Well, after watching this episode, things are clear: almost every country in the world will be against the Strawhats. But…what happens with the Sakura Kingdom (formerly known as Drum) and Alabasta? They were saved by the Strawhats, will they be against that? And how will Vivi react when she knows Robin is with them?
Alabasta and Sakura

i actually think the WG will try and supress this
-
something that i was talking about with ocean yesterday:
this declaration of war will start the revolution against the world government, and i think this was aokiji's plan from the very beginning. think about how awesomely huge and epic it's gonna be. alabasta kingdom will be the first one to leave the world government and revolt against it, followed by the drum kingdom now led by dolton, the marines at koby's station might become an ally too, and then shanks and whitebeard and dragon, who have been patiently waiting for this moment to begin.
assuming that the D really did come from the kingdom that was once destroyed by the WG, the Ds will now fight back against the WG to reclaim their place and avenge what happened in the past.
of course, blackbeard remains the only D who betrayed his own people and teams up with the world government.
either that, or he is actually a spy sent by whitebeard to infiltrate the WG.
oooooooooooo the speculations XD
-
I think they'll support the World Government. Dalton and Cobra recognize how Luffy was willing to put himself in danger to aid them, even though he's a criminal by the international law standards. By leaving the WG, Sakura and Alabasta becomes enemies of the WG and are subject to punishments like, oh, Buster Call. Since those two kingdoms are stationary, they would be completely razed by such an attack, with many needless deaths.
I think it's best that Dalton and Cobra support Luffy in secret, but publically take a stance against him. Afterall, only the people in those respective kingdoms really know what the Strawhats did; all the WG knows is what Smoker reported to them.
-
I believe that these two countries, plus Water 7, will secretly aid the Strawhats and, in the end of the series, support them openly. Maybe they will be the seed of a new World Government.

I agree with this. Just bluntly telling the WG that we support the strawhats would not be a smart move.
-
they would be buster called before they could get the statement out but I agree with what the others said secretly supporting them till the end.
-
eh, i just think an open war would definitely be massively epic.

Is the Sakura Kingdom even a member government of the WG? I mean the WG didn´t bother to help Drum out when it needed help against Blackbeard. In fact Sengoku didn´t even knew who he was. Doesn´t strike me as the WG held record of what actually happened at Drum.
Now if that was true and the people of the Sakura Kingdom want to approach better times they could start to be an independent nation since being a member of the WG didn´t gain them anything good actually.
Furthermore, would the WG recognize a government/country that has the Jolly Roger as the national flag? Just some food for thought.
-
I actually think Blackbeard is trying to join the world government

It is, but I doubt the member states really contribute much (aside from taxes or whatnot) to the WG's affairs unless there's a sort of "King's Conference" kind of thing. Note that the WG didn't interfere in Alabasta, either, even though there was a Civil War.
-
Vivi probably knows by now that Robin's not all bad since her father would have told her about the events that transpired after Luffy send fly the croc.

Yeah, but.. She nearly killed Pell and didn't go too easy on Vivi. If I were Vivi, I would have a hard time forgiving Roboin, even if I knew that she had joined Luffy's crew.

I know that. What I meant is that the Sakura Kingdom is not Drum Kingdom and that it also has a completely new government. In situations like this international politic negotiations have to start anew. And so far it was nowhere even hinted that the WG and Sakura Kingdom approached each other.

Though on the other hand Cobra knows that Robin saved not only Arabasta but the entire world by not revealing Plutons location to Crocodile.

Does there really need to be a hint? Sakura and Drum are really no different; they're both monarchies, with the same subjects on the same island. The only difference is that there's a name change and a new king, which could have easily occured when Wapol's father died.
-
I'm with Ivotas for this. I don't know if new Drum Kingdom (when did it become Sakura Kingdom anyway? Is that an official name??) is recognized by WG for its new system.
Think of China and Taiwan. The world don't admit Taiwan to be a country. Or Russia and USSR (or whatever the name is, sorry I'm not familiar). I'm sure the world went through some process to recognize the new country to be added to the whatever blah blah blah.
Shit, I don't know all those terminology in English and I'm lazy to look it up x.x

China doesn't want Taiwan to be independent. It has vested interests there. In OP's case, the WG's vested interests are that Drum/Sakura maintain alliance with the WG, supporting whatever the WG deems in the best interest of the planet. In turn, what's good for the WG is the well being of Sakura; if the country went rogue, sending in troops there would be costly, expensive, and a total loss (loss of influence, a former ally, ect.)
Think of it this way. Would the WG recognize Crocodile as King of Alabasta? Obviously, they'd have to; disregarding Pluton, I doubt Alabasta's might could stand against the combined efforts of the WG. Croc would need to establish some credibility, yes, but I fail to see how his word (a former pirate) would be valued over Dalton's.
-
Sakura Kingdom is called as this in the Wapol's ministory. There's a cover showing Kureha and Dolton and the title is "King (or President, can't remember) Dolton of the Sakura Kingdom".

oh. that makes total sense. 0_0 and to think that dragon appeared very early in the series (volume 12?), it's clear that oda has woven an extremely firm and solid plot since the very beginning and he still manages to surprise us all with every arc.
… i'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. XD hails oda

It happened in Wapols side adventure. On the cover page of chapter 243.
And as far as the recognizing thing is concerned. Of course when a government changed the international dialog changes shape. But if a completely new country with a new government is formed then the former bonds don´t mean anything.
It was the Wapol administartion that formed the bonds with the WG. Wapols views mean shit to the people of the Sakura kingdom so if they do care to be a member of it, completely new nagotiations have to emerge. Geographically it may be the same piece of land but politically it is a utterly new country. And since it is political recognitions were talking about, there aren´t any bonds with the WG because there are no ties with this newborn country yet.
Russia and the UdSSR is a great example. Geographically a large part of the land falls under the Moscow administration but politically it is both a) a new country and b) a totally new government. The international relations between the UdSSR Moscow and the Russia Moscow are completely different and that´s all because of the politic change of the country.
