
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
With the progression of the story, the way it's headed is toward the collapse of the WG/Marines, with the development and backstory that Smoker has, don't you think detaching himself from the Marines would buy him a more defining role?
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
Jinbe is without a doubt joining, there are factors that I've even played with to why he wouldn't but he is.
IMO, He will join as the Vice Captain, who has been officially named VC of the SH?
Some have speculated it to be Zoro, but there's no evidence,
But there is evidence suggesting that Jinbe will take on that commanding position.
-Helped Luffy throughout he's adventure ID, MF, he was guiding him, like Luffy's common sense.
-Familiar with New World, it wasn't until Robin joined that they had someone who knew the Grand Line.
-Too many things pointing to it. Already pretty much accepting, incredible power, strong link to Luffy, ect. What really got me buzzing though, (linking to a theory that One Piece ending will have something to do with destroying FI)
Jinbe will be the link, that boards every single Fishman onto Noah, clearing Fishman Island of any citizens.
The strong link between the Fishmen and The Strawhats keeps on growing, with all the foreshadowing, Fishmen are certainly going to have a part to play in the Ending Arc (war perhaps) having a Fishman would only make sense.Jinbe has taken on a dream, the one of Fisher Tiger. He may not have seen it that way in the beginning, but, he still has that ambition.
Luffy - Shanks
Robin - Ohara
Zoro - Kuina
Sanji - Zeff
Chopper - Hiluluk
Franky - Tom
Brook - Rumbar Pirates
Usopp and Nami however, eh.Most of them, have they're dreams spurred on or strengthened due to a close friend helping them realise it.
Jinbe wanting the fishmen to be on par with humans, can be taken to the end of the grand line.
Just because he has gone through an irregular joining path, doesn't mean he won't, he will. -
RE: Dumb Predictions
So the tournament gave me a stupid idea.
Stelly is Bartolomeo.
Bartolomeo is stelly.
It's happening. It is beyond doubt now, sabo will return.
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
@Monkey:
Wait how do Brooke's, Zoro's, Chopper's, Usopp's and Sanji's involve the One Piece treasure?
Franky wants to build and guide the ship to make the journey.
Robin wants to find the Void Century, which is almost definitely involved with Raftel.
And Nami wants to map the world, which means the basically uncharted end of the Grand Line.
And Luffy duh.But that's five versus four not involving Raftel. Even if you argued that All Blue will be involved with the end of the Grand Line, that's four people who don't need it. Brooke in particular is problematic for you.
Law isn't joining the crew.
I just always presumed that all their dreams would be fulfilled in the last Saga.
As far as The Strawhats go, everyone of them has shown clear resolve to the extent of their own lives to make Luffy Pirate King.
Jinbe obviously falls directly into that category- He promised Ace, he would look after his younger brother
- Luffy is one of few people to gain Jinbe's respect.
But the one thing that makes a Nakama, is their own dream can be achieved through the travels of Luffy. - He would seek out and destroy that which kept them from joining.
- They would show signs of not wanting to join after being asked. (except Robin, barely Usopp)
- Then it would be shown that their dream would be achieved if they join Luffy on his adventures.
^^^ Jinbe has followed this so far. But my query is, what would his dream be, if it exists at all?
@Monkey:
Jinbei will join for the same reason, he wants to help Luffy become Pirate King, he made a promise to ace to watch over Luffy and what better way to do that than to help Luffy achieve his dream.
See above.
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
I've had a quarrel about Jinbe joining a couple days ago.
One Piece, as serious as it is, can always be bought down to the basics.
What doesn't fit for me is, What can will/can he accomplish by reaching One Piece?
Everyone else has a goal/dream that they're whole reason for being is to get there.
Jinbe doesn't fit this in my opinion. Although his history has only been vaguely shown, there's no real internal struggle.Going into history and connections that are vague. Trafalgar.
We're about to see his history/childhood, linked to Doflamingo.
As far as most of the crew members, before they join, Luffy would deal with their problems then help seek out their dream.
