Maybe Momo was a cryptid fan like Okarun in the past, but her grandma convinced her that cryptids are yokai.

RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
I wonder if there will be an explanation about which rules exist already and which are implemented through the quests. We saw multiple times that Juiz was a boy/guy before gender was added, and the beginning of the manga started without stars and days of the week, but this look had both things. I guess it can be handwaved with Apocalypse rewriting the universe and stuff like UMA Past being name dropped in the first set of quest rewards (when Andy and Fuuko joined near the beginning), but I want something more meaningful.
This chapter also made me thinkg about Mico. How old was she in the past loop? I assumed she was a teenager, but their parents were adults in 1973, so they'd be close to 70 in 2020. She must have been mid 30s at least. I guess if Nico and Ichico hurry up she can be in her early twenties by Ragnarok.

RE: Sakamoto Days
The fight is cool as always, but I don't really care about these people or their philosophies about killers and killing.
-
RE: Dandadan
@kouch_lee I don't think there is. There was an interview where he stated that he was burnt out of making manga and an editor told him to stop forcing himself and just draw whatever he liked. This is how DanDaDan was conceived, and you can still feel how he's enjoying himself with all the crazy concepts and references he includes.
For something more tangible, there's the subterraneans' plot pending. Okarun's balls too, but that plot turned to be too unpredictable.

RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
I just imagined Feng as Team Rocket, appearing each time they fight an UMA and getting defeated each time until his turn comes in a few years.
-
RE: Dandadan
It's been funny to see everyone stealing from the Serpo, and now they're even useful. Hope he gets wrecked while Momo escapes.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Feng has already deaged himself in this loop, since he would still be 120 years old otherwise.
-
RE: The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins
I expect cheating, bullying, suicide attempts, hidden debts and a missing 7th family member who escaped during the accident.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Same, we're finally getting all the character development that we missed in the first loop. I wonder what's the plan with Billy, since he's powered by fake drama. And maybe we'll even get to see some of the negators that he copied? We still don't know about the ricochet ability's name.

RE: Chapter 1066: The Will of Ohara
I wonder if a previous user of the Ope Ope fruit helped with Vegapunk's operation, given that his bodies are still interconnected and his head is open.
-
RE: Dandadan
It's happened every time an alien appears, except for the Serpo the first time they met Momo in the abandoned building (and maybe it did, she was indoors so there was no way to tell). The time limit does seem like a retcon.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
This guy can actually do good character interactions when he's not rushing the story. Let's see if he can keep a good pace for the final arc.

RE: Chainsaw-man
@access-timeco said in Chainsaw-man:
And, well, let's just say the director doesn't seem to be as good with his medium as Fujimoto is with his.
Even if the effect is not the same, it can easily take you by surprise if you don't expect it.
My gripe is that the fights are too long, and certain scenes become repetitive. How many times will we see Denji chainsaw skating along tentacles or intestines flailing in the air? Also, shirts that stay white after being drenched in red or purple blood.

RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Just because it's the last arc doesn't mean it has to be short. Naruto's last arc was 1/4 of its total run (and it was also announced, despite it lasting for years). I expect the manga to end between march and june next year.

RE: Dandadan
Evil Eye wants to fight anyone strong enough. He was tricked into doing a pact with Okarun and he'll break it out of necesity. He has no reason to attack Aira while the aliens are a threat, and after they're defeated he doesn't have any reason to break the pact any further. If he gets a high and loses control, Jiji could still try to supress him, or Aira could pull the same thing that Okarun did and convince him he's not strong enough to beat her.
I expect that Evil Eye will have an arc where he realizes that he can use his strength to protect instead of attacking innocent people. So basically achieve Goku level morality.

RE: The Elusive Samurai
I think he's doing chest compressions to the horse to increase his heart rate.
-
RE: PPPPPP
This arc has been somewhat confusing to me. I don't really get the deal with Lucky's ego/split personality. Also Sorachika's so OP that he feels out of place.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
I don't know what makes people constantly feel like the series is ending. The pace is fast, but the outline of the story was set from early. Also it kept winning prizes and recognitions, so even if it didn't explode in popularity it was a safer bet to just keep it around (at the very least, it's been consistently above Yozakura Family).
Anyway, saving everyone makes a ton of sense and yet I didn't really expect it. Unknown is the only negator that will stay powerless, but his power was actually crap anyway. It seems that Fuuko could see the G-liner's memories without touching it (or she's inmune to it?). Maybe because she's already a negator or as a side effect from the ark. It seems a bit OP, since that means she doesn't need to rely on her past knowledge.
I called Nico and Gina, which is weird because samurai lady and Shen's master are also shown and both are older. Andy could have taken care of samurai lady but I don't know if he ever met the other guy.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
@TLC said in My Hero Academia II - A true Hero:
There are like two black characters in this entire manga and the one hero Hori decided to have take the heat by the heteremorphs for not understanding what it means to be racially discriminated is the black dude lol.
Who's black? Is this an anime thing? They all seem light skinned to me, other than the pink girl.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Fuuko preventing Anno from becomming unknown makes sense, but after that he's kind of useless to her, isn't he? He's just a normal kid. Also I wonder who else has been recruited already. Going by Age, Gina and Nico should be alive already, I think. The old samurai lady too, but she doesn't feel like main cast material.

