The Two combatants stood across from each other in the middle of the ring. Rogue looked over to find the leader of the Fantastic Four puzzling over the situation.
"Hey there, what's goin on?" she called out as she flew over to him.
" I believe they intend for us to fight it out in this ring" Reed mused as he scratched his chin.
"Well nuts to that Sugah, don't worry I'll get us out of here" she said as she grabbed Reed and began to fly him and her up out of the arena.
"I don't think that is such a good…" Reed began to say before they slammed into an invisible wall covering the top of the arena. The two fell back down to earth and landed with a crash. Reed slowly pulled himself back up. "As I was saying I don't think that is too good off an idea, I have analyzed the surroundings and they seem to be keeping us here with some sort of force field.
"Now you tell me" Rouge said in a huff as she dusted herself off.
"Rouge I believe we should play along" Reed insisted. "Just pretend to get knocked unconcious so I can buy us some time while I" he said just before she cut him off.
"Hon, you couldn't beat me on your best day" she shouted "so don't give me that macho bull crap".
"I didn't mean to say that" Reed stammered trying to recover his ground.
"You know you have got a serious attitude problem mister and if it is a fight these people wanna see I wouldn't mind shuttin your brainy little butt up" she said as she rocketed towards him.
"But I only said" Reed stammered as he leapt out of the way of a blow that would have surely knocked him unconcious. "I will never understand women" Reed sighed to himself.