Trafalgar is following suite, if only slightly. -
RE: Dumb Predictions
Norland was the first person to find the One Piece, no one believed him.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
Isn't it simple if oda just wrote the text to be "i am gonna be a PK!"?
Isn't the ace and sabo's reaction as the person who want to be a pirate too normal?
sorry for the grammar, feel free for opinionI actually agree with this. I was thinking this the other day.
I always wondered why Oda didn't just show what Luffy had said. Instead, cut it off and showed mixed reactions from Sabo and Ace.
I'm going off fumes here, but has Luffy ever said the words, my dream is to become Pirate King?
In my books he always says I'm GOING to become Pirate King. Like that's a goal rather than a dream.
"I decided to become Pirate King" What's his DREAM? One Piece is revolved around dreams, but I don't tink we know what Luffy's is. -
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
Using support from other theories I want to lay something down.
BB has eaten two devil fruits
-BB knows a whole lot about DF, he used to study them trying to find the Darkness x2 fruit.
-(theory DF migrate to the closest fruit) He used the curtains so no-one knows his secret
-He is able to eat two devil fruits (I believe because he is a "D")
-Is going around getting powerful Devil Fruits users, kills them and gives them to the crew. (a lot of holes here but bare with me)Monkey D Luffy
Unaware that he can eat two DF accidentally or intentionally (so no one else eats it) Gets Ace's Mera Mera no Mi power.
Luffy now Logia and Paramecia on par with BB.
Probably not gonna happen, but just imagine. -
RE: One Piece 712 : Violet
Dofla doesn't want to confront Luffy and Law at the same time, tourney as a distraction. That's why Oda put in the scene of the Tourney starting right on 3pm.
It's literally clockwork.
I wonder what Dofla plans for Luffy, he wouldn't hold him in plain sight and not take advantage of it. -
RE: One Piece 712 : Violet
Well you pointed out really interesting things.
What I'm worried about most is, Dofla, Kaido & the old Gorosei guy. It seems like they might possibly be working for, Kaido or Kaido, is working for them. Just a thought. Can't really figure anything out with this small amount of info. I'm sure it's going to be revealed in this arc though. Maybe…And yeah, Fuji is interesting but he did target, Law who's working with, Luffy. Fuji, might end up fighting, Doflamingo. I'm sure, Doflamingo may end up coming close to killing, Law unless he finds a way out. Fuji, may save him or possibly, Robin and Usopp. I wonder if the focus on the next chapter will go to tournament...?
I hope something about Kaido is revealed soon. He has been speculated upon for too long now. But maybe that's what Oda is going for. Complete mystery.
If it's an army of Devil Fruit users (be it fake ones) It would take one hell of a counter attack. Who holds the Firepower beside the Marines?Law has been conserving himself just for Dofla, He is aught to have something up his sleeve. He did say that CC was going to be bait for what he hopes to happen.
Giving Smoker directly intel that he will be at GreenBit.
If history dictates correctly Law isn't the type to be outsmarted. All seems fishy to me. -
RE: One Piece 712 : Violet
Just a thought here,
I think the WG and the Marines are just about to start one massive dispute that could lead to the beginning of the massive climax's we're obviously getting close to. (already mentioned itt)
The WG has gone behind the back of "Saku-San" and he isn't too happy about it, neither is Fuji.
CP0 and Fuji's command, both extremely strong outfits of both organisations. They bout it out, whilst Law/Luffy vs Donquixote Family.
Also, CP0 were spotted just outside the Iron Bridge to GreenBit, a surprise attack maybe?
Also, also, Dofla being connected to the Gorosei, supplying an army to Kaido? What's up with that?I think Fuji showing signs of knowing who Luffy is and not wanting to expose his identity to him are alarm bell city.
He may have his own way of Justice, wanting to save the citizen's first, not usually a trait among most commanding Marines. (since Aokiji)These are merely thoughts I have, don't mind me, continue with you're conversations.