RE: Sakamoto Days
There hasn't been an anime announcement. There was a rumor about this, Undead Unluck and Yozakura Family getting animes like 3 months ago, and so far Undead Unluck has been announced and Yozakura kind of disproved (they mentioned nothing about it for the 3rd anniversary).
This will probably get an anime eventually anyway. -
RE: Dandadan
We have a few pieces.
Okarun theorized that aliens couldn't invade Earth because of spirits.
Aliens use karma as a power source. Whatever it is, it's related to spirits since turbogranny knew about it, and Okarun's balls resemble them.
The serpo were surprised with Turbogranny's abilities surpasing their tech.
Mr. Shrimp and Chiquitita's arc already worked with the idea that something that is rare and expensive in one planet is common in another (drinking cow milk = blood transfusions). This is probably going the route of Aliens wanting to invade Earth for it's spiritual energy and other resources like cow milk, and the humasn + yokai having to defend it.

RE: Sakamoto Days
"I won't fight him, he's my friend", and next panel the friend randomly falls to death anyway.
-
RE: Black Clover
Now Black Clover makes sense as an Itachi fanfiction. He used his exile to become a mentor figure who would raise the next generation to overthrow the old establishment.
-
RE: Jujutsu Kaisen
If anything, the fact that Japan is apparently the only place with cursed energy when there are clearly curse users and cursed objects from other countries/cultures is weird. They referenced that weird African rope that Gojo destroyed, Nobara's technique is voodoo which is not Japanese and pretty sure some of the one-off characters were foreigners.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
So, they're fighting god with the strongest, one-time-use artifacts even though the plan is to win the next loop? If they defeat god, does Fuuko loop anyway and undo it?
-
RE: Dandadan
She has been for a while, she's jealous of Momo and that's why she doesn't let her in the classroom.
-
RE: Dandadan
I guess that was setup for the class president to become posessed by that spirit.
-
RE: Jujutsu Kaisen
I didn't expect plot progression, so that was nice. I guess angel was one of Sukuna's enemies through time. Or maybe even led the mob who killed him in the first place.
-
RE: The Elusive Samurai
I confess that I read this manga every week but I don't really know what's happening. I just see cool fights and characters.
-
RE: Sakamoto Days
She seems to be the same age as Database and the katana grandpa, which means that in context she's drawn relatively young.
Random, but I sometimes wonder if the dark comedy tone of this manga works against its chances with an anime adaptation.
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
In the redraw, the water became an ocean, Saitama punched from atop an aircraft carrier and the waves pushed everyone to the same place for the Saitama vs. Garou fight.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Sun spit a blob from the back since unmove only works on what Chikara can see, the blob traveled around the world and hit him from behind.
-
RE: Dandadan
Jiji wearing the suit was just a setup to show that the other alien was wearing a suit too (and I think Jiji activating it gave a notification to the alien, not sure). So the scene served its purpose and the story continues.
This new yokai is the take on the slit mouth woman, right? I don't get what pomade is though. -
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Took me a while to get what happened to Chikara. The chapter felt short, but god's presentation was impactful. I wonder if Luna will be painted as the "good" one, despite being passive against Sun.
-
RE: Chainsaw-man
@Ivotas Yes, the second part recently started. It's now in Shonen Jump +, but for us it makes little difference as it's still in mangaplus. It seems to come twice a month*.
-
RE: Chainsaw-man
If he really wants to show he's chainsawman, is there a reason he can't just transform? I don't remember him having trouble switching back, controlling himself or anything that would be a huge issue, other than losing blood.
-
RE: Dandadan
The other alien is also wearing a suit, and I guess the shadows on both sides are his allies?
-
RE: Black Clover
He's probably got Black Clover's version of haki. Using his reading of ki to see into Asta's thoughts.
-
RE: Dandadan
He keeps a small amount of nanoskin to use as a battle suit instead of a mecha.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
So the manga has been selling not so well for a while, we're in the last arc, but we still get an anime adaptation. I don't get it, but I hope they fix the beginning to make Andy less rapey. -
RE: Sakamoto Days
Can someone remind me what was the goal of this arc? I forgot why did they enroll to school and what was Slur looking for in there.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
It was never stated that there would be no loop, only that this time there wouldn't be a 101st quest. I guess there's not much point in theorizing about the game rules when God itself doesn't follow them and just changes stuff to mess with people. He didn't want to do the last quest and also added Seal because Andy killed some Umas on his own. Also Lucy hasn't appeared at all and now she's going to die.
-
RE: Jujutsu Kaisen
I don't understand what the big sister is, a triceratops? a really weird rhyno?
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
Beast King is the lion head guy who attacked Saitama's appartment with the gorilla and some other fodders. Saitama killed him quickly, but he was probably extremely strong (and had better attitude than Carnage Kabuto, so more useful in a group).
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
There was also Beast King, so likely alternate versions of them. Unless there's someone who goes reviving strong characters that Saitama kills to give them a second chance.
Edit: Though Boros seems to know who did it while Beast King doesn't. Could be a nod to the house of evolution producing an actual, highly evolved specimen that exist elsewhere.
-
RE: Jujutsu Kaisen
I can see now why the higher ups don't like the third year's techniques and want them banned.
-
RE: UNDEAD UNLUCK
Popularity constest for couples, apparently. I wonder about the points. The only time they were mentioned, Billy was the second highest and Andy was 9th because he just joined with Fuuko. Maybe it's true that Victor has his own set of points separate from Andy, but I'm leaning on Rip being simply wrong and jumping to conclusions.
