For anyone Not In the Know, Hellsing will be getting a new OVA series which will be based closely off the Original Manga. They will be completely disregarding the Steaming pile of Crap that Was the TV series (Compared to the manga it was crap) and will be Working with a much Higher Budget and will have the manga Ka Availible for most of production.
almost all of the Voices from the Old Series will return, including
Jyouji Nakata as Alucard
Fumiko Orikasa as Seras Victoria
Yoshiko Sakakibara as Sir Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
and Kazuya Nakai as Jan Valentine (Roronoa Zoro in One Piece)
and will include New Characters who only appeared in the Manga, such as
Pip Vernedeadd, A French mercenary. Voiced by Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji in One Piece)

The series wasnt that bad it just went to hell past ep what 7? Where it completely disregarded the events that occur in the manga.

I've been reading hellsing at the gruling rate that maximum7 releases them :) And I cannot wait to see the rest of the series animated. I just hope that it will live upto my expectations as it is one of my favorite series.

Anyway, on the 22nd there will be a preview screening in Japan on TV!! Hopefully Saiyaman or some other Raw Provider will put it online!!!

Demon you mean C70 which was quite simply one of the best chapters in the manga to date :) One which I went to the irc channel and thanked them for. Just its very tedious to wait for apparently monthly hellsing releases from recent memory and only to watch trigun get release after release ^_^

Trigun, we're behind. (trigun is currently 13 Volumes in length, with Volume 14 being Printed in YKO as we speak) we are on Volume 11. in Hellsing However, we are 100% caught up, so we are trying to get caught up in Trigun. THAT is why it is out more than Hellsing

Does anyone have any idea how long each OVA will run? Or hwo much material each will cover? As depending on how caught up you are allot could be covered in one OVA. So maybe longer OVAs covering volumes perhaps?

Each OVA Volume will Cover One Manga Volume. Meaning 12 OVA in total (Number is an Extimationi based on Hirano saying he wants the Manga to run for 10 Volumes, The fact that they will be doing Hellsing: The Dawn, a Prequel to the Series staring young Walter. and the fact that they may add or change around stuff which could lead to a Lengthening of the series, and Hirano may break his plans and Go for more volumes)
Each OVA Episode will be About 50 mins long or more based on how much They can Fit into one OVA. Meaning each one is about 2 Times as long as Each original Anime Episode. Meaning by Normal Anime Episode Length standards, its gonna be about 24 Episodes in Length (12 Double Length OVA eps)

I did everything in Volume 8 from BEFORE that, Nefer-ra does some Sub-par Scans, of the same stuff, but its still good if that's all you can find
the Birds of Hermes did 6 & 7, they do VERY HQ work, but they are arrogant and act like everyone Else who does hellsing Sucks.
Random Manga did 3 - 5
1 - 2 were done by a very odd group that translated all the names wrong, dont know their name

Lurk has the entire hellsing works from M7 and others. IRC distro only, search packlist for it. And read the server rules you have to be registered to access it. Excelleng manga repository. They only lack the last 2 chapters of dawn scanlated on their distro.

I saw the OVA clips the other day. Have to say it looks bloody brilliant! It will be good to see the seires go in the manga's direction (I remember the story being kick-ass!)

Oh man, I watched it…a couple hours ago. It is SO GOOD! I love it already (despite it only having 30 mins of new content). Interesting how they mesh Integra's past in which she awakens Hellsing and some flashes of Sera's past. In my opinion...I believe the CG is done very well (it doesnt really bother the eyes like Lupin's Pycal's revenge movie or something...).

Also they seem to retain some of the oddball humor in which this is exhibited in Sera's dream.

Really, just based on what's come so far, the first three episodes of the TV series were done much better. The art in the new OVAS is really nice, and the voice acting was spot on, but the animation was poor, especially for an OVA (and didn't match up to the voicing in terms of the characters looking the right way at the right time), and the pacing felt all over the place. Certain things were rushed and others took too long.

Hopefully these problems will be ironed out in the next couple episodes though…I still hold out hope that this can be good.

It's early yet, give it time. They're probably waiting to pull out the stops when the Nazi Vampire army makes it's move.

Yeah, Anderson's was by far the most off. Wakamoto is just a very intense voice actor. His performance in and of itself was orgasmically good, it's just Anderson looked so subdued…

And Satsuki, like I said, I still have hope. I'm just saying I'd like to see some significant improvement over the next couple episodes, especially with so much potential goodness coming.

Question! Did the first DVD have two episodes on it? I've only found one so far (up to Anderson's first battle), and I was just wondering if there was more than that on the first DVD. I thought I remembered hearing two episodes per disc, so..

Also, is there any word about Cross Fire being animated as well? Dunno' if they could fit it in as well as the could fit in The Dawn, but I really love Heinkel and Yumie so here's to hoping.

I think there is only one ep released in each dvd (more money…hahah clever). I am not sure if Cross Fire is being animated <_<

I was at Anime Expo when Hirano and The OVA Staff were having a Panel. I asked "Will the Jan and Luke Weather Reports and Cross Fire be Animated?" and they all at the Same time went "Ah" Like "Ah, THAT'S what we forgot" and then Ueda answered "Since Heinkel and Yumiko Appear in the Main Story, we may end up animating Crossfire in Some Form. but as for the Jan and Luke things… I completely Forgot about them"
So Crossfire Will be in there In some Way, but it Could end up Being a Very Small Way

Jan and Luke are the Valentine brothers. They attacked the Hellsing base directly and killed off most of the foot soldiers. That happened in the first anime series, too.

Crossfire was a series that Hirano actually did before Hellsing starring a couple members of the Iscariot division. Anderson didn't appear, but a rather different Enrico Maxwell did give them their orders. There are only two or three chapters and they appeared in the first few Hellsing manga volumes at the end of the books as extra chapters. The two stars, Heinkel and Yumiko/Yumie do have a minor role in Hellsing later on as well.

Saw it a few days ago and loved every second of it. The comical bits in it were also quite refreshing. I didn't think Alucard could get more pimp with just one OVA, but he did.

Can't wait for the second one to be released!

Watched it in the middle of the night, and it's pretty much everything I expected it be although I took note of some of the changes major & minor
during it. Really can't wait to see the Valentine Bros, The Wild Geese, & The Major.

I thnk the Question on Jan and Luke was what the Weather Rrports were. The Jan and Luke Weather Reports are little 1 - 6 Page mini-comics that appear at teh end of each Hellsing Tankobon, they are stupid little joke things that I find hillarious. there's a part in V 4 I think from before Gonzo's TV anime came out, Hirano Thought at that point that it'd be good [HA] and Jan and Like were saying that this mnkes Hirano and AnimeKa but He messed with the Words to say AniMeka [Ani-mecha, Ani means Older Brother] and since Luke is Older, he turned into a Mecha XD
I thought these would be good to stick on the DVDs as Hosts to the Making of Video's and Stuff, or A Special Commentary Track. I sugested it but They didnt do it on the First DVD at least
