Sorry if hte topic's titled a bit strangely….. I couldn't find a good wording for it  Which artists' singing voices or singing style do you like the best?

For me, (it's all gonna be japanese sry) male artists:
      1. Inaba Koshi (B'z)
      2. Kimura Takuya (SMAP)
      3. Hyde (L'arc~en~ciel)
      4. Bump of Chicken (Fujiwara Motoo something like that)
      5. Issa (Da Pump)
Honorable mention (lol)goes to Hikawa Kiyoshi and the guy in Yuzu that's not Kitagawa (Iwasawa maybe? don't remember ><) - I personally think they're really good ^^.

      female artists:
      1. Bann Tomiko (DAI)
      2. Shibasaki Kou
      3. Misia
      4. Nakashima Mika or Utada Hikaru
      5. Natsukawa Rimi (She's so good!)
Other "good" ppl imo are Tamaki Nami and Shimatani Hitomi (not getting into the enka lol). I also like Mochida Kaori of ELT.

I'm going by the digitally edited versions or whatever for these voices btw. Whatever's on the cds.... So yeah some of them sound pretty similar live and on cds but others are.......yeah...... lol so let's leave it at that 😉

Anthony Green (Circa Survive, ex-Saosin vocalist), I don't usually like emo type stuff but that guy has the most unique sing voice ever…

His voice is so annoying, though…ugh

                      Hmm…

                      Men-

                      Paul McCartney (The Beatles)
Danny Elfman (The Master! ...and lead singer of Oingo Boingo)
                      David Burn (Talking Heads)
                      Rick O'Casik (The Cars)
                      Simon LeBon (Duran Duran)

                      Women-

                      Annie Lennox (Eurythmics)
                      Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders)
                      Terri Nun (Berlin)

I really like the sound of male voices over female ones.. so it was tough for me to remember female musicians whose voices really impressed me. The men on my list have truly interesting voices in my opinion, with incredible ranges and sounds. Most of those men are the reason I like their bands (With the exception of Paul, I straight love The Beatles.)

I really don't listen to much vocal music for the vocals (which is… weird to say, but it's true  ) so there aren't many voices I stick to in particular. It's kind of obvious from my sig set that I think Imai Tsubasa's voice is pretty damn sexy (which it is), but his isn't really my favorite. He's (and Takki, really) still kinda coming into his own, compared with a group like SMAP or Kinki Kids who've been around for over ten years. No... I'd really have to say Eric Clapton, for male voices at least. There's practically no other musician who can just carry sheer emotion in his voice like he does. Just listen to something like Tears of Heaven and tell me you can't even feel a twinge of it.

Female… I really, really like Alicia Keys and Norah Jones right now - and I LOVE Nakashima Mika ! I was honestly surprised to see her on your list, Lukia; I thought I was the only one who knew about her ! I have both her True and Love albums... I especially like Love (that's confusing to say), since it's stuffed up with jazz inspiration and jazz is my favorite type of music, hands down. There's a sexiness to all three of their voices that is just... gaah it's just awesome. Especially Nakashima Mika's. She's awesome.
