That was fast.
@taboo:
Haha I literally don't give a fuck about this story one bit
I literally don't give a fuck about him or anybody that went or anything that got vandalized. Absolutely zero fucks

And that's a choice you're free to make, but I hope you remember it if an event happens that's exactly the same with the political positions reversed.
@Outerspec:
I'll tell you what the protesters ultimately did. Instead of sitting through some Q&A they made a lot of noise and blew this up into a bigger story than it would have been if it was a quiet campus event. I would not have heard of this idiot unless the protesters did what they did. They got the media attention and focus which would have otherwise been kept to a minimum.
Vandalism with some smeared paint aside, good job protesters and thank you.
Well they sure got it attention, but not in a good way.
You have a speaker at a lecture. There are also some protesters. The protesters don't like what he says. Part of what the speaker says is that these protesters don't want to hear opinions contrary to their own. The protesters start shouting - not even anything about how he's wrong; they just yell "THIS MAN REPRESENTS HATRED", smear paint on their faces (and get it on other things and people), and march out. It doesn't make those protester look like anything but children and only helps the speaker.
I recommend actually watching the video when you get the chance. It's pretty funny.
@Monkey:
And don't bullshit me here. When I mentioned Ann Coulter you scrounged up your nose and went "Ugh, no way, not like her at all.". Because not for two fucking seconds would you entertain the idea of sitting down to discuss jack with Ann Coulter.
Full Disclosure: I know her name through what I can only assume is some kind of political pop culture osmosis, but not enough to have any opinions one way or the other. Which I find kinda weird since I probably should given how vehemently you're saying how she sucks. I guess I should take your word for it?
But like I said above, the protesters' response didn't really do anything but make Milo look good. If they did nothing, it would've just been a quiet event no one cared about with a guy saying some things that are basic common sense (like "segregation is bad" and "college is a place were you should be exposed to new ideas") wrapped up in a ~liberals sux~ package. No one would've cared.
Buuuuut no, the protesters had to go off and add credibility to what he said. By acting like a bunch of children and getting paint everywhere. Because apparently they couldn't think of a more productive way to go about it.
